For Parkinson's Disease "I was started on Mirapex for Parkinson's Disease. I have horrible pain, stiffness, tremors, headaches, dizziness, and the list goes on. I had been confined to bed for nearly a year due to my complications. The very day I began taking the Mirapex, we began to see improvement. As my dosage was increased, I continued to show more and more improvement. Mirapex is giving me my life back...slowly but surely! The only complications I have are when my dosage is increased. I have slight nausea and tiredness but other than that I have had no other side effects."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "Doctor recommended this after trying gabapentin (in which gabapentin was very helpful, just made me extremely tired throughout the day). First day I took it, hit me like a train. I could tell my body was getting uneasy, so I quickly got myself ready for bed because I wasn’t sure what I was in for. The second I laid in bed, extreme nausea and dizziness. I was waiting for my food to come right back up that I had just eaten. My body was just taking a toll, I had to call into work the next day because I still felt sick when I woke up. Then, after reading other reviews, I decided that was the last time I would ever take that pill again."

For Parkinson's Disease "I was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. I was started on Mirapex. After 3 weeks of therapy, I had to stop due to severe side effects: auditive hallucinations, nausea, peripheral edema, muscle pain, vivid dreams, and the worst, difficulty sleeping, having the need to get up and move constantly. I'm sure that this is a very good medication, but I couldn't tolerate the side effects."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "I have had restless leg syndrome all my life. I can remember when I was about 5 or 6 telling my mom my feet tickle... didn't know how else to explain it at that age. Today I am 39 years old and am only alive because of Mirapex. My RLS has become so severe that without this medication I would not sleep. One time I was without my medication and was up for 3 days straight. Ended up in the emergency room many times when I didn't have any medication just to get some form of relief. I currently take Mirapex 1 mg at night, but sometimes will have to take a half during the day. My RLS will bother me mid-afternoon at times and when it's really bad will go into my hands and forearms. I am eternally grateful for Mirapex despite the side effects of nausea, tired, and weak."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "Delighted to hear others have benefited by taking Mirapex, I have had very mixed results. It certainly has alleviated my symptoms connected with Restless Legs Syndrome. But the relief came with a price. I became so nauseated that I was up all night, so after three nights I had to stop taking the medicine. I found Percocet the ideal replacement."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "I took Mirapex for moderate RLS for about a year, and it worked like a charm. Then I began to develop side effects bad enough to force me to quit. Eventually, within 30 minutes of taking Mirapex at night, I would experience severe nausea and vomiting that would last for hours."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "I took Mirapex for a couple of months with my severe restless leg syndrome. It seemed to help, but I would wake up in the middle of the night and in the morning before work and have severe nausea and vomiting. I am now taking Requip, and it has been doing the same thing."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "Unfortunately, this medication caused extreme nausea, dry heaves, and bloating. It did help my RLS, but I could not tolerate the severe nausea and dry heaves."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "I have suffered with restless leg syndrome since a child. About 5 years ago, started on Requip. It caused severe nausea. Mirapex is the answer for me."

For Parkinson's Disease "I tried it for one day, and the side effects made me bedridden for almost 2 days. I felt so nauseous and extremely drowsy. Had a headache and then felt weak. I can't take this again."
