atypical lipoma

 

Definition: lipoma, occurring primarily in older men on the posterior neck, shoulders, and back, which is benign but microscopically atypical, containing giant cells with multiple overlapping nuclei forming a circle.

Synonym(s): pleomorphic lipoma
