"I had the Reclast done in March 2015. I read the reviews and had put this off for a year, but I am glad I did it because now I have more energy than I did before. I know I kept myself hydrated over a month faithfully, and I experienced no side effects. Awesome."

"Last year's infusion brought four days of fever, made difficult because I can't take aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatories. After two weeks, I'm nostalgic for those symptoms. This time body temp has stayed in the 96.4 range (95.9 this a.m.), when it's usually 97.6-98.6, so I feel very cold-until I get a savage hot flash requiring me to mop myself off with a towel, at least once an hour. I also have muscle cramps waking me up several times a night (more than prior to treatment). I've been lightheaded and fatigued. I also have fibromyalgia, but these symptoms are different/more intense. The doc told me he can do nothing. I'm frantic because I need to work and find that almost impossible. Anyone else with a situation like mine?"

"I had Aclasta on the 21st of November 2019. No side effects for about a week. Now, every day I wake up with side effects of bone pain and muscle pain. Sometimes my feet are very sore. Hope all this stops soon. I will not be having any more Aclasta."

"Worst medication I’ve ever had. I got all the severe side effects. Joint and muscle pain, headache, nausea, chest and abdominal pain, chills. This medication is torture. If you want to experience all kinds of body aches and pain, take this medication. I do not recommend it, and I will never take it anymore, even if I was going to die."

"I had the Reclast infusion less than 1 week ago. First day seemed fine until the evening, then a headache started. Ended up in bed for 2 days due to exhaustion, body aches, fever, and a severe headache. 3rd day, the pain in my thumbs started, barely able to use my hands. 4th day, I experienced neck pain, and I'm almost afraid of what else might come up. I'm debating whether or not I'll take this again next year. I'm unable to do my normal exercise and stretching due to joint pain."

"I am 66 years old. I had my first Reclast infusion in December 2020. The first week was met with a severe migraine that lasted 7 full days. As soon as that went away, the bone pain came. My shoulders, ribs, hips, and legs felt like they were breaking. I cried when trying to get out of bed or up out of a chair. Two weeks ago, the burning started. Felt like my bones were burning from the inside, and it was painful to use my hands. This is on top of my bones still feeling like they are breaking. This past week, the tremors started. At this point, it's getting harder to fight off the depression. I was a very active person. Side effects are getting worse. I fear this medicine will never get out of my bones or that it's already caused permanent damage. Reclast has destroyed the past 6 months of my life and my body. Does anyone have a timeline they can give me for how long it took to get out of your body, where you had the side effects 6 months or longer?"

"I had Reclast infusion 4 weeks ago. Felt fine for the first week and then got lower back, hip, groin, and thigh pain. Pain is getting worse by the day. I was told by 3 doctors that I needed Reclast because I have 50% bone loss due to chemo and radiation. When I questioned side effects, all doctors told me it's rare. I took a chance and I am miserable."

"Received dose at 11am, by 10pm that night I had fever, chills, severe pain in back. I was extremely ill for 3 days, such a severe headache I couldn't open my eyes. A week later my hands suddenly swelled to the point I could not use them. Now nearly 3 months later I am in physical therapy to try to regain the strength in my legs. Other side effects were less severe, such as jaw pain for a few weeks. I would never ever take this medicine again."

"I had the Reclast infusion back in March 2019. I have experienced more bone pain than I did prior to the infusion. Still in pain. The day after I had the infusion I had to go to the ER due to higher than normal blood pressure. 196/102. A headache, etc. Is this normal to still be in pain and fatigued?"

"I am 73 years old, have been using Reclast injections once a year for 7 or more years. My last bone density test showed good improvement. I had slight soreness the first time and have had zero side effects since. I am going in today for another test. I guess we all tolerate different things, I take no other medications whatsoever. But for me, this seems to be working."

"I had my 2nd Reclast infusion a week ago. Drank plenty of water before and after. Took precautionary acetaminophen for two days after. No side effects whatsoever. There was an improvement in bone density after 1st time (3 years ago)."

"I will never try Zometa again. I had horrific side effects. I passed out 7 hours after home from infusion, my neighbor called paramedics. My blood pressure dropped to 80/58. I’ve had full body ache, headache, sweats, and chills for 3 days so far."

"I’m a 57-year-old woman. I had my first infusion of Reclast Monday morning. I drank water during the procedure. I was not informed to drink water prior. I felt fine after the infusion. By the evening, I started feeling achy. Tuesday, I couldn’t go into work. I had a 101.6 fever, shaking, chills, joint pain, migraine, all-over body aches, and slept pretty much all day. I cannot take Tylenol due to another medical condition, so I took Naproxen 2x that day. Wednesday, I woke up without chills, a temperature of 99.4, and ate a little something. I still feel achy and hope to feel better tomorrow. I’m rethinking taking this medication ever again. Very painful side effects."

"I had my first fusion/drip on the 31st of May 2022, as I couldn't tolerate Fosavance. By 1st of June 2022, a few hours after Aclasta was administered, I felt like all the bones in my whole body were attacked. I was crippled by this pain. As the pain was so debilitating, I landed up in the hospital for about 3 weeks during June for pain control. I was on a daily drip. I'm still not right. I am due to see a pain specialist. I feel there are too many pain signals going to the brain. My pain meds aren't helping. I take a sleeping tablet, but I'm awake most of the night. So I am sleep deprived and in constant pain, it's a nightmare. This pharmaceutical should be accountable for the pain and suffering endured."

"I have Osteogenesis Imperfecta. After getting Aredia for years and not seeing much improvement (maybe it prevented deterioration), I received Aclasta for 2 years and my bone density went from very fragile to just below average. That was 2 years ago. No side effects and no deterioration as of yet. I'm very happy to be repaired."

"Received 1st dose on Monday at 9:30 a.m. Felt okay, a bit tired in the afternoon. However, at around 9:00 p.m., pains in my sternum started. I took Panadol as advised, went to bed. By midnight, I was shivering and shaking and ached all over, then intense pain set in, in my sternum and left breast and arm. I could hardly breathe and seated, coughing. Temperature rose to 40 and severe sweats. More Panadol, which did nothing. Pain worsened and could hardly walk. In the morning, I phoned the lady who administered Aclasta, who said it was all normal and could subside in a day or two. Phoned my doctor, who sent me straight to the hospital, where I spent the next 12 hours on pain relief, a drip, and tests for suspected blood clots, thankfully none. I was kept until my temperature dropped and my blood pressure (190/98) returned to its usual 130/75. Day 3, sternum pain has lessened to bearable, right arm still very painful, as is my back. Very tired and nauseous. I wish I had read these reviews."

"I had the Reclast infusion on April 4th, and 12 hours later I had severe chills (shaking so bad I couldn't close my mouth to take my temp) and fever. Lasted for 6 hours. Then I was sick to my stomach for the next day with severe pain in my legs (hard to get up from a chair) and my hands (hurt to write). Then I started with a 'cold' sinus/bronchial infection, which sent me to urgent care for an inhaler and cough medicine. Back to the doctor after 5 days for antibiotics, and I'm still sick one month later. Now jaw pain on the left side, and my teeth hurt. I will NEVER take Reclast EVER again. I hope you won't either!!!"

"I had a 15-minute infusion 5 days ago. For about 16 hours, I felt fine. The following afternoon, I began to feel a headache, tiredness, and generally felt ill. Tried sleeping it off. The next afternoon, my chest felt sore, I had severe pain, like indigestion, for most of the night. Day three, my joints have swollen and I have arthritic symptoms, my wrists are extremely painful, it hurts to even press the toilet button. I still have headaches. I regret having Aclasta. I am not prepared to recommend it at this stage."

"Had my infusion yesterday. I drank a few glasses of water in the morning and took an ibuprofen during the treatment. I had expected the '3 days of flu-like symptoms' and even scheduled sick time to be prepared. Zero side-effects, no aches or pains, nothing...but still taking the time off so I can have fun. My stats: 50, 100#, just finished 2 years of Forteo, I take 1200mg Calcium a day plus an Rx Vitamin D each month."

"Female, 78 years young! First Reclast infusion in July 2020, no one told me to drink extra water prior to infusion. While still at the center, I started getting a bad stomach ache, which lasted 3 days. It was BAD, the first 18 hours unbearable - Dexa score 2018 -2.5, 2019 -2.9, July -3.2 - I've taken 1,200 Calc with D3 for years, also Magnesium daily, eat well, osteoarthritis and porosis in feet really bad, fingers and hips - feeling fine now, no other side effects noted."

"After being reassured by 2 physicians, one an MD, another oncologist: that this option for infusion would offset any negative side effects for the benefit I would receive. Couldn't have been more untrue in my case. After infusion, bedridden for 3 days with limited movement due to extremely painful joints. Been 8 days now, and I'm just now getting back on my feet but weak. Please get multiple opinions from all before considering this medication. Never again."

"55-year-old with osteoporosis (genetic predisposition as well as early menopause). Had my first infusion yesterday. Did prep with lots of water and Tylenol (hence up peeing throughout the night). Today I am sore, stiff, have a headache, and fatigued. But all manageable with Tylenol and Advil (taken 2 hours apart). Deep breaths hurt and took an almost 3-hour nap today (at least during the pandemic I don’t have to work)."

"Feb 7th update. I did my original post on Jan 30 under the same name, about having the Reclast infusion on Jan. 27, 2020. Just so you know how long the side effects for Reclast last, I am still having pain in my legs, blurred vision, some nausea, and headache, but able to get up and down the stairs now, eating a little bit better. Starting to feel a little better."

"Had my first infusion Nov 15, 2019. I started getting the flu-like symptoms about 8 hours later. Thought it was the end of me. I shook for 2 days with chills. Couldn’t pick my arm up to get the Tylenol off my nightstand. 5 hours later, I finally got them and every blanket I owned. It hurt so much. Then started with throwing up and diarrhea. It’s been 4 days, and I’m still in bed, beyond tired. Not sure how to rate the medicine because it hasn’t started to work yet. But the side effects are really bad. Make sure you have lots of water, Gatorade, and Tylenol or pain meds, you’ll need them."

"I have been in pain for over 6 months after Reclast. Picking up a tiny cup of water sends pain to my back. I am okay if resting. Pain in all joints and bones. I am 82. Never a bit of pain prior to this infusion. I have never fallen as an adult. I was never told by my doctor to drink water a day prior. I would like to join a lawsuit if there is one."
