anterior interosseous nerve

 

Definition: a branch of the median nerve arising in the elbow region, running on the interosseous membrane, supplying the flexor pollicis longus, part of flexor digitorum profundus and the pronator quadratus muscles, as well as radiocarpal and intercarpal joints.

Synonym(s): nervus interosseus antebrachii anteriorTA, anterior antebrachial nerve, nervus antebrachii anterior, volar interosseous nerve
