Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Horrible reaction to the 3-day product after the second application. Agonizing swelling and burning. Took about 4 days for swelling and burning to subside to minimal level. Next time I'll go to the doctor and get an oral version. May work okay for some, but recommend doing a patch test first."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I purchased my Tioconazole 1 Day, and after inserting the cream, I did feel some mild itching and burning, but for me, it was tolerable. The next day, I woke up, and the itching had decreased, and so had the pain, but I did experience some swelling, but also tolerable. Although the cream has to be pretty strong since it's a 1-day application, the instructions advise waiting at most 7 days for all symptoms to clear, so I have 5 more days to hopefully be yeast infection-free. Overall, I did not experience the extreme negative effects as others and would buy again (if my funds are low and I have a yeast infection)."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT USE! About 30 seconds after inserting the Tioconazole gel, it felt like fire and crazy itching, followed by so much painful swelling. I ended up in the bathtub at 4 a.m., begging for relief. Four hours after my bath, I'm still in pain, swollen, and wondering how I'm going to get through my day when walking is almost impossible! They should not be selling this product!!!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "PLEASE DO NOT BUY IF SENSITIVE VAGINA!! I noticed more people liked it with positive results, it really depends on if you have a sensitive vagina or not. I used this product and immediately felt burning. My mom said since you have a YI it’s normal, it’s working, but no, I was having irritation to the product, and I didn’t know this because this was my first time using it. Woke up, I thought my vagina was tighter, but no, it was swollen, very swollen. I read the results, and I noticed I’m not the only one. I’m gonna try to wait it out to see if the swelling goes down before I go to the doctor, but if you're aware that you have a sensitive vagina, please do not use."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not use! The burn, like stated in other posts, was like a chemical burn. It was so bad that I had my husband rush me to the urgent care, where the doctor stated it looked like a chemical burn, and she had never seen one that bad. Not to mention it caused major swelling and open flesh. She gave me a shot to deal with the pain. It has been 5 days and just now healing to the point that it doesn't hurt as bad to walk and sit."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Burned like a blow torch for about 5 hours. Laid in bed with ice packs and cried. After 5 hours of torture and a couple of showers, it started to calm down enough for me to doze off. Awoke the next morning with it still burning and swollen. As I was trying to get ready for work, it got worse. Went to the doctor and got Diflucan. I will NEVER use Monistat EVER again. It took an annoying issue and turned it into a catastrophe. Wasted money on the product and cost me more to go to the doctor and take a day off work."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Bad experience with this product. I couldn't take the itchiness anymore, and my appointment was the next day, so I bought it hoping it would help...nope! I got worse. Now my labia and vulva are swollen. It hurts when I pee, it's hard to sit and move around. I'm just waiting for it to get better now, and hopefully, it'll go away."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "All these reviews couldn't be any more on point. I am going to email the company tomorrow to share this experience and the link with all these reviews. Talk about ruining my Valentine's Day, lol. I bought this product today, inserted it around 4:00 p.m. It is now 10:00 p.m., and I am on fire. I just took a shower to clean it all out, but it doesn't help. My vagina is so swollen, it's terrible. I took the advice to use an ice pack, and it seems to be helping a little, but the itching is driving me insane. Please don't buy this product if you haven't already."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I think my entire vagina got 1st degree burns from this medication. I inserted this egg, and within a couple of hours, I felt like I needed a hospital. It was burning, itching, and swollen. After 2 days, I had to go to the gyno. He said that was a bad choice because there are ingredients that shouldn't be in there because they are not good for the vagina. Obviously, so he gave me a cream for the swelling. The yeast infection is gone, but I still feel like I have to heal from this still, and it was 1 1/2 weeks later. Never again!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I caught my yeast infection early on, and my symptoms were mild. I thought it would be smart to nip it in the bud and use medication before it got worse! I wanted to use Monistat 1 that way I could take it during the day. It felt fine for about an hour, but after the medicine began to drain, it slowly intensified all symptoms to the point of misery! The burning and swelling are unbearable. I finally just showered and removed all of it in hopes it will calm down! Definitely not worth it!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I noticed that I had the beginnings of a yeast infection, and I wanted it gone before it could completely come to term. So a day after I first noticed the infection (the itching and burning hadn't begun yet, only clumpy discharge), I decided to take Monistat 1. I chose this medication because I had a date with sexy time scheduled for later in the week, and I didn't want my yeast infection to get in the way. I took the medication during my lunch break, and a couple of hours later I felt a warm, burning sensation. For me, the side effects were uncomfortable, but they were not unbearable. By the end of the night, the warm burning sensation was gone, but my clit felt a bit swollen. The next day I felt great and had only minor discharge."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Alright, ladies. I seriously suggest doing your research before using this product. My mother has used this product with no problems in the past, so when I got my first yeast infection this week, she had no reservations about getting this medication for me. Unfortunately, I had to go to Urgent Care two days later, due to severe swelling and pain. The doctor knew immediately that I had taken Monistat and said that it is common that this product makes the infection much worse. So I guess if you feel like flipping a coin on whether or not you want a swollen vagina, by all means, go ahead. Instead, I suggest you go to an Urgent Care center. The bill will not be ridiculous, and the prescription cost me $8 at Walmart. Best of luck."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have been sick for a few days, and on top of that, ended up getting a YI. Great. My boyfriend, being the wonderful guy he is, went to the store and got me Monistat 1. I figured, like everyone else, that it would work faster than the 3-day treatment that I used last time. I inserted the egg just before bed and slept through the night. When I woke the next morning, the pain was almost unbearable. I tried taking a bath, blasting it with the water and ice packs, but it just kept getting worse. Before bed the following day, I looked... bad idea, my vag looked like a crime scene. There are open sores, and it's very swollen, it almost looks like it was dipped in acid. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!! NOT WORTH IT!!!!!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I usually do the 3-day Monistat, but grabbed the Monistat 1-day this time. NEVER AGAIN!!! Do NOT use this product. I fully support removing this product. I'm super sick from the flu. I went to the doctor and was put on antibiotics. So I was smart and just picked up the Monistat when I picked my antibiotics. I had woken up uncomfortable and knew it was time to use the Monistat. That night, right before bed, I used said product. As soon as I used it, it started to burn. By morning, everywhere on my body it had touched, I developed chemical burns. Went straight to the ER because of the pain and swelling. I was unable to urinate or defecate because of the swelling. I was completely swollen, crack to crack, and red swelling down the inside of my legs!!!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "At first, I was skeptical because of the reviews I read... But of course, I had read the reviews, lol, after I had already inserted the medication... I was so scared to fall asleep... I literally was waiting on the horrible experiences I've read about, but thank God I didn't.... It worked great... I'm glad I bought it... Maybe you guys have had allergic reactions and didn't know.... Idc, but like I said, it worked wonders for me. No itching, no horrid burning or swelling... Just a lot of discharge, other than that, it was great."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is a really strange product, and I feel like it works but has incredibly painful side effects that are pretty worrying. I used it before bed, and it woke me up in agony. The irritation and itchiness were horrible, but when I finally fell asleep and woke up, I did feel like the itchiness related to the yeast infection had died down. The cream continued to leak, which made it extremely uncomfortable to do anything during the day, and about 15 hours after using it, I've noticed a really bad swelling, which makes it painful to walk. I only used the external cream once because it only made the irritation worse. I feel like the medication does work, but at such a high dose, it causes incredibly bad side effects."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Seconds after inserting this medication, it felt like the fire of 1,000 burning suns had crawled up inside me. To say my vag was swollen would be putting it lightly. I am currently in bed trying to sleep and praying to the labia gods to make this awful feeling go away. I wish I could give it a 0/10."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I used this product last night, and I experienced some itching and burning, but nothing too bad. I woke up this morning, and again the burning was there, but still not too bad. I have experienced some major swelling on and around the vaginal area. I’m hoping in a few days it will subside and my yeast infection will be gone."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a horrible YI brought on by a honeymoon and antibiotics. Wanted relief quickly, so I got this stuff. I had no discomfort while the product was in. I inserted and then applied the topical cream. It felt gross, but no discomfort until after... I used the cream all day today to help with itching, and tonight during my shower realized how swollen I am. I have not read any comment that stated how long the swelling lasted, but I’m hoping not long. This is definitely not the good type of swelling, and it’s extremely uncomfortable. However, if my yeast infection is gone, because honestly, I can’t tell what’s going on down there, I would suffer through this again. If I still have one in about 3 days' time, then I’m pissed... By the way, I loved reading these comments. I wish we all could talk this freely anywhere. It’s great. Thanks, ladies, and good luck."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I read a lot of scary reviews before I went out and bought the overnight anyway... Either those reviews are exaggerated extremely, or I got lucky. The burning was pretty minimal, you have to also consider the medicine is doing a job in one night instead of seven... So there will be itching and burning. It's about twenty hours into treatment, and it itches a little, but when you get a yeast infection, it causes little tiny cuts on the inside. This is why it itches and burns a bit! All in all, it seems to be doing its job, and the pain is not horrendous (for me anyway). If you start experiencing pain or swelling, try Benadryl or ibuprofen respectively!!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT USE THIS!! Product. I went from uncomfortable from the YI to burning and inflamed in just an hour! Ran to the bathroom and tried to rinse with cool water. It's been 45 min, and I'm still in misery. I honestly hope I didn't hurt anything permanently! OMG, idk what to do."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I never write reviews, but I feel morally obligated to tell everyone that if you love your vagina, don't ever use this! This was the most painful experience of my life. I cried for 2 hours. This devil's egg feels like beehives and fire ants crawled up your vagina, and you can't get it out. Still waiting to see if it cured my infection, but it's been 15 hours, and my vagina is so swollen inside every time I walk. It feels like it's chafing. DO NOT USE THIS!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Wish I would have read these reviews before taking the Monistat 1. I've taken the 3-day before, didn't think it would be any different, just a stronger dose... Ummm, yeah, no! The reviews are completely accurate! Took at bedtime and woke up at 4 am burning, swollen, and the worst itching of my life. My YI wasn't even this bad. Hopefully, it passes soon and I feel some relief."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used this 4 days ago and have basically been sitting in misery with an ice pack on my crotch the last 3 days. It seems to have cleared the yeast infection okay, but the side effects - red, crazy itching and swelling - I’d rather have the yeast infection, so you all know how desperate I am feeling. Not sure if this is a “cheap” version, I just saw that it was a 1-shot deal, which is why I bought it. I do not recommend unless you have zero vulnerability to skin breakout/reactions."
