Definition: a type II transmembrane protein present on B cells, monocytes, dendritic cells, and activated T cells; prevents binding of endogenous peptides; expressed in B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia, hairy cell leukemia, and large granular leukocyte lymphomas.
