Triamcinolone "If this steroid didn’t exist, I’d be completely messed up. My basal joint is swollen and feels like ground glass until I get my next shot... after that, it’s calm and I can grip again. Don't even get me started on what it does for trochanteric bursitis and facet joints. If it wasn't for Kenalog... I'd have no purpose and no use for this world."

Triamcinolone "I have been getting Kenalog injections for years. I’ve had them in my shoulders, cervical spine, lumbar spine, knees, and even my toe. I have experienced everything from a few weeks of relief to my more normal 3-4 months of relief. I have never experienced any side effects except temporary soreness at the point of the injection. Everyone’s body reacts differently to treatments, but I have had very good luck with the injections and will continue to get them as needed. I hope your experience with Kenalog is as good as mine."

Triamcinolone "Issue is osteoarthritis of the knee and a partially torn meniscus. Had GenVisc850 injections (5 over 5 weeks as required), but still had knee pain, so doctor prescribed a Zilretta injection. Within 1 day, my knee pain became a lot worse, then for about 2 weeks the pain subsided some, so I thought the Zilretta was finally working. The relief was short-term and the pain increased to the point where it was difficult to put any weight on my leg. Now, 6 weeks after the Zilretta injection, I am scheduled for surgery."

Triamcinolone "I have bone-on-bone and bone spurs, and it did not work for me. Yet it’s been 10 days, and it’s really swollen, and now there’s crunching. It was very painful afterwards, and it didn’t hurt at all getting it, but now awful pain and a horrendous runny nose. I am definitely regretting getting it."

Triamcinolone "I have partial replacements in both knees, and they are both bad again. I got the Zilretta shot a week ago and had great pain relief at first, but on day 7, started increasing pain. Not sure if this is gonna work. Trying to buy time before total replacements."

Triamcinolone "I have suffered for 4 years with OA, and the last year was awful. I have tried everything, and eventually, all the doctors told me was to lose weight, and I was not going to do it by exercise. I needed a knee replacement and was too young. In March, I finally found a wonderful doctor who listens and came up with a plan. I had the Zilretta injections in both knees on the 29th of March, and it has changed my life. I can actually do things and not be in excruciating pain. Ten weeks in, and I'm getting minimal pain back, so I'm hopeful that when I need another injection, it continues to work. I will forever be grateful to my doctor for introducing this to me."

Triamcinolone "My doctor gave me Zilretta almost 7-8 months ago. I have osteoarthritis, my left knee is almost bone-on-bone. My doctor and Zilretta saved me from hell on earth. I thought that this medication must be a quick fix, no side effects, no icing the knee every 4 hours a day. But Zilretta is a force to be reckoned with, once injected in the knee, it goes where it's supposed to be. That's the power of Zilretta. God bless the mind and hands that created this miracle drug for people like me. I just got my second injection as I told you 7 or 8 months ago, and I am feeling relief. Since 11 am, it is now 6:15 pm, and I could walk at least 3 blocks. Zilretta is fast and to the point, no fuss, no muss, and I am a great-grandma, my great-granddaughter is in her first year of high school. She called me about an hour ago, asking how does your knee and you feel? Like a champ, she stated Zilretta again."

"After Aristospan injections to both knees for an osteoarthritis flare-up, I had almost complete pain relief for at least 6 months. Far better than other steroid injections. 40 mgs/knee. No discernible side effects."

Triamcinolone "I suddenly developed horrible knee pain in my left knee (arthritis and meniscus pain). It became so bad that I was told surgery was probably the answer. I couldn't take the time due to my husband going in for major heart surgery. The doctor gave me this injection and said it should last 6 months to maybe a year. It has been over three years, and my left knee is still pain-free!! I have another doctor, and they have been trying to treat my right knee for over a year. The shots they have been trying are not working. I thought they were the same shot as this one, but I found out it isn't. Hopefully, now I can get the same relief as I got with my left knee. I haven't slept a full night for nearly 9 months due to pain in the night. I don't understand why this new doctor didn't try it. Miss my old doctor!!"

Triamcinolone "I have bilateral knee pain, and I got bilateral Zilretta injection. I really wish I hadn't. There was no pain in the left knee one week and right knee for three weeks. Pain came back in spades, couldn't bear down on the left knee, and then it cleared up. Next, right knee excruciating pain, can't bear down or walk. I went to the emergency room. Pain pills helped for a little while. I was sent to pain management. Nothing is helping. I'm in pain as I text, even when taking Oxycodone."

Triamcinolone "My doctor injected my knee with Kenalog-40, OMG! It worked amazingly, literally no pain in my knee for two months. However, on day nine, I developed an allergic eczema rash on my belly (lower and upper), both legs (mid-thigh and lower), front and back. It's very itchy. I had the injection on 8/23/23, and as of today (11/15/23), it's still there. Nothing else has changed in my life - food, meds, etc. My eosinophil count has increased two months in a row, so my body is definitely still fighting it. I've had other joint injections with no reaction at all."

Triamcinolone "I have been having knee pain for a long time and had cortisone injections several times. The injection helped for a while, but the pain would return. This time the pain was intense, and it was too soon for another cortisone injection. My rheumatologist suggested Zilretta. I had the injection last Thursday after fluid removal. Today is Tuesday. I have been pain free, able to walk and bend my knee since Tuesday! We will see how it goes, but for now, I am very happy he recommended Zilretta."

Triamcinolone "I'm 79, I have arthritis under both patellas. Zilretta is a great product. Both knees have been treated 4 times. Treatments lasted only 2 months. (I tried exercise and no exercise.) I was asked if I wanted to try Hymovis or Eflexa. I checked the product reviews, and I'll stay with Zilretta. I have no stiffness, swelling, or other complications."

Triamcinolone "I have cerebral palsy, which includes the secondary condition of osteoarthritis. Kenalog is the best steroid that I have tried; I get it in injection form - the injection does not affect my blood pressure, so it is safe in my case since I have hypertension. It is a shame that I can only receive the shots 2x/year. If there were an option to have them once a month without a chance of joint destruction, I would opt to get them without a second thought!"

Triamcinolone "Zilretta has been like a 'magic elixir' for my knees. Since I had the original injections in both knees in March 2021, they have been virtually pain-free from any arthritis. I've been able to do things (like squat) that I haven't been able to do for years. I couldn't have a higher recommendation for the treatment in spite of its cost."

Triamcinolone "I received the Zilretta injection in both of my knees for stage 4 osteoarthritis. It took about a week to start noticing improvement. While it didn't completely eliminate the pain, it helped quite a bit with the stiffness and made going up and down the stairs much easier. It lasted 2 months and 1 week for me, and the wearing off was pretty immediate. I wish it would have lasted longer, but it got me through the holiday season plus a month. I am hoping to be able to get it again."

Triamcinolone "On my 4th go-round with Zilretta in 1.5 years. First year lasted nearly 5 months, not the last time. Only 3 months at best. This is the first time the pain has not totally gone away a few days after the injection. Still feel a pinch on the inside of the knee when getting up. While it was an 8 the last few times, I now think it’s only a 5-6 positive. In the past could dance and take low impact a week later. Not this time. It may be a medication that loses effectiveness after multiple shots."

Triamcinolone "I am an active 80-year-old woman. I had shooting pain in my right knee, particularly at night. I had not gotten an uninterrupted night's sleep in two years. Had cortisone injections, relief only lasting about 7 days. Saw a documentary on TV about Zilretta injections not being approved by insurance companies. Checked Medicare. Approved! Found only practice within 50 miles offering injection was my orthopedic surgeon. Just had second injection (3-month interval). Like a miracle. Immediately relieved pain in knee and other places too! Lasted nearly 2 months and began to wear off gradually. Doctor suggested postponing hip replacement due to great relief from arthritis in that joint too. Have told everyone about this new drug, which is not a cortisone. Side effects include fatigue for about a week and some weight gain. My insurance, AARP United Healthcare Plan F, pays 20% not covered by Medicare."

Triamcinolone "My knee doctor recommended Zilretta, so I had it injected in my right knee. It felt great at first, but then 4 weeks to the day, the pain came back. Making another appointment on Monday to see what's next. I guess each person has a different effect. Worked great while it lasted."

Triamcinolone "I have been getting steroid injections in both knees since 2010. My doctor discussed trying this drug due to my diabetes because it is supposed to not raise blood sugar numbers after the injections like other steroids do. But, leave it to me to be different, I received my injections last Thursday, and my blood sugar numbers have been on the upside of 300 since last Friday. So, I guess this medication is a no for me."

May have been used in foot and finger again with indefinite length of fix. Kenalog now used in other shoulder, long term TBD."

"I received an injection into my finger knuckle the first time I experienced debilitating osteoarthritis. Within 24 hours, the swelling was almost completely reduced, and my use of hands was back to normal for about 6 months. I am hoping a second treatment will be just as helpful. Also, I am finding the same problems in my other hand now."

Triamcinolone "I am a 55-year-old woman who took this Kenalog-40 injection for knee sprain due to osteoarthritis. No substantial pain relief. Had to use balm for pain relief. Not as effective as cortisone. Still waiting for complete pain recovery/cure."
