For Osteoarthritis "I have been on this for over more than 2 years. I get 6 injections a year because of arthritis in two knees. I feel pretty good. I don't need a knee replacement. I would recommend getting it and just take it easy for two days."

For Osteoarthritis "Got the Durolane injection instead of Synvisc. It does not even come close to pain relief similar to Synvisc. It wears off after about 3 to 4 weeks. The Synvisc was good for maybe 14 to 16 months. The pain is constant and unrelenting. The fluid on my knee restricts the joint from bending. I finally turn to opioids. Opiates do not relieve the pain, it just makes you ignore it. No more Disney or Epcot for me. Hey, United Healthcare, if you’re listening, it’s all your fault."

For Osteoarthritis "I used the Euflexxa injections for a couple of years, and they were a complete lifesaver! When I went for what I thought was going to be another round, I was told when I got into the exam room that Priority Health will no longer cover it, and unless I wanted to pay out of pocket (thousands of dollars), I would have to go back to cortisone shots, which don't work at all for me. I'm so sad... I've had tons of knee pain in both knees since I had to stop the Euflexxa, and now my doctor is recommending knee replacements in both knees. Shame on you, Priority Health! Insurance companies make me sick! They'd rather pay for knee replacements than a relatively inexpensive drug that works!? It makes no sense... and the impact on people's lives when they have to have major surgery is just unnecessary... Cover the drugs, please!"

For Osteoarthritis "This is my second year of using Supartz. So far, it is working. I refused to get a knee replacement and looked for other options, and this came up. I know it does not work for everyone. I combined it with weight loss and exercise of the upper thighs of the leg, as well as a cortisone shot every three months. I will keep doing this until they come up with something other than full knee replacement as long as it works. The weight loss was really helpful. Just 25 lbs, but it made a difference."

For Osteoarthritis "I am 45 with bone-on-bone osteoarthritis. MD said I'm too young for TKR. I had a meniscal tear removed in July but still had extreme pain. After PT, MD recommended Euflexxa. Figured I'd give it a try, can't hurt. I finished my 3rd injection 4 weeks ago. Climbing stairs and walking is easier and less painful. There are days that the knee pain is worse, but that is handled by a dose of ibuprofen. I am no longer taking the max of anti-inflammatories on a daily basis. These shots have made daily activities less painful. Allow 6 weeks from the first shot to feel benefits and communicate with your MD of any issues. So far I'm hopeful."

For Osteoarthritis "The Euflexxa provides relief for me for the pain of bone on bone in both knees. Originally, the relief would last for a year, now it's down to about nine months. I have extreme pain upon receiving the injections. I'm very interested to see that no one else seems to have this. My MD/PA ices the knee first and uses a topical spray, but the actual injecting of the Euflexxa causes me a lot of pain. Yesterday, the PA kept telling me to breathe. She was afraid I was going to pass out. The first shot of the series of three is always the worst, so I'm hoping next week's injections won't be so bad. This is probably my fourth time to have these shots."

For Osteoarthritis "Me again, it’s been almost 3 weeks and still no change! I filed a complaint with Durolane and the FDA, yet no one reaches out to me. I can barely walk, and I’m in severe pain around the clock from these injections. They have ruined the quality of my life! I was hiking and cycling prior to injections but had knee pain. Now, my legs are so stiff I cannot even bend them enough to do a pedal rotation on my bike! Do not get these horrible injections!"

For Osteoarthritis "Received first series of Supartz shots in 2005. Pain-free until 2009. In 2012, I was unable to receive Supartz as the office was no longer offering them. I received another product but got no relief from pain. I will be looking for a doctor that offers Supartz."

For Osteoarthritis "After the first injection, it was very painful. Doctor told me I have to come to the second injection. Now, after the third injection, I can’t walk, terrible pain. What kind of experiment did they do? What do I have to do now?"

For Osteoarthritis "I just finished my 3rd series of 3 shots each. Give it 2-3 weeks after your last shot. Stay away from cardio and ice it daily. This is truly an amazing product. It hurts during and after and take it easy."

For Osteoarthritis "I had my first shots on 1-21-16. OMG, did it hurt so bad! Lots of pressure, but I got through it. I felt amazing after a couple of hours. I'm so glad to be rid of that pain. Ouch! I had the second shots a week later in both knees, and it was less painful this time; it went great. On Feb 9, I had my last shots. No pain; my knees feel great still on Feb 17! :) I'm glad I did this series of Euflexxa shots! I couldn't even walk before; now, wow, I'm good! Hope they last a long time! ;)"

For Osteoarthritis "I went in today for my first of the 3 injections of Euflexxa. I had psyched myself out pretty bad by reading some of the reviews, so I wanted to at least share mine because it was a good experience. I am no fan of needles or injections and had great difficulty after going through Prolough therapy injections. But this was 2 seconds of pinch, a little burning discomfort but nothing compared to what I was worried it would be, and my knees feel better now than when I went in today. So for now, I have to say I am glad I did it and will be continuing with the other 2 injections in the coming weeks. Best of luck to everyone and pain-free days!"

For Osteoarthritis "I had my 3rd injection of Gelsyn-3 this week. Two days after, I started experiencing severe lower back pain and also severe muscle pain in both of my thighs. I hope this doesn’t last too much longer, it is one of the side effects. So far, no relief for my knee pain."

For Osteoarthritis "In the queue for hip replacement but started looking for alternatives. Took an ultrasound-guided hip joint injection a month ago, 3 ml of Durolane. Pain increased for the first week and a half, but now almost no pain, very pleased and hope it lasts 6 months. I'm getting over my limp, building up atrophied muscles, and resuming my regular activities like long walks and pickleball."

For Osteoarthritis "These series of 3 shots were a godsend to me. I'm a very active person, and the knee was so severe that I could not walk without limping. It took 6 weeks after the 3rd shot to get relief. I'm back to walking and able to ride my bicycle for 10 plus miles 4 times a week. I also participate in several activities in a retirement park during the winter months in FL. My spouse and I are able to take cruises, and I'm pleased that I can walk the whole ship from one end to the other. I'm also able to get off the ship and walk around the ports."

For Osteoarthritis "Gelsyn-3 was recommended by my doctor for osteoarthritis. I agreed, thinking it was safe. I had 3 injections a week apart. By the second injection, I was walking a bit odd but didn't pay too much attention-I should have. Went in and got the third, then mentioned my odd gait... drop foot. No stroke or injury, nothing outside of having the injections. I am finding I stumble now and have fallen three times, once a hard fall. Previously very active 5-6 times per week, but not anymore. I was an avid hiker but can't chance a rough trail, 'smooth' surfaces are a daily challenge. Nerve conduction study happening soon. Hoping this won't last. The last injection/onset was about 3-1/2 months ago. Deep muscle pain daily, more on than off. Wakes me at night. Even my femur seems to hurt. Hoping for the best..."

For Osteoarthritis "I am one week out from my third series (both knees) of Euflexxa injections, and so far, so good. More than forty years of competing and instructing taekwondo wore my cartilage away (I've also had both hips replaced), and I faced some challenging days. Since Euflexxa was introduced by my pain management doctor, I have begun trusting my legs again. There is less pain most days. Of course, none of us know how long the relief will last, but I am happy with my experience to date. The treatments -- my first injection also contained cortisone -- were not all that bad. Good luck to all."

For Osteoarthritis "Had the full series of 3 Gelsyn-3 injections done, and in all honesty, my knee feels worse now than it did before I started this treatment. I work construction, and after the treatments, my knee doesn't feel stable enough to climb ladders, and I'm having trouble getting in and out of the back of my truck. Would not recommend this product to anyone."

For Osteoarthritis "I have two bad knees. The doctor had put Orthovisc in the right one a few years ago, and it’s been fine. The left one has become failing, so he agreed to inject it with a solution. I thought it would be the same thing. On the third injection, I saw the tube, and it was marked Gel-SYN3. That was 2 months ago. I am still unable to walk or climb up stairs without holding my breath. I have to help my legs out of the car. After sitting, I have to raise myself to standing with my arms. My right knee is starting to fail again because of the stress on it. I will refuse to have Gel-SYN3 placed inside my right knee joint after the first experience. The stuff caused my entire leg to swell, and a lump formed behind my knee."

For Osteoarthritis "I’ve had Durolane injections twice over the past 14 months. Initially, I had an injection in my right knee, and it provided complete pain relief for 8 months. Then I got injections in both knees and have been pain-free for 7 months. All the injections were performed without ultrasound guidance. I did rest my knees for 48 hours after the injections. Both my knees are bone-on-bone, and I’ll eventually need knee replacements. But the Durolane injections are buying me some time and allowing me to remain active. I’ll get injections in both knees again next week. I specifically asked my doctor for Durolane for the upcoming injections because it has worked so well for me."

For Osteoarthritis "I have had osteoarthritis in both knees since 1997. I had to have arthroscopy on the right knee in 1997. The pain over the years has been horrible. Last year a new orthopedic doctor asked me to try Euflexxa, and I said I would try anything at this point. I was in so much pain when I went in for my first round of shots. The shots hurt so bad, but my doctor said, 'Just give it time.' The second shot hurt less, and I could tell the shots were starting to work. The third shot still hurt, and my doctor kept saying, 'Trust me.' Two weeks after all three shots, the pain had subsided so much that I only had to take my pain meds when I went to bed. I am currently on my third set of shots, and I will not go past my six months. This is a Godsend!"

For Osteoarthritis "I had the last of my three injections 8-21-20. No relief after any of the shots and no relief to date (10-16-20). Pain is as bad or worse. Over the years, I’ve received Synvisc, and it was a miracle cure lasting sometimes two years. But my insurance wouldn’t authorize Synvisc. Since I already received the Gelsyn injections, I have to wait until Feb ‘21 before I can try to get a Synvisc. Meanwhile, each day I’m in extreme pain. I don’t think Gelsyn compares to Synvisc."

"In April 2014, my knees just simply gave out. No cartilage, the doc said. I tried cortisone, it did absolutely nothing. I started Euflexxa in July '14. I got 1 shot a week for 3 weeks straight. I felt better, I still limped and could not put weight on it, but it was better. In January 2015, I took the 2nd series of 3 shots. It got better again... limp reduced, and I could put more weight on it. I just got my 3rd series over the past 3 weeks. Instantly, with the first shot, my knee felt better... vast improvement. The second shot was even better. About 5 days after the second shot, it has been 2 days and all of a sudden, I realized, wow, I haven't had any knee pain in 2 straight days! So much so, I FORGOT about my knees! It takes time, but it works!!"

For Osteoarthritis "I am a 49-year-old female suffering from severe osteoarthritis of the right knee. Have tried steroid injections with very temporary relief (less than a month). Dr. recommended Durolane. Had my injection yesterday (2/4/2021). Pain was very intense and nearly fell when I stood up to leave. Had a pounding headache by the time I got home and had a rough time getting in the house. Iced knee and took ibuprofen as recommended. Ached through the night but I was able to sleep on and off. When I woke this morning, the pain is worse than before the injection. As I walked into the kitchen, my knee gave out and I nearly fell. I am off work today and tomorrow. Praying that taking it easy and icing my knee, the pain will subside soon. I'm wishing I didn't get the injection at this point. I have pain radiating in both directions (from knee to ankle/from knee to hip). I'll keep you updated on when and if this pain lets up."

For Osteoarthritis "I am a 65-year-old active male. I had a scope on my left knee for a torn medial meniscus. For 8 months, I was able to resume my activities, including golf, walking, biking, and swimming. Then, my knee began to swell and become painful again. My doc gave me a corticosteroid injection (pretty painful) in the knee joint. I received immediate relief, which lasted about 3 months before the swelling and pain returned. I conferred with my doc again and opted for Euflexxa instead of another steroid injection. The pain from the injection was minimal, and about a week after the 3rd injection, I have been pain-free. I still ice my knee after exercise but hope that this remedy will buy me 6 months before I have another course of injections."
