Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "It was my first time having a YI this week. So I bought Monistat Day 1 and used it last night before bed. I read the reviews about how it burned and itched for hours, but I didn't have that experience, lucky for me. When I woke up the next morning, not only was my YI not treated, my entire 'area' was swollen and in a little pain if I touched it. It hurt to walk, but I made it to the doctor's as soon as I got up, and my doctor diagnosed me with a YI and prescribed me 'fluconazole.' I'm hoping it works better than Monistat did, but I will never use that product again. And my biggest advice to anyone out there who has a YI: you should go to your doctor instead of trying to cure it yourself. Or use anything BESIDES MONISTAT!!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Bought this after feeling a sudden worsening of itchiness that I had had for two days. I have had yeast infections before and was 90% sure this was one. Right before work was when the symptoms worsened, so I opted for Monistat 1 day prefilled applicator. I knew the product would leak throughout my shift, but the pros of relief outweighed the cons of discomfort. About ten minutes after using the product (which was easy), I felt burning like nothing I've ever felt before! I managed to get through my shift, but it hurt to walk, to sit, to pee, to scratch... I had wished I'd never taken the product. When I got home, I used a mirror to get a look at my vagina because it felt swollen. Before I had used the product, my vagina had been red/irritated, but not swollen. It's now so swollen I want to cry! This is my current state. I'm trying so hard NOT to freak out, but I might have to go to urgent care in the morning! This is scary!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "For the love of God, do NOT use this!!! I am traumatized! Horrific experience. Followed directions exactly, put in the cream at bedtime, which was about 10 PM. Woke up a little after 3 AM due to severe burning, itching, swelling, and pain. IT WOKE ME UP FROM A DEEP SLEEP. Felt like I had put lava in my vagina after scrubbing it with a Brillo pad. Swollen shut, 2x its regular size at least. Tried rinsing & washing, Benadryl by mouth, & an ice pack to the vag for 5 hours. I thought I was allergic until I read so many others' reviews. This could be used as a very effective form of torture. I'm a registered nurse, & I feel this should be yanked off the counter due to its severe side effects. I'm scarred for life. NEVER AGAIN."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "HORRIBLE! Stay away! I had a mild yeast infection, took the 1-day med, and as soon as I inserted the medicine in, the burning began!!!! The burning lasted for three days, went to the doctor, and had chemical burns and swelling!! Never again! Save yourself and your vagina, just call the doctor and get the pill! I wish I could give this a negative ten!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not use! Currently writing this at 2 am in my bathtub, praying to God. My vagina feels like what I imagine hell does. I have tried putting ice on it. No help. Hopefully, this Advil kicks in soon. Almost went to the hospital. And as I looked in the mirror, I literally saw a swollen bouncy house closing in. It’s on fire, swollen, burning, itchy. I can’t even walk."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I felt a small yeast infection coming on, so I decided to use the 1-day, and it’s the worst decision ever. My vagina feels like hell gates have opened. It only made everything worse. I’m so swollen down there I’m scared to look, and the itching is ridiculous. Try at your own risk."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "You are gonna need to pray to someone if you used this product. I experienced burning at insertion but was able to fall asleep, only to wake up at 4 a.m. with extreme itching and what felt like fire ants in my crotch. I went to try and wipe it out and discovered my vulva is swollen and red. I’m not even sure what to do right now as I'm in a hotel with no ice packs or ibuprofen and it's 6 a.m. THIS PRODUCT WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE SUCK. DON’T USE IT."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This stuff is horrible. I was looking for Monistat, but unfortunately, the store had run out. I got this instead, inserted the medication into my vagina, and laid down. I woke up in the middle of the night with horrible itching and burning. I ignored it the best I could and went back to bed after it eased a little. I just woke up, and the opening and surrounding area to my vagina is swollen sooooooo bad. I sat up and could literally just feel how swollen it was. I had el hubby check everything out down there. He said it is swollen really bad. The worst part, and I have never had an STD, still don’t as I have only been with the same partner for three years. My vagina literally smells like... chemical? Chemical burn maybe! I’m not sure. It smells like someone dumped a bottle of chemicals into my vagina. It most definitely isn’t any kind of 'natural smell.' This smell literally just smells like straight-up chemicals! Do not use this product!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "OK, so I'm a 21-year-old virgin, and I won't lie, I've never been to the gyne to get a YI diagnosis. I just asked my mom. I described the symptoms; she said it was just a YI, so I said I think I'll just buy a Monistat. Never really knew much about this product, so I just grabbed the first one I saw that said 1-day treatment. I thought, sweet, bye-bye YI. Well, I put it in around 7:30 and took a short nap before my night shift at 10. As I was headed to work, I noticed a burning sensation. Then I went to the bathroom, and OMG, after I peed and wiped, it was hellfire on my poor virgin vag. Have no idea how to get this liquid fire out of me. I discharged a huge bunch of it after that; it ebbed a bit, not much though, still hot, sore, and swollen.); I hope I didn't break my V."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oookay, they definitely changed this product because the first time I got this, it worked fine! My second time using it, I feel like the gates of hell moved into my poor va-jay-jay. I got a yeast infection from a 7-mile obstacle course that I ran. My underwear was caked in mud, swamp water, and sweat, which I wore for about 3 hours throughout the event. Bad decision. But taking this is an even worse decision! I'm so raw, tender, swollen, irritated, and itchy down there. It hurts so bad from how raw and sore it is. I have to change my panty liner every hour because there's so much white discharge. I freaked out and called my doctor, who said it's the medicine working and flushing my system out. Ughhh, I really wish I would've taken a pill."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg. That's all I was saying for a few hours straight. Before use, my vagina was just feeling off. 10 minutes after applying Monistat 1, my vagina was inflamed and itching like CRAZY! I've used the product before, and it worked well, but that time it was an egg that I inserted at night. This time it was a gel-like substance. Needless to say, I wish I had read the reviews so I could've fully understood what I'm going through right now, but hopefully I'll wake up in the morning feeling 10 times better like a lot of these women, if I can make it to bed. Hope this helps someone!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I usually use the Monistat 3-day ovules and experience fast, painless relief. One time, when I didn’t feel like doing all that for 3 days straight, I tried the Monistat 1-day ovule (miconazole 1200 mg), and OH MY GOD. NO. Swollen, swollen, swollen to the point where I could barely walk. So this time around, and after some research, I decided to use the other antifungal, Tioconazole! I was nervous to do the 1-day, but I noticed the dosage was mild, which to me meant different ingredients, same result with less drama. AMEN. I’ve been feeling a tingling/burning sensation inside my vagina, but it’s nothing unbearable. Like on a scale of 1-10 for discomfort, 1. I showered with just hot water before inserting the medicine, and I have on panties with a liner. So far, it’s been about 2 hours, and all is good."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used this cream, and let me tell you, WORST DECISION I’VE MADE! I inserted the applicator, and no less than 30 minutes in, it felt like the medication only fueled the yeast infection. My lady parts were swollen and itching worse than it was before I even used the product. Monistat is waaaaaay better, in my opinion. This product just didn’t do it for me at all. It may affect someone else totally opposite of my experience, but I would never use it again."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is really something for someone with a more severe yeast infection. Mine was absolutely unbearable. I was horribly swollen and irritated because of the amount of yeast. This was following a round of antibiotics for a UTI after a horrible GI infection (I was not having a very good week downstairs). If you have a milder yeast infection, go with a Monistat 7. The ovule is packed with very aggressive antifungal compounds, and unless you have an equally aggressive infection, I'd downgrade. I did use the ovule at night because of my past experience with other antifungal creams (always use them in the evening). I did wake up with dripping, but after I used the restroom several times, it helped clean out residual yeast and fungicide."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT use this! FAR too concentrated and you will BURN! I woke up in absolute throbbing pain, and I was swollen. I went to the ER, and I have a high pain tolerance. They ultimately could not do much as douching or flushing would only potentially push the cream deeper, but a warm compress, Benadryl, and ibuprofen seemed to help me. It's 24 hours after insertion now, and I'm 90% back to the way I was before I took it. Will NEVER recommend this to anyone."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Please save yourself and don’t buy this. I took this at 11 pm and it is now 5 am, and I have woken up to the worst pain I have ever experienced. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. So I came on the internet to look and see what other ladies' experiences were like, and sadly they were very much like mine. I’m in worse pain than I was before: tingling, itchy, burning, and swelling. I’m out of state and I couldn’t go to my normal primary to get this taken care of, and I’ve never had a YI before, so I was oblivious to what kind of hell was out there to treat this. It feels like I just shoved a ghost pepper inside of me, or someone said lava, or a fire-breathing dragon got stuck down there. All very accurate analogies. Someone said to take Benadryl and try to sleep it off, so I am trying that now. I’ll come back with an update in the morning."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "It was like my first YI all over again. It was painful and irritating and so annoying. My sister told me to get the one-day treatment, and so I did because I didn't think I could do it for 7 days. I couldn't even sit down, my stuff got swollen due to irritation. I inserted the treatment, and my vag felt the same burn it did as before. Just coped it down a little. I put a liner on so it would drain, and I changed it on the hour, this was like 9 pm. The next morning, it still burned and irritated me just as it did the night before. Sis said to wait, it works. Right now, I have very little irritation. I am infection prone, but the one day worked for me."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a minor candida infection and bought the Monistat 1 ovule insert. I used it right before bed because I had remembered years ago, when using it, the cream leaked out about 10 minutes after insertion. I noticed a lot more burning and itching (which the box says is normal). When I woke up the following morning, it had gotten 10 times worse! I now had burning, itching, extremely swollen cookie when before it had just been a minor irritation. Not to mention the cream leaking sporadically for several days after!! (It does say it on the box to use a pantyliner-thank goodness I did.) On the second day, it didn't get any worse or better. It was basically the same. It took 4 days to get relief from what started out to be a minor yeast infection that spiraled into a nightmare after I used the Monistat 1 day ovule. If anything, their product should not have made the infection symptoms 10 times worse for 3 consecutive days after!!! I'll never buy this rubbish product in the future."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I did see some reviews before buying that said people had gotten extreme burning, nothing about itching besides the label saying it may increase this symptom. I put the ovule ball in at 10 am and had no symptoms until 12, the itching was very uncomfortable but shortly after, about 45 minutes, it had stopped. I didn’t really get a burning feeling, just felt a little hot down there with minor swelling. Although, if you are wearing a panty liner, I do suggest changing it every hour or less just because an hour after inserting the ball, you do experience a large amount of discharge! Otherwise, if you can get past an hour of being uncomfortable, I feel like it’s worth it, considering I have no symptoms already!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I believe I may be having a reaction to the medicine. I inserted the treatment before bed. Now, almost 24 hours later, I am swollen like a cauliflower. It's awful. Way worse than the infection itself. I think taking this medication is a risk and it's definitely not worth it to find out how your body will respond. Get the 7-day or call your doctor."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I inserted the Monistat 1 egg at 11:30 pm, along with the cream on the outside. I didn't experience relief right away! I laid down and turned on a movie. About 10 minutes in, I started itching unbearably.... it started burning and tingling. I felt my heart beat deep inside my coochie. Ran to the bathroom, grabbed a washcloth and some Vagisil wash to try to wash it off. Made it worse!!! OMG! I ran and got my phone to see if I needed to rush to the ER because I'm 18 weeks pregnant and thought I was having an extreme allergic reaction. Come to find out it's normal, wish I would have read it before. Lord help us all! I don't know if it is going to do its job. I pray it will because I have a high pain threshold, I had three kids with no meds before, during, or after. And this is unbearable. Take this product at your own risk! Just know your vagina will be on fire, tingling, itching, and swollen. Mine is literally almost swollen shut. Hope this helps"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Should've read the comments first. They had it at the local grocery store. Should've gone out of my way and gone to the pharmacy. So much itching after I put the stuff in. Then when I woke up, the outside of my vagina was swollen and very tender. Don't buy this. Monistat works way better."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This product is awful! Not two minutes after applying it, I felt an intense itchy sensation that was far worse than the yeast infection itself. I was so miserable. I thought maybe they were just side effects, but upon further research, I learned that I was not the only one with this problem. I'm so scared because I read that some women had to go to Urgent Care due to the severe results this product caused, such as swelling and burning. I'm worse off than I was before."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Talk about making a molehill into a mountain. I went from a mild yeast infection to an all-out royal battle within my own vaginal walls. Take it overnight, they said... One-day treatment, they said... My vagina now burns and is swollen due to this treatment. DO NOT BUY THIS."
