For Birth Control: took this for 1 month and experienced no major mood swings or nausea. However, immediately, I got CANKER sores (I never get these) and pimples (when my complexion is generally clear). Then I had light spotting for a few days about 1.5 weeks prior to when my period should have came - then it was followed by heavy breakthrough bleeding. Can't recommend this if you're trying to regulate your period. Will be switching to a different brand. |

For Birth Control: Personally, I had an okay experience with Lolo. I was on it for a couple of months. During these few months, I had gained 15-20pounds, got stretch marks around my thighs and breasts, and my boobs went from C’s to DD’s. I was very unhappy with this weight change because it was extremely drastic. I had my period only a couple of times and when I did, it was so short and light that it was as though it was never even there, which was amazing. My mood swings were the same, no change. I have been off the pills for over a year now, still haven’t been able to lose this weight or lower my cup size. I may not have given my body the ability to regulate itself to the hormones, but I really didn’t want it to get any worse than it was. I’m currently trying new birth control pills, which unfortunately have a higher dose of estrogen, but weight gain isn’t a popular side effect. For Birth Control: I have been on this pill since September. Love the low dose hormone vs regular. I don’t feel moody or anxious compared to past pills but I have had a few days where I feel nauseous and can’t figure out why. Not sure if it’s the pill. No side effects except MASSIVE weight gain. My appetite is out of control and I am constantly bloated. I have put on 20+ pounds since I started and am freaking out about it. Not sure what to do, I don’t want to keep gaining. |

For Birth Control: At 41 yo, I recently asked my Dr to go back on a low dose BC despite having had my tubes tied after my last child’s birth. I was suffering from heavy bleeding and cycles ranging from 22 to 32 days and just wanted some predictability. I took Larissa for two packs back-to-back starting off... no real side effects to start, but by week 2, some pimples. They eventually cleared up, but by then the crazy bloating/ constipation/ weight gain had kicked in. My face was puffy, and I didn’t fit in a single pair of jeans despite continuing my usual workout routine and not changing my (healthy-normal) diet. I ended up gaining 12 pounds over 6 weeks, which is a lot of weight for my petite frame! After the 2nd pack, I had a period which was light, but still not worth starting another pack.
