Bolivian hemorrhagic fever virus
Definition: a member of the Arenavirus group of single-stranded RNA viruses also known as Machupo virus; primary reservoir in rodents; produces multiple abnormalities in the coagulation system including widespread capillary leak syndrome, which can be fatal.
