Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I purchased the Rite Aid brand 1-day Tioconazole after the Diflucan treatment failed. I'm so glad I did. The day after I applied the medicine, I only experienced a little bit of swelling and burning, which was totally tolerable. After 2 days, the itching had stopped, and all symptoms were gone after 3 days. This will be my go-to OTC med from now on if I ever need to use it again!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I, of course, like many unsuspecting victims, went to buy this product without reading the information/reviews on it first. Once injected, I read the reviews and, of course, freaked out due to all the negative comments. I used the Monistat one-day ovule, I was preparing myself for the worst discomfort, but all I got was some slight burning and itching, nothing unbearable. I had the discomfort for probably about an hour, and then it went away, and I already feel my symptoms disappearing. I'm not sure why some people on here had such bad reactions, but I just wanted to share my experience and say that it wasn't bad at all!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Like most here on this website, laying down, itching and burning, trying not to think, so I can ignore it as much as possible. Not as painful as other medications I've tried before. I tried Monistat a couple of months ago, but it didn't do anything, so I'm trying this because it's a stronger treatment. Not unbearable, but most definitely, it burns."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I looked into it, and burning from Monistat often occurs when you have an infection other than a yeast infection because the pH levels are different and cause a different reaction. Yeast infections don't change pH in this way. Use an infection screening kit from any pharmacy and make sure you only have a yeast infection before using Monistat. I had only a yeast infection and therefore experienced none of this itching or burning, just light cramps."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, listen here. It's really irritating reading about how 'it's burned so bad'! Lord have mercy, you have a YI, of course, it's going to burn! I applied, and yes, it burned, but understand that that just means that you have an infection that evidently needs to be cleared. Your vagina is infected, and imagine putting lemon on a cut and then later complaining, 'ahhhh, it burns'... okay, well, I applied around 10 pm, and it burned for a while, but the overall effectiveness was amazing. The itching was gone in less than 2 days. The other burning and discharge were gone within 3 days!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, I'm 63 years old and have had more than my share of yeast infections, although it's really not an actual infection but an overgrowth of yeast, right? I tried Monistat 1 only because the 3, 5, and 7-day dosages were out of stock. Ladies, this product is not good. Being post-menopause with no vaginal moisture to mitigate effects, I'm now on my 5th day of itching worse than the condition itself and burning from vulva to anus. I used to use Monistat in my younger days. I cannot believe the difference! I know you fertile females are suffering too, judging from your comments. But if any other post-menopausal gals are reading this, here is my heartfelt advice: slow down, take a few days. Use the extended dosage. Good luck all. Back to cold compresses! Damn."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I used this same product in 2016. Now, fast-forwarding to 2019, I find the need to put my Vag through this hell. The Monistat causes itching, burning, and pain like no other, because it is constantly there with no ceasing. You will not sleep, concentrate, or be in a good mood while this extremely strong medication is doing what you paid to do - kill the yeast infection! I am literally writing this review as I am sitting under the massive discomfort of this medication. I don’t discourage anyone from using it, however, I put out a disclaimer: BEWARE! It will test your character, patience, tolerance, and soul! But it works, it will get rid of an itch, odor, and burning from YI. Time: It takes about 1-2 hours for the gelatin egg to dissolve, and the burning, itching, and discomfort to start. Length: This varies. Discomfort could last from 1 hour to eternity."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Don't use the external cream. My itching and burning have increased 1,000,000 times. It's unbearable. Now I'm reading these reviews and wish I had just called the doctor. But why does a product that's supposed to help with burning and itching make it worse?!?"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "It has been 3 years since I tried this product. Somehow I had forgotten how horrible it is! I used the Monistat 1 Day ovule at 4 pm for a standard yeast infection, wanted to stop it before it was full-blown. By midnight, my vag was on fire, and by 2 am, my labia was so swollen it was hard to walk without pain! I used this 38 hours ago, and I'm still in pain! This product is poison! Do not use if you value your health and sanity! Nightmare! Shame on the partner companies (Prestige Brands Holdings, Inc., the makers of MONISTAT®, and Vertical Pharmaceuticals, LLC) that make so much money off a known severe symptom-causing product. All female executives that have a hand in marketing and promoting this product need a sample dose of the fire ovule!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Currently pregnant, and this is my 2nd yeast infection within 7 months. The 1st infection, I did the 5-day treatment with the medicine that begins with M... miconazole? No complaints about that; I just wanted it cleared up quicker than that. After itching and rubbing raw for over a week, I decided to try this 1-day treatment with the active ingredient tioconazole. It’s been about 30 min since I have inserted the medicine, and so far, so good. I was worried about the burning and itching others had experienced, but I feel like I burned and itched more before insertion. Fingers crossed it clears soon!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I've had a yeast infection for a week, just milky discharge and the smell of yeast! I decided to buy Monistat 1 Dat Max Strength egg from the pharmacy. Usually, I use the one-day cream with no pain or side effects. After it started to run out, the burning started. I told my boyfriend I've never felt this before, it felt like I was sitting on a hot lightbulb!!! I started to panic thinking I'm having an allergic reaction. What is wrong with my VJ? I didn't have the nerve to look. My boyfriend told me it might be because it's the one-day egg, which means they have to triple the dose to cure the yeast at a higher dose. He always knows the right things to say when I'm worried, or maybe he knew I would make him go to the hospital with me, lol. I'm feeling slight warmth today."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I guess our bodies do react differently. I was in excruciating pain with the swelling, the itching, and the burning from this yeast infection caused by antibiotics that I needed something fast! My husband bought me the Monistat 1 (first yeast, we weren't sure what to use). But this was the perfect treatment. Used it at night, right after a shower, and I felt so much comfort the morning after. I gotta say I was very surprised! I'm very satisfied with this product, well worth the $15. Do read the instructions. I used the cream applicator and (not that I want to, but) I would use it again. Fast relief for me. Thank you, Monistat!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This product did work, but I'll NEVER use it again. I put it in and went to bed. I woke up about two hours later, and my vagina was burning/itching like nothing I've ever experienced. It felt like my v was on fire. Seriously! It was horrible. I tried to clean it all out. About one and a half hours later, the burning and itching went away. Yes, the product worked, but I burned/itched SO bad that I'll never use it again. Just call the Dr. and get a prescription. You'll thank me later."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG this stuff burns 100x worse than the YI! I inserted it about 15 mins ago and laid right down. I was so uncomfortable I would rather not have taken anything and just called my doc for a prescription. I DO Not Recommend! After the burning started, I wondered if this was normal, so I started looking for reviews. After reading through them, I decided I couldn't take the burning/itching anymore. I went to the toilet and pushed the gel out and wiped all the cream off. For a while, I just wanted to scratch with something sharp because it was a painful itch. Now I'm laying in bed with a cool wash cloth between my legs feeling a little bit better. Man, that was torture!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Tioconazole worked wonders for me! I took it 2 days after I noticed my YI coming on... (I’ve had them in the past, so I knew what it was right away), and I did NOT experience any of the crazy burning or itching like the other reviews say. But I did have a slight itch after I took it, but nothing unbearable. It took 4 days for my symptoms to be completely gone. I will use this again if I ever need it!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm turning 16 at the end of this month, and I had another yeast infection. I used Vagisil before, suggested by my doctor. This time, my mother went and picked up Monistat 1. In comparison, there was no burning or irritation once I applied the medicine. I would suggest wearing a pad and loose pants that you don't mind getting ruined, as suggested. However, I felt very uncomfortable about 4 hours after. It was a mixture of burning and itching, so I kept walking around my house and trying to get myself to ignore it. I eventually laid down and went to sleep. When I woke up, I felt completely better. There is still some irritation, but it isn't as bad as it was a few days ago. I would highly recommend it if you don't mind the slight side effects."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I read the reviews after I took this. Usually, I do it before, but my vagina was on a crazy itchy spree. So I took whatever my husband brought home because I couldn't even walk without itching, lol. Anyways, these reviews scared the hell out of me. I put the egg in around 2 pm, I waited a few hours to feel the crazy burning, but it never happened. Instead, I felt a nice hot/cool feeling like the way mint feels in your mouth. I had a good experience. It's the next day, so far, it's taken the problem away. I do recommend a panty liner on your underwear. Unless you do what I did, wear old underwear and throw them out. Everyone is different! So here is the not-so-scary review."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you can endure a major constant itch for a few hours, then you’ll be fine. Tioconazole works and will have your symptoms almost gone by the very next day. Yes, once you put it in, it will give you an intense itch. If the product melts and comes down your vagina, yes, it will then burn. I kept my legs propped up right after application so it didn’t burn me. Too bad, but the itching came 10 minutes after application. The itching was so bad that I showered, and it cured the itching. Even with me showering, I still had more product up there. Some did come out in the shower, but not a lot. Just know it works and this product is way better than having to wait to see a doctor and get a script."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "To be clear, my review is for the ovule, not the applicator. The ovule should be banished back to the hell from which it came. The ovule contains 1,200 mg of the antifungal; compared to 300 mg for the 1-day applicator, 200 mg for the 3-day, and 100 mg for the 7-day. Whoever had the bright idea to up the acceptable dosage 4-12 times deserves to be shot. If you take this product, your vagina will burn with the fire of a thousand suns and leave you trying to cool everything down with ice cubes and either running to the gyno or crying in your bathroom while trying to scrape out this horrible, horrible product from your now swollen, raw vagina. You will not, as advertised, be working, because it's hard to work when your vag is molten. DO NOT BUY!!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Girl, stop, if you're thinking about buying this, just stop and read these reviews. The burning and itching are far worse than your yeast infection could ever be. My only escape is reading these reviews to know I'm not suffering alone. I had to make a doctor's appointment to make sure I didn't ruin my entire vagina. I have to assume it's only time before a lawsuit or it's taken off the shelves because of the mass suffering to all these poor, innocent vaginas out there."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "My mom had recommended this cream for me. I did not know what to expect once I purchased it. I did not look up reviews or anything, so I was fully unaware of the side effects. Once I inserted it, about 10 minutes passed, and I started to feel discomfort. It then turned from discomfort to the most extreme burning I've ever felt in my life. My vagina was burning for a good 4 hours. I can admit, the following day, my yeast infection went away. But the process before that was literally helllllll! I was literally crying all night because I didn't think the burning would go away. I would rather deal with the yeast infection than deal with that burning pain I felt. Although it helps, I don't think it's worth all that pain."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I inserted it at 9:50 p.m. It's now 10:12 p.m., and I wanna stab someone in the throat. It started itching and burning immediately. I'm about to jump out of my car window while on the freeway if this doesn't end. My vaginal area feels like I have fleas. I swear to God I will never, and I repeat, never use this product again."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wanted to share my experience because I’m kind of shocked by the other reviews for Monistat 1. I worry that they could either unnecessarily scare someone who has already used it or keep someone from using it who could benefit from it and doesn’t otherwise have easy access to healthcare (like prescriptions). Yeast infections are uncomfortable, period. And the drug used in Monistat is powerful. That being said, it worked for me. I had a minor yeast infection and used Monistat 1. I continued to work out and go about my daily activities as usual. I was definitely a little uncomfortable, but certainly not even close to the point of needing to go to urgent care. After all, I recognize that this is a really strong antifungal treatment. For those who are more sensitive to pain and discomfort, I would highly recommend a 3 or 7-day treatment. Three days later, my symptoms are much better. While not 100%, I no longer have any burning or major itching."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was my second YI. The first time, I used the 3-day but stopped after day 2 because I felt so much better. So this time, I decided to go with the 1-day to get it over with. I put it in right before bed and then, like so many others, read these terrible reviews. I braced myself for the worst and went to bed. I honestly didn't sleep very well because I was expecting to wake up in pain. But I didn't. No burning, minimal itching. I peed twice in the middle of the night and made sure to wipe back to front. My only complaint would be the discharge, though it's to be expected. Just used a panty liner and no big deal. Woke up in the morning, took a shower, and used the wipes, and I feel no symptoms. I think it's trial and error but no complaints from me."
