Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is a TERRIBLE product! Within 30 minutes of taking it, it started leaking profusely, and that's when the real problem started. Extreme burning and itching! Everything is swollen and feels like it's on fire! I've used ice packs and am sitting in the tub hoping to wash off any exterior remnants to no avail. It's been 2 hours now, and the original yeast infection was better than this!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "WORST product I have ever used! I bought tioconazole 1-day cream (Target store brand) yesterday for a minor yeast infection and used as directed before bed. I woke up this morning and my vaginal lips are so swollen! My vagina burns, the swelling and engorgement are horribly uncomfortable, and I have a thick white discharge. I’ve been sitting on ice packs since I woke up praying and hoping for the swelling to decrease. Hopefully, the Advil I just took will help, otherwise, I’ll be headed to the doctor. NEVER USING THIS AGAIN! I will stick to the 3- or 7-day treatments!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Immediately after inserting the 'egg,' I was on fire and have been ever since. It's been several hours. I've had a shower and now I'm into ice. My vaj is swollen like a baseball and inflamed like you wouldn't believe. I'm ready to go to the ER. The cream didn't help but made everything worse."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Absolutely horrible! Had a slight burning sensation when I first inserted that evil, evil egg and the external cream, wiped the external cream off right away, and I went to lay down. About an hour later, I had to pee, immediately after, the egg inside must have burst, and I swear I felt like fire ants were all up inside my vagina. Flushed out as much as I could with warm water, feel about 50 percent better but still feel a burning sensation. My hooch is now completely inflamed, about to put an ice pack on and take a Motrin and pray I'm not going to have issues at work tomorrow. Never ever again!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I have never had a yeast infection and tried the one-day Monistat. After about 2 hours, I was miserable. It itched way worse, no burning, but I feel really swollen and chafed from it itching so much. Tried the tube of medicine, and it seemed to irritate me more. Hopefully (like most reviews), it will be done by morning. Best comfort I found was to lay on a towel and let it breathe with an ice pack on my lady parts. Also, Vagisil medicated anti-itch wipes work well. Good luck!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took Monistat 1 for my yeast infection, and reading all these comments about burning and swelling that has NOT happened whatsoever. I inserted the ovule 3 days ago, and all I've experienced is just the discharge coming out. I still have discharge from the medicine coming out, and it's thick and super white. Although it says '1-Day Treatment,' give it a full 7 days to make sure the medicine has done its job. I felt slight itches here and there, but nothing too major. This really isn't a bad product, our bodies are all different."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the generic Monistat 1 (tioconazole), and for the first few hours, it was great-no burning, and I fell asleep quickly. A few hours later, I woke up absolutely dying. It burned so much, and my vulvar lips were so swollen (HUGE!), so red and visibly irritated. I had to use an ice pack to help decrease some of the pain. I left the ointment in because I figured I already suffered this much, I might as well let it do its job. By the time I woke up, though, the swelling had gone down considerably, no more burning, and my yeast infection felt 90% better (I'm still using the topical miconazole from a previous package to help with the mild residual itch). So even though it's a few hours of literal torture and you will lose sleep, it did work well."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So... I've used the 3-day version successfully a couple of times. This time, I was lured in by the thought of just one application. About 12 hours in (on my way to a concert gig I thought would therefore be torture!), I thought, 'what the hell? It's WORSE now! Maybe it's not just yeast! Maybe I'm DYING!' But now, 6 hours later, the burning, swelling, 'full' feeling is subsiding. For me, at least, assuming I continue to feel better into tomorrow and for the next week, four hours of 'huh?' is worth ease of use and quick relief. Note: I don't keep pads around, but I wish I did, because I've changed panties from the gel oozing out of me three times today already. Still worth it."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ladies, please listen to all of the bad reviews on this product! Monistat-1 is awful! I, like the others, inserted the egg before bed and woke up 1-2 hours later with the worst burning and itching I had ever experienced down there. Took a warm shower trying to relieve the pain, nope, that didn’t help either. It is now 10:00 am the morning after, and it has subsided but still very swollen and a dull burning sensation. Never, ever will I use any Monistat product again. There is no way this product should even be legal."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Dear God. I was on a round of antibiotics, and after, I developed a yeast infection. Nothing major, but after antibiotics a yeast infection for me is common. It was this past Friday after work, and I stopped at Walgreens on the way home. Grabbed Monistat 1 Day. Worst decision I have ever made in my life. I inserted the ovule before bed, and when I laid down, I noticed that the itchiness had increased a little. I grabbed the Monistat anti-itch cream and lathered up and went to sleep. Woke up to being completely uncomfortable with burning and itching. By 5:30, I was praying for death. Completely swollen, covered in blisters, and can't pee. It's Tuesday now, and nothing has let up. Do not use Monistat 1 Day. I see no end in sight."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so I had never had a yeast infection before, but my mom had, and after I described my symptoms to her, she thought I should try Monistat. I put it in last night and was fine until an hour later. I'm a tough person, but I barely slept because of how uncomfortable it was. I woke up this morning, and it has only gotten worse throughout the day. It feels like I am on fire. I don't itch at all, though, just very swollen and burning. It better work after all of this discomfort."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Was on a strong antibiotic, purchased this because it was on sale. First mistake. Applied it at 10 pm... second mistake. Went to sleep after a bit and was awakened by intense burning and swelling at 2 am. Thought something was terribly wrong. 'Too hot, hot damn, call the police and the fireman.' Read these reviews, calmed down. Took Zyrtec, about an hour and a half later, the burning is abating some. I may live but will never use this product again."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT USE. I noticed my symptoms during a holiday weekend, so I could not go to my doctor for a prescription of Diflucan as I usually do. I bought the Monistat. This product made me feel worse after using it. My poor vagina was burning and swollen after use. I was so incredibly uncomfortable that I could not sleep at all. I woke up in the middle of the night and soaked in the bathtub with apple cider vinegar and water. I researched natural home remedies and ended up making a suppository with coconut oil and tea tree oil. It helped soothe my poor vagina from the horrible burning and discomfort caused by the Monistat. I will never use Monistat again. Ever. Never. Nope. NEVER!!! I wish I would have paid to go to urgent care instead of enduring this horrific experience. Ladies, if you love or even remotely like your vagina, DO NOT use this product. I would not recommend it to my worst enemy."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I get mild yeast infections every once in a while, and it usually lasts a few days and goes away. Well, I decided to try Monistat 1. I inserted the ovule around 9 pm and used the cream provided for just around the outside of my vagina and went to bed. I peed an hour later and went to lay down, and I started to feel this intense burning pain. My vagina was swollen, red, and the burning and itching were so painful and uncomfortable I couldn't sleep. I took a warm bath and then put ice on my vagina, trying to ease the pain. Finally, after 2 hours, I got to a point where it wasn't completely unbearable but still burned. Today, 24 hours later, it still is swollen, red, and burns worse than the actual yeast infection. Waste of money!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used the 1-day at night and woke up the next morning in pain! And itching! And was so swollen I've never seen my vagina that swollen before! Laid in bed all weekend with ice packs on my lady parts, hurts too much to get up and move around. Went to the doctor on Monday and she prescribed the pill form for YI. I've missed 2 days of work, still swollen and itching, and my crotch is still on fire. Going on day 5, this is awful. Will never, ever use the 1-day again. I have no idea how to make it through the day at work tomorrow, but I can't miss another day. Worst medicine EVER!!!! DO NOT USE!!!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have had a YI before, this one wasn’t too bad, but I knew it was there from the looks of the discharge and slight swelling and itching. I was recommended by my doctor to get Monistat, so I figured why not get the 1-day! I will NEVER recommend this to anyone. Everyone has different experiences but should be warned if you're a first-time user! I’m still very swollen, it’s been about 24 hours! Took it at 10 pm last night, Oct 1st, and woke up 2-3 hours later with intensified symptoms worse than my original! So swollen I was crying all night and couldn’t even wear pants, undies, or anything! It is now Oct 2nd, and I’m still swollen, thankfully, symptoms are calming down. If you haven’t had side effects, you got lucky. I will never recommend this... TAKE IT OFF THE SHELF!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy. Within a half hour, I was on fire and swollen. I took a bath and currently have an ice pack on. I can only hope the pain subsides soon. Do not take this product. Call your doctor and get an antibiotic. I have never experienced something like this before."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Noticed I'd had a YI for about 3 days now, so I went to get a Monistat 1-day prefilled applicator (not egg). Inserted it about 10 pm. Around 10:15 pm, felt odd cramping, but nothing like period cramps. I was just like someone light was sitting on my pelvis. That went away because I fell asleep. Got up around 7 am, and my vagina feels a little swollen. No unbearable pain, no burning, no itching. It is tender to the touch, though, so I'd guess it worked! I'm seriously glad I didn't have the experience you all did, but it is different for everyone."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I hate myself for taking this. My symptoms before were bearable prior to me taking Monistat. Just soreness and odorless, lumpy discharge. No burning or itchiness. I don't even know if I really have a YI, honestly, but it seemed like one. I took it at 12:30 a.m., at 4:00 a.m. I woke up to pee and went back to sleep for about 20 minutes and woke back up with my vagina on fire. I was so confused because I had taken Monistat years before when I was in high school for my first and only other YI, and I did not have these side effects. I've taken a long cold shower and got whatever I could out before my vagina had swelled shut. I also noticed my pelvic lymph nodes were protruding from my body. Smh. I'm angry, sad, and embarrassed about the whole situation."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve never had a problem with Monistat 3, so I figured I would try the one-day treatment. Bad mistake. After I inserted it, I went to bed and woke up feeling fine, but it starts to hurt and itch like anything after I went to the bathroom to wipe away all the excess. After that, it started getting super swollen, like a balloon. It hurt so bad, and I had to lay in bed all day with no panties or pants. The itching went away, but it was just so swollen. It was very difficult to sleep like that, not even being able to close my legs! The next morning, the swelling had gone down a little bit, but it was still pretty swollen. I’ve been laying in bed with an ice pack between my legs all day. If you’ve never used Monistat before, I strongly recommend getting the 3 or 7-day one!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got on this site just to see if Monistat 1 cured most yeast infections, and for the most part, I'm reading that it does. I used the insert last night, and I didn't experience the itching and burning that most of the reviews are talking about. I actually felt relief after inserting the ovule. I know everyone's different, but I just didn't feel the burn. I woke up this morning with some serious swelling and mild itch that seems to have already gotten better from yesterday. It's too soon to say whether the product will successfully heal the infection, but I've had good luck with it so far :) Best of luck, YIs SUCK!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "In the past, I did home care (no sugar/low carb, probiotics, eating garlic, etc., because it’s free), but I thought I’d catch this early. Twenty-four hours in, I have mild burning but less itching. Brief sinus headache, went away quickly. After a few hours, I was surprised at how sensitive my labia felt. I went to the bathroom and saw my inner labia more swollen than ever! If I’d started having worse-looking discharge/swelling, I’d go to urgency. Today is still swollen but no agony, milder yeast symptoms, no discharge. Hope I’m in the clear, will update if it takes a turn. My “new friend” picked this up, I forgot to specify the dose. Nothing stronger than 3 in the future. I might just try more home care. Even if this works, because of the swelling, I won’t be having sex any faster than if I’d starved the yeast out on my own. Sorry to everyone this drug harmed! I don’t know how long the swelling will take, good luck, folks."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I tried this a few years ago. My vagina, labia, everything swelled to ridiculous proportions. Painful, itching, burning, way worse than the yeast infection itself. Haven't used it since, never again. Horrible experience."
