Ziprasidone "Geodon stopped all but one voice. I’m no longer angry or confused. It took a month of taking it with food to get rid of my delusions. I have a lot of side effects from it though - I can’t take naps or sleep in, I don’t smile or laugh a lot, I have sexual side effects, missed periods, no appetite, my vision got worse, I have bad dreams sometimes, I’m bored all of the time, I can’t read a book, many times I fall asleep an hour and a half after taking my evening dose, but NO weight gain. From what I’ve seen, this is the only antipsychotic that doesn’t cause weight gain. It’s why I’m still on it. My doctor lowered my dose to help the side effects. I used to be on 20 mg in the morning and 100 mg at night. Now I’m on 20 mg in the morning and 80 mg in the evening, so side effects would be less. So far the side effects are still the same. At 80 mg in the evening only I have less side effects, but I have to take the 20 mg in the morning or I start having symptoms."
