This seminar will explore the general characteristics of eating disorders and the social/cultural influences that impact the development and maintenance of eating disorders. Attendees will develop strategies for effectively using scripture, prayer and meditation in the treatment of eating disorders. This presentation will expand on awareness of methods for instilling hope in individuals with eating disorders. Participants will also be able to integrate experiential exercises into their professional practices and examine why finding true worth and letting go of cultural expectations are valuable for a client's recovery.
