bullous congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma

 

Definition: diffusely red, eroded skin at birth, with subsequent scaling, tending to improve in later life, characterized by generalized epidermolytic hyperkeratosis and autosomal dominant inheritance.

Synonym(s): generalized epidermolytic hyperkeratosis, ichthyismus hystrix, ichthyosis hystrix
