Cabot ring bodies

Pronunciation: kab′ŏt

Definition: ring-shaped or figure-of-eight structures that stain red with Wright stain, found in red blood cells in severe anemias, possibly a remnant of the nuclear membrane; a form of basophilic degenerative process.
