auricularis superior (muscle)
Definition: facial muscle associated with the external ear; origin, galea aponeurotica; insertion, cartilage of auricle; action, draws pinna of ear upward and backward; nerve supply, facial. Considered by some to be the posterior part of the temporoparietal muscle.
