DescriptionWith a focus this year on health equity, national and local experts will describe strategies to engage patients, providers, clinics, and communities in the integrated behavioral healthcare model. Keynote speakers and multiple interactive workshop presenters will inspire participants to foster, implement and enhance integrated behavioral health care approaches and frameworks in their own settings with special attention to strategies for enhancing health equity this year.
Course content and delivery is designed to help participants develop practical strategies and valuable networks while pursuing a plan for behavioral health integration.AudienceThis educational activity has been primarily designed for physicians.Other healthcare professionals interested in Behavioral Healthcare including: physicians assistants, psychologists, counselors, administrators, marriage and family therapists, social workers, advanced nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, health coaches, care coordinators and public health advocates may also find this content relevant to their practice.Activity DesignThis one-day interactive conference will include keynote presentations with question/discussion periods and break-out sessions on a variety of relevant topics.

As a member of the University of Minnesota Interprofessional Continuing Education team, the Office of Continuing Professional Development (OCPD) delivers continuing education planned by the healthcare team for the healthcare team.OCPD partners with departments within the University of Minnesota as well as external organizations, professional associations and hospitals/clinics to plan educational activities that meet Joint Accreditation requirements to offer continuing education to the healthcare team.
