Aspergillus flavus


Definition: a fungal species with yellow-green conidia that is found growing on grains; may produce aflatoxin, which is the cause of aflatoxicosis in poultry and cattle and carcinogenic for rats and possibly humans; causes invasive aspergillosis in humans and animals.
