Pronunciation: i'dur-on'i-das

Definition: An enzyme that hydrolyzes terminal desulfated a-l-iduronic acid residues of dermatan sulfate and of heparan sulfate; a deficiency of this enzyme is associated with Hurler syndrome and Scheie syndrome.
