Definition: a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored membrane protein present on T cells, B cells, thymocytes, eosinophils, neutrophils, bronchial epithelium, and salivary glands that may play a role in signal transduction on T cells; absent or defective in patients with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria.
