arrhinencephaly

Pronunciation: ā′rīn-en-sef′ă-lē, -se-fā′lē-ă

Definition: Congenital absence or rudimentary state of the rhinencephalon, or olfactory lobe of the brain, on one or both sides, with a corresponding lack of development of the external olfactory organs.
