Pronunciation: ar′ji-ni-nō-sŭk′si-nāt lī′ās

Definition: An enzyme cleaving l-argininosuccinate nonhydrolytically to produce l-arginine and fumarate; a deficiency of this enzyme leads to argininosuccinoaciduria; catalyzes a step in the urea cycle.
