Definition: a type I transmembrane protein present on B cells and T cells, natural killer cells, eosinophils, monocytes, erythroblasts, thymocytes, and myoblasts that facilitates cell-cell adhesion and leukocyte migration and aids in lymphocyte activation; expressed in melanomas.
