acute coronary

 

Definition: Refers to conditions that cause insufficient blood flow in the coronary arteries or allow insufficient oxygen delivery to the heart muscle such that the organ is unable to function properly or that heart muscle's cells die. Three major conditions fall into this category: ST elevation myocardial infarction, non-ST elevation myocardial infarction, unstable angina.
