acousticofacial ganglion

 

Definition: a primordial ganglionic cell mass in early embryos that later separates into the acoustic or spiral ganglion of the vestibulocochlear (eighth cranial) nerve and the geniculate ganglion of the facial (seventh cranial) nerve.
