Definition: Brugada syndrome is a channelopathy (e.g., an abnormal sodium, potassium, or calcium channel function) with characteristic features on electrocardiogram and an increased risk of abnormal heart rhythms from the lower chambers of the heart (ventricular arrhythmia) and sudden cardiac death.
