CMV is the most common infectious diseases that causes deafness in children. CMV also causes other birth defects, including microcephaly, mental retardation, and developmental disabilities. Although CMV is far more common in the United States than Zika virus, most parents have never heard of CMV, although knowledge about Zika is commonplace. This conference is ideal for primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, physical therapists and other interested healthcare professionals.
