Rosula (sulfacetamide sodium/sulfur) for Seborrheic Dermatitis "I had an outbreak of peri-oral dermatitis in addition to my Rosacea. I used a high powered cortisone cream that worked amazingly well, but when I went off of it I had an extreme rebound outbreak (much worse than I've ever had). I used many natural remedies (aloe gel, aloe juice, lavender) which eased the outbreak but didn't eliminate it. I added the use of Rosula and within days my outbreak is almost completely gone. It smells bad, but it seems to work for me."

For Acne "I 100000% agree about the smell. Its pretty bad, do not let it touch your clothes or good luck getting rid of the smell. Your face smells like sulfur after the wash and your sink smells like sulfur as well. I would recommend useing this during a shower only due not having it touch your clothes and to make sure if washs off completely. If it gets in your eyes prepare for alot of burning. For acne its pretty good but just becareful"

Sumadan (sulfacetamide sodium/sulfur) for Acne "I was prescribed Sumadan Wash by my Dermatologist. My acne went away quickly. My face was so bad before I used this that I stopped going out because I had break outs and dark marks everywhere. I use this along with Aczone and tazorac. My dark spots are gone and so is my acne."

Rosula (sulfacetamide sodium/sulfur) for Rosacea "I used the brand name ROSULA yellow cream, which came in a tube, before they stopped making it. When used it in the morning along with Duac at night, it helped my Rosacea and skin in general. I went to another brand (only one active ingredient) when I could no longer get Rosula cream--it's a watery clear liquid; not as effective and drips everywhere."

Clarifoam EF (sulfacetamide sodium/sulfur) for Rosacea "Clarifoam has greatly reduced burning, red rosacea breakouts I was getting on my face under my eyes. But I still get them from time to time, just a lot less frequently. It's easy to use. Smell is sulfurish, which bugged me at first but I am used to it now. My copayment is pretty high for Clarifoam."

For Rosacea "I have to say being prescribed Avar cleanser and finding that it would cost over $400 for a 1 month supply with drug company card the generic is just as good. The other cream that I was prescribed...Aczone was $711 with my plan. I am still using samples but it has improved my face 50% on right side and 65% on left side so far over 2 weeks. My dermatologist called in Clindamycin to replace the aczone. I am a little weary."

For Acne "I have been washing my skin with sulfacleanse to treat my acne for several weeks now (once nightly). I tend to get deep, painful acne on my face and back. I also have moderate-severe scarring on my face from past breakouts. So far I am pleased with this product. I have very sensitive skin, and it did not cause any initial breakouts and is not considerable overdrying for me. I believe that the amount of acne I have been getting has lessened since starting this wash. I also think that it is aiding in fading some of my acne scars. The progress is slow, but at least it's progress! So far, so good."

For Acne "My dermatologist recommended Sumadan to me and I used it for a couple days. After about 3 uses, right when I washed my face wth it my face started burning. My face was covered in hives and was burning hot. The dermatologist said to keep it as the rash is common, but I just couldn't because I was in so much pain. Eventually she prescribed me something else"

Avar Cleanser (sulfacetamide sodium/sulfur) for Acne "After 2 months of random bad breakouts, I went to the dermatologist and was told I had mild/ moderate acne. I was prescribed the Avar cleanser to use at night with differen gel, and cetaphil acne prone face wash in the morning and to use Aczone as a spot treatment on breakouts. The avar cleanser was very nice. It smells but not that bad. I have dry skin and this has little exfoliating scrubs in it. It made my skin baby smooth. My acne is a lot better, but I have also been on doxycycline for a month. I do recommend this product! I hope it helps you!"

Clarifoam EF (sulfacetamide sodium/sulfur) for Acne "Clarifoam works great...my skin looks amazing. The only drawback to using this product is that you have to leave it on for 10 minutes. I leave it on in the shower..but you have to do it twice a day making the second time harder because you have to wait to wash it off."

For Acne "I have tried everything to help my acne, Pills, Proactiv, Clean and Clear, and other dermatologist recommended products. This product by far has done the best job at helping get rid of my acne. I have finally found something that helps my acne. I would suggest this to anyone suffering from acne."

For Rosacea "I was really hopeful when my dermatologist prescribed this to me, but it only made the condition of my skin worse. I do have a sulfa allergy, which I mentioned more than once to the dermatologist, and she insisted that it would be fine since I'm not ingesting it. Well, whatever you put on your skin eventually ends up in your system. The skin is the largest organ! I tried this on three different occasions, and had the same experience each time. The texture of my skin got much worse, I looked and felt super dry, wrinkly, and it turned me red in certain places, especially my cheeks. I battle both acne and rosacea, and this did not help either of those issues. I gave this a 2 because it's possible I was effected due to my allergy. Normally my face loves sulfur (I've used Prosacea with success), but the addition of the sulfacetamide was not a good fit for me."

For Acne "It works great. Really cleared up any acne around my lips. So if you have acne around your lips you definitely want to use this. My doctor makes me go to a dermatologist to get the prescription though. "

For Rosacea "I began using this wash sulfacetamide sodium with sulfur twice daily about 3 months ago along with an antibiotic topical:Clindamycin Lotion. Immediate Results...thankfully at age 64 not quite what I expected to deal with. I knew I had rosacea for years but never treated for it due to I just have an occasional water filled bumps but mainly rosy red cheeks. The past two years it became progressively worse. I have not had an issue with it drying my skin out however I still had extremely oily skin in the warmer months for my age. I use it faithfully twice a day with Clindamycin Lotion. Not sure which works better but together they work great."

For Acne "Used 10% sulfacetamide wash, no sulfur, made my skin so oily and red I’m dealing with repercussions 3 weeks later still. Completely ruined my skin texture and now I have large inflammatory pimples and tons of comedones despite being on topical antibiotic that cleared my acne for two months before adding this. Have to start doing oral antibiotics now to clear this up. Don’t recommend. Ps I have very mild rosacea or pre rosacea skin"

For Rosacea "My rosacea drastically improved with this wash. The small cluster of bumps I had for over a year disappeared. I still have frequent redness but the symptoms are far lessened. I only had a very mild case of rosacea symptoms- small bumps, redness, without any extreme texture or swelling of the face."

For Rosacea "I have tried Acello cleanser twice, the first time for 2 months and the second time for 1.5 months (1 year apart). Both times it cleared my acne rosacea within days and my skin felt great for about 2 weeks. Slowly it got more sensitive and by the month 1.5 my skin burned/stung so much that I had to quit using it. I was using it once/day and moisturizing. I am so disappointed since it did such a good job clearing my bumps. I'm wondering if I have a sulfa allergy. I may try plain sulfur as soon as I can heal my skin from this latest try with the Acello wash. I have not used the wash in 3 weeks and my skin is still stinging/burning and feeling tight."

For Acne "I am about to be prescribed sodium sulfacetamide along with already started topical tretinoin gel. And I've been taking minocycline for like 6 weeks. My acne now is mainly comedones (bumpy, under the skin, flesh color, don't hurt). I'm hoping the tretinoin helps this plus some noticeable wrinkles from years in the sun. I've always battled with acne, been on Accutane twice, but wanted to say, the other night I spread selenium sulfide lotion 2.5% all over my face, left it on for 10mins, and I was amazed. Not one blackhead I could find and completely cleaned out my pores. The med is for itchy scalp but wow, something about it worked That's why I'm getting the sulfacetamide tomorrow. I'll follow up to say how it goes."

For Acne "This medication was originally prescribed to use for for boils under my armpits. It worked wonders for my boils so I started to use it as a wash for my face. It love how it cleared up my face and my face feels smooth."

For Acne "I used the samples my doctor gave me for oily skin. It smelled terrible, but it really worked for my oily skin! I got the prescription and, guess what... it smells great and DOESN'T WORK! I brought it to my doctor and she compared the labels and they matched up. I thought maybe it was a fluke, so I got the medicine again and same thing... good smell, but doesn't work at all. It was so depressing because I had finally found something that controlled my oil, but I can't ask for a lifetime of samples! At $50 a pop (with insurance), I'm not going to keep trying it."

For Acne "Very alarming symptoms. Joints in hands and big toes began hurting after using two weeks. I am talking constant pain. This medication causes lupus! I am so scared, I’ve stopped using it. This Rx is not worth the health risks. I am very upset with my dermatologist. I hope my joint pain goes away! I am most sickened by this."

For Acne "Made my son’s chin acne 100 x worse. Chin was clear but started this cleanser as a preventative to football chin strap acne but broke him out with huge painful pimples. I would not recommend this. Should have just stuck with a basic cleanser like vanicream and clindy topical solution."

Clarifoam EF (sulfacetamide sodium/sulfur) for Acne "I was given Clarifoam EF by my dermatologist for my cystic acne. I must say it did not work at all for me, it didn't get rid of break outs or stop them. I had been using it for 4 weeks and still managed to get 3 painful cystic pimples between my eyebrows."
