For Neutropenia Associated with Chemotherapy "I've been taking Neupogen for low WBC prior to chemo. After getting several mosquito bites that didn't heal, hemorrhoids that wouldn't go away, and four days of acid diarrhea each cycle, my oncologist decided to try Neulasta. My hemorrhoids are less painful, and the acid diarrhea I had seems to have gone away. I have experienced daily aches in my large bones...thighs, hips, sternum, and lower spine. Tylenol helps. I won't know my counts till next week."

For Neutropenia Associated with Chemotherapy "I have had two shots of Neulasta. There were no side effects at all after the first. Thus, I was not prepared for the extreme tenderness, soreness, and achiness from my waist up after the second. Even my face hurt. It lasted 36 to 48 hours, then was gone. My white blood count does go up, so it is doing its job. Have to wonder what will happen next time after injection three."

For Neutropenia Associated with Chemotherapy "I have an injection the day after Taxotere chemo for breast cancer. The aches kick in the day after and two days later are very uncomfortable, mostly in my bones down from the waist. I take 4 x 200 mg of Ibuprofen with my morning cuppa and that takes about an hour to take effect and will last me until about tea time. Then I take a couple of paracetamol before bed. When it starts to get better after about 5 days, I just take a co-codamol tablet before bed and then I sleep. My doc has approved this regime. I even resorted to drinking wine one night and yes, it dulls the pain, but I felt rubbish the next day. I experimented to see what worked for me. My blood count is excellent, so it all seems worth it."
