Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So far, so good. Rarely get hungry and can't eat too much. Side effects: Heartburn, reflux, constipation, hair loss. I will have to weigh myself in the morning, but I am guessing I am down about 8 lbs. in 5 weeks. Just started on the 5 ml. No exercise yet. Wine and alcohol will definitely slow down the progress. Not a lot of cravings for junk. Every now and then I want something fried, but it will have you on the crapper by the next morning! Stay away from greasy food on this! And YES, the needle DOES hurt to me!"

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I am a Type-2 diabetic. I have been on Mounjaro for several months. It is controlling my blood sugar great, and I have lost some weight. My biggest problem with the Mounjaro is the fact that I cannot get it because of unavailability. I don't understand how people who want to lose weight take priority over people with a medical condition. The people with diabetes need this medication and are not able to get their prescriptions filled because the people who want to lose weight are hoarding this medication. I also want to lose weight, however, the control of my blood sugars is a priority to me. I cannot control my blood sugars without my medication. Something needs to be done so that diabetics can control the disease. Obesity is not a disease, but diabetes is. Mounjaro is a great medication for type-2 diabetics for controlling their blood sugar. Availability for diabetics should be a priority."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I’m type 2 diabetic and was on Ozempic for quite sometime and having difficulty getting my med. My doctor changed me to Mounjaro for my diabetes thinking I would be able to get my meds. I started on the 5mg since I had been on Ozempic. My side effects were typical slight nausea. I was trying to get my 2nd month filled and the issues started with availability AGAIN. The 5mg and 7.5mg were on backorder. He increased my dose to 10mg. I have experienced sulfur burps but that is about it. I have not seen much weight loss but then again I’m more concerned about my diabetes. Shame on the drug companies for dangling a med that works to lower A1C and cholesterol and choosing to utilize it for weight loss where the insurance won’t cover it. I’m not using this med for vanity it’s for my chronic disease."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I am a 6'2", 46-year-old male who started his journey at 305 lbs. My doctor prescribed me Mounjaro 10.0 in Jan. of 2023. In Dec. of 2023, I went to level 12.5. Mounjaro, along with a balanced diet and exercising 4-5 days a week, changed my life for the better. I went from a 'Living to Eat' person to an 'Eating to Live' person. Mounjaro helps me mentally and physically. After I eat, I feel fuller longer, and I don't get food cravings. It's amazing!! I went from 305 lbs to 238 lbs. That is 67 lbs in 13-14 months. I am off all insulin. I stopped snoring at night. I am participating in 5K races. Achieving goals and having fun! Team Gavin, I treat my body like a football team - Offense - gym four to five days a week, Defense - portion control, Special Teams - Mounjaro injections once a week. I don't think I could be doing this well without all three. The journey continues for me, and I hope after you read this, it begins with you. Good luck!"

Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started using Zepbound in March 2024, at 2.5 mg. History of Obesity (BMI > 29) and Hypertension. Starting weight was 202 lb. and Blood Pressure Avg. of 153/90. As of today, May 24, 2024, currently on 10mg. My weight is currently 177 lb, having lost 25 lbs (12%) of starting weight. It was easy to learn how to use the injection pen, and it is a painless process. I am also exercising, running 4-5 days per week and weight training 2 days per week. Exercise is an important adjunct to weight loss treatment, and can help maintain muscle mass while losing weight. It is also imperative to eat foods rich in protein and green, leafy vegetables. Side effects have been minimal, with occasional constipation, which is remedied by using Miralax or similar products."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I started Mounjaro to help control my blood sugar. I had tried Ozempic and Trulicity and could not tolerate the nausea, sulfur burps and stomach issues. Mounjaro has been life changing. No bad side effects. I’m not hungry, I don’t have cravings, I’m losing weight steadily, and sweet desserts taste too sweet. Many people say they’ve had bad side effects with it. I say try it as it may work for you. Just like I couldn’t use other meds that other people love. For me it has been life altering."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I started taking Mounjaro 9/1. This resulted in the very worst month of my life. WEEK ONE - Super Nauseous, indigestion, stomach pain 3-4 days of the first week. My appetite went from a 10 to a 2. (Which was good) WEEK TWO - I had diarrhea for 3-4 days, along with sulfur belches, nausea, stomach pain...I ended up having to take sick days and going to get an IV bag to recover from the dehydration. WEEK THREE - World class nausea and vomiting. 3 days of vomiting so hard that I ruptured my esophagus. The entire month, if I was not having diarrhea I was VERY constipated. I lost 9 lbs in one month, but I don't know if it was because I could barely eat because of the sickness. PASS!!"

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was on Mounjaro for 3 months for weight loss, starting weight 180 lbs. I Increased to the next dosage every month. I had minimal side effects besides constipation and lost a total of 28 lbs. I did not wing off the medication and everything went fine, did blood work last week and everything was perfect compared to the year before. My weight has been steady thanks to the healthy habits I built during the medication."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Ten days on Zepbound. Love this medication. The energy it gives you is amazing. 1st day injection in thigh developed bruise and slight nausea and headache. But no biggie. 2nd shot belly super easy. Takes away urge to eat. No more stomach grumbling when hungry either. I have a protein shake in the morning, mid-morning protein bar, little bites throughout the morning. Small lunch and salmon or chicken for dinner. Veggies and fruit are important. No issue with bathroom. I take a fiber gummy and multivitamin daily. Treadmill and gym. After showering, I've been using lots of lotion on skin, massaging in. You'll be fine. Smart choices in foods. Yogurt gave me nausea as did tuna with mayonnaise. 6 lbs so far."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Zepbound for 6 weeks. (4 weeks 2.5) (2 weeks at 5.0) I have lost 23 lbs. 307-284 I ride bike/treadmill and lift weights. I eat 2300 calories a day. If I happen to eat too much, I don't seem to notice. But what I do notice is I don't crave food like before. Before, I used to still be hungry after dinner. Not anymore. That part of my brain that was ravenous for more is gone."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I am 6ft and started at 213lbs. Blood sugars were a little elevated and I could see they were headed in the wrong direction. I also have severe sleep apnea. I started @7.5 and just finished my fourth week. This drug is amazing. I’m down 24 lbs in 28 days. Lost 4 lbs last week. Current weight is 189lb. Goal is 175lb. I check my blood sugar 2 or 3 times a day. My highest reading was 101 about an hour after eating. Most readings in the low 80s which is perfect. I couldn’t have asked for more from this drug. Side effects are constipation (drink lots of water) and tired the day after the shot. I’ve been slightly overweight my entire life. I hope to lose this weight and then see if the sleep apnea goes away. Life changing."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "5’ 8” and 272 was my starting stats. I did four weeks of 2.5 then went up to 5.0. I am only on my 6th week (4 2.5s and 2 5.0s) and I have already lost 30 pounds. Now, at 242, I am looking to take off another 30-50 pounds. I am trying to be put on a list to have a transplant and have to lose a certain amount of weight to make the list. I give the medication a 100% A+. If you need to drop weight, this is a great medication. Side effects: Constipation. Drink as much water as you can and be prepared to take laxatives to poo. I’m talking rock pebbles harder than pleasing a Gold-digger on a date; you’ll definitely have to take some laxatives to poo. I suggest flavoring your water. It helps. Candy: You will crave sugary candy like Gobstoppers, Sour Patch Kids, Skittles; pretty much anything you can get your hands on. Try dark chocolate almonds and just small nibbles of candy when you get really, really sleepy. Bottom line: It works! It's worth the hard rock poo."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am just starting this process. It has been 2 1/2 weeks on 2.5 ml. I have lost 9 lbs. I'm 55 years old, 5'7", 182 starting weight. Menopause kicked my butt; I could never lose more than 5 lbs. Negative side effects: headaches (which I've been prone to or sensitive to in the past), sometimes several times a day. I had mild diarrhea the first week and am now one week in with constipation. Mounjaro seemed to reduce my internal stomach size enormously. I don't have to remind myself to eat, like other people have said, but my body is on a delay and feels full 90 percent of the time - like I don't wake up ready for breakfast; it takes two hours to want to eat. What I do eat is a fraction of what I used to eat. For example, a small soup is plenty for lunch, yogurt for breakfast. It's definitely working for me, very happy. Good luck to everyone trying this:)"

Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I originally started the Zepbound shot at the end of this past January. I weighed a total of 202 lbs when I started it. That would be about 3-4 months ago. I was very self-conscious, I didn't want to take any pictures of myself, I felt disgusted by myself, I always brought myself down, etc. But now, now I weigh 154 lbs. I'm at the 10 mg of the Zepbound. I started off as the lowest and I'm still not at the highest, to be honest. I lost about 50 pounds in the last 4 months! I researched it and it'll take 16 months to lose about 50 pounds for a normal person who doesn't take anything. And I did it in 4 months with that shot! I never thought I would get to this weight, to be honest. In the beginning, I was going to the YMCA to work out every week to put in the extra work, etc. At first, I started losing like a pound a day, not even kidding, sometimes 2 lbs a day. Then it went to a pound every couple days, and it would vary."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "Be careful when deciding to take this medication. I advise you to speak first with your doctor and if you could find another way to lose weight you should decide to go with something else. The side effects for some people are almost unbearable. I was 100% healthy before taking this. Now my blood sugar levels are low I can not wait for this to leave my system. It’s hard to work out I feel awful. Ever since I stopped taking it since my sugar levels are low I have to eat more sugar and it’s hard to eat. I feel nauseous and it’s so hard to start the day feeling like this. Please beware I know of people that are not even eating while taking this because they lost their appetite and they have to blend their food because it won’t go down. The side effects at the beginning for many people are really awful. If you have to work and be productive don’t take this medicine you will regret it."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been diabetic and overweight for 20 or more years, along with several health issues and various medications. Thank God for my doctor and Mounjaro. I started at 2.5 and 204 lbs in March, with few side effects. It is easy to use. I am now on 5.0 and 64 lbs lighter, and my A1c is at 5.7. I can breathe better and go for walks more. I crave no sugar or carbs. I was miserable with no hope in sight. I will be going on the 7.5 with hopefully no side effects. Thank you Mounjaro and my doctor for giving me my life back."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm on month three. My doctor thinks I might be too sensitive to it and may have to stop soon. Extreme nausea, occasional vomiting, and sulfur burps followed by diarrhea, weakness, and lethargy. The pros: in three months I've gone from 262 lbs to 239 lbs."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Mounjaro for just two weeks. I've lost 5 pounds without trying. While that's nice, I am posting a very early review to let other newbies know that other than some indigestion the first two days I haven't had any side effects. I had major constipation on Ozempic. I find taking a : daily stool softener, stay hydrated, take a Metamucil tablet daily, and take a daily prebiotic (get the refrigerated one in your pharmacy as it has live cultures. Keep it refrigerated!) I'm on 5mg, but, moving up to 7.5 next week. Will go to 10mg if no supply of 7.5. My pharmacist said to get my order for the 7.5mg in at least 7 days early so they can get it in on time. They don't stock it, but, get it on overnight. Just FYI, after using Ozempic and Mounjaro, I weigh less than I did 10 years ago. I've gone down 4 sizes. 4 inches off my waist since Christmas! Now a petite XL rapidly headed to petite L."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was over 210 lbs and miserable. I am only 5'4". I started first with a Dr. sample of the other one, which didn't work very well for me. I switched to Mounjaro, especially since I needed a total knee replacement. Mounjaro worked very well for me by decreasing my appetite and my penchant for candy. I am now 148 lbs and have one new knee! I am getting ready for the next knee surgery and using Zepbound to maintain my over 60 lbs weight loss. I had very little negative symptoms, mostly feeling 'hungry' which has a negative connotation, but is necessary to actually lose weight. I am 69 years old. I just wish it was covered by MC, as the price is not sustainable for me."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 5'2", 41 years old, started taking the shot in November of 2023. Weighed in at 293, cried all the way home. Within a week lost 16 pounds. Here I am, almost a complete 4 months later, and down 72 pounds. Best thing I have ever done. No more snoring or waking up all hours of the night, and I have so much more energy. Yes, I have some constipation, but it is a small price to pay to feel so much better! Next month I will be on the highest dose. So, from here on out, it's up to me to keep it moving with healthy activity and diet."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I just wanted to give an update on my success on Mounjaro. I've been on it for 18 months. I continue to lose weight slowly. No problem with the shot. I've lost a total of 118 pounds. I went from a size 22 to a size 2. I do Weight Watchers app online for the accountability. And walk 5-8 miles a day. My doctor thinks I should be her spokesperson in her office for the new patients going on it to give them the motivation. But can't with HIPAA. I'm okay with her giving them my name and everything but she can't. It's funny when I'm out in public and people are not sure if it's me or not. But it sure makes me feel good. I just know when people do ask how I've lost weight and I tell them. I say with diet, exercise, and I have diabetes. I also take Mounjaro but it's not a miracle drug."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "It’s been 2 years. Yes, there were challenges. Some nausea. Lot’s of constipation. Some fatigue. And mostly good aversion. I understand fully the phrase eat to live. This medication was/is a game changer for long-time diabetes sufferers. I lost 50 pounds. Got off of insulin shots. Cholesterol meds. BP meds. I am over 60 years old and feel better than I did at 40. I would rate my experience on Mounjaro on a scale from 1-10, a solid 10. Everyone’s journey is unique, based on many different factors. I would rate my journey as successful."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "Holy side effects. First, if you eat when you take it, it just sits in your stomach and you’ll be burping it for 12 hours. The headache is insane. Starts immediately. Then you are hit with 3 days of nausea, fatigue and just overall fatigue. Just when you start to feel better, cue the insane heartburn ! It took me 5 days to feel normal again. I’ll pass on this even though I lost 5 pounds the first week."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) "Started with 2.5, been on it nearly three weeks, anticipated side effects but other than mild constipation, I experienced none. My appetite was nonexistent, had to remember to eat. Night eating gone, overeating gone, strong cravings gone. Injection easy peasy. Coupon only way I could afford this med (25/mo versus over 1k/mo). No feeling weird like stimulants, just pretty normal. I'm pairing with intermittent fasting per my GP and trying to incorporate intuitive eating as much as possible. I am not counting calories or weighing myself but I am likely down 5-10# in 2 weeks combo of water weight and loss. Bloat gone, body feels good, excited to see if this keeps working this well."
