EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVESAt the end of the activity, participants should be able to:•Identify the sonographic findings that are most commonly encounteredwith fetal cardiac abnormalities•List ultrasound features of specific cerebral malformations•Apply the use of Doppler in carotid arterial imaging•Discuss the new AIUM guidelines for the second and third trimester of pregnancy•Restate recent updates in ultrasound diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy•Explain the specific devastating consequences of misdiagnosis of placenta accreta on either ultrasound or MRI•Predict the numerous etiologies that can cause pain in the second and third trimester of pregnancy•Identify abnormalities that can be encountered with scrotal imaging•Review specific ultrasound imaging features of malignant thyroid nodules
