For Pain "I was in an accident. Doctors' words...I had to learn how to do everything again: walk, talk, stand, brush teeth, etc. Oxycodone and OxyContin neither worked much. I was switched to Opana ER. What a difference this made. Pain was reduced by 50%, more than the OxyContin, and almost no mental decrease. This was my biggest issue and now solved with Opana ER. Thank you, Opana ER."

For Pain "I was prescribed OxyContin 30 mg 4X daily, and eventually, it didn't work so well as when I first started taking it. I took my leftover OxyContin pills to my physician, who then prescribed me 40 mg Opana ER (yellow octagonal shape). It works so much better than OxyContin, and the pain relief lasts longer. There is no 'high' associated with Opana ER. I have several painful medical conditions after being injured at work, and some years later, was involved in a near-fatal car wreck. Opana ER is a wonderful medication. The only drawback is that it does take about an hour to start working well. The pain relief lasts about 8 hours. I highly recommend speaking to your physician about Opana ER if continuous pain relief is needed."

For Pain "I have suffered for over 30 years. Was going to the VA, and then my family DR gave me this, it was a life change, and then the medicine went off for a short time. I thought it would never come back. When it did, my Dr slowly moved my medicine up. I am getting better, I have a lot of pain, was hurt in the army."

For Pain "I crashed a motorcycle almost ten years ago at 80 mph. I am lucky to be alive and walking. I have tons of back problems now, though. The doctors fed me high doses of every narcotic out there. I became addicted to the feeling of being pain-free, no matter how many pills I had to take. Life got unmanageable, and I was tired of it. After ten years of this, I decided to start from scratch and clean up and get re-evaluated and try a different path. I was put on Suboxone 8mg for about 8 months to treat the addiction. After that, I had no desire to put a pill in my mouth. Suboxone will save your life. Just taking Opana ER 30mg twice a day now."

For Pain "I recently had a back operation and was put on Roxicodone and 20 mg Opana ER. It works very well in my opinion. I am able to move around more and not sleep all day due to pain. I would recommend it for anyone with chronic or severe pain."

For Pain "After failed back fusion surgery L4, L5, S1, nothing would touch the pain until Opana ER. I was taking 20 mg three times daily and have cut back to 5 mg three times daily, with a significant pain increase because I thought I was losing my mind. I seem to have built up a tolerance and either need to increase again dramatically or find something else. I have heard that you can easily build tolerance to Opana. I am your proof."

For Pain "I've got scoliosis and disc herniation. I was taking Vicoprofen 7.5/200 four times a day. It worked great. My Dr. refused to write for it anymore and insisted I take Opana ER 10 mg 2X daily. I went from a $15 co-pay to a $180 co-pay. The medicine seems to do OK with the pain...but the constipation!! Also, I feel very sad and somber on it."

For Pain "I take Opana ER 20 mg twice a day along with Oxycodone 30 mg 3 times a day for breakthrough pain. I think it works wonderfully. I have severe lower back pain all day and all night. If I don't have the Opana along with the Oxycodone, then it just doesn't work well at all. I have tried many other medicines, and this is the one that works for sure."

For Pain "I have spinal stenosis and compressed discs. They said I could not have surgery because of other health issues, so medication was the only alternative. Taking Opana ER, I am able to do things I need to do. I can do so much more than I was able to do before. Before taking Opana, I was in a wheelchair and used a cane. All I could do was lay on the bed or couch. I am now taking 20 mg every 12 hours. This is the only drug that has ever helped me."

For Pain "I've had one back surgery so far, an L5 S1 fusion, which didn't work, and I'm in a lot of pain. I have tried many other pain medications, narcotic and non-narcotic, to try to manage my pain, along with acupuncture and physical therapy. Finally, my doctor gave me Opana (extended and immediate release), and I get such wonderful, much-needed pain relief from them. I still get some breakthrough pain, but these work so much better than anything else I have tried, including oxycontin, and I'm so thrilled."

For Pain "I have trigeminal neuralgia, which is the 'most painful condition known to man,' and Opana ER is the first medication that has ever actually helped with this type of pain. It has worked better for me than any other pain medicine, and it lasts FAR longer than any other extended-release medications I've tried. Because this works better for me, I am able to take a lower dose than other medicines, which means I can function at a much higher rate. Many patients with this condition do not take narcotic pain medication because trigeminal neuralgia does not usually respond well to them. However, for me, this is the first and only medicine that has actually helped with my level of pain, and it has allowed me to have a much higher quality of life!"

For Pain "I had 3 back operations, and on the second one, I had two implants put in my L5 disc. The second and third operations were about 2 1/2 years ago. Since then, I was taking one 30 mg OxyContin 3 times per day and two 10 mg Percocet 3 times per day. Then the OxyContin got reformulated and not only quit helping with the pain but also made me sick. So, after talking with my pain management doctor, he suggested and prescribed 40 mg Opana twice a day along with my Percocet. This medicine worked so much better than the OxyContin. The pain is gone."

For Pain "I am fused from C3 to C7 and from L1 to S1. I have nerve damage because of a botched operation. I have taken this medicine for 3 years. It is the only drug I have been able to take for this length of time and not have to titrate it up. I would take it forever, but my insurance company has decided that I only need two tablets a day. I currently take 2 x 40 mg ER tabs 3 times a day. This was a great medicine for me, and anyone on long-term use should at least try it."

For Pain "I have severe leg and back pain. I have had back and leg pain for quite a few years. In 2008, I fell 25 ft out of a deer stand, which tore both rotator cuffs and caused elbow problems. After 9 operations and physical therapy, I still have pain, which includes back and leg problems. I started on Opana ER and take morphine sulfate for breakthrough. Opana has been a wonderful help, which has helped me be able to function through the day with some normality, which at one point I couldn't do. And now I hear it's going to be pulled off shelves and done away with. Very disturbing."

For Pain "This Opana is an excellent medication! I was taken off of oxycodone 60 mg and am now on Opana ER 30 mg. They work so much better than the oxycodone for my pain, and the euphoric side effects aren't too bad to boot either. I would say that a 20 mg Opana is equivalent to a 40 mg oxy. The thirties are equivalent to about a 60 plus. A very good medicine for pain!"

For Pain "I started out with 10 mg, but the side effects were too much! My doc then put me on 5 mg, which did nothing at all, then bumped me to 7.5. I am starting back on the 10 mg this week because 7.5 mg is alright but not really working as well as the 10 mg did. Now, although the side effects were horrible, the pain relief was great! I am having insurance issues, so unfortunately for the next couple of days, until I can go pick it up, I have to use just my Oxycodone 2x daily as needed for breakthrough pain, and my muscle relaxant. I realized just in one day how much the 7.5 worked more than I realized when my shoulder and neck started throbbing. It is obvious that although it was not as good as the 10's were for pain relief, it worked more than I realized!"

For Pain "My bottom spinal disks are crooked and rest on my nerves between them. I was on 60 mg of Morphine Sulfate ER and took it for years and asked my doctor for an increase, and he switched me to Opana 20 mg ER pills, and they helped my back pain and seem to last a little longer between dosages. I am prescribed it twice a day. I seem to have less tiredness than the morphine, and I am prescribed 5 mg of oxycodone for morning breakthrough pain. Due to my liver condition, he won't increase the oxycodone because it makes the liver turn it into morphine to filter it. When I need an increase of the Opana, I'm sure he'll give me that because it's a form of morphine, and my liver can process it okay. So I hope this helps other people with my condition or similar."

For Pain "I suffer from neck and back issues with my spine, and I have tried many different pain medications and procedures, but the one where I got the most relief is Opana. Sometimes the pain is so bad that Opana or my breakthrough medication do not control it. Maybe 6 to 10 times a week."

For Pain "I normally take generic Opana (oxymorphone) 30 mg, and it works great for my pain. I can function well, such as going to the store, doing light yard work, and enjoying family. But I recently got the brand name Opana (Endo), and it is awful. I'm in so much pain and experiencing withdrawal symptoms. It's been 18 days, and it is still like taking a placebo. My breakthrough oxycodone 30 mg is the only thing keeping me out of the hospital. I've been in bed 90% of the time since taking this Endo brand. I think it's the amount of additive in the medication."

For Pain "When I first started taking this medicine, it was not working, and I was upset that I switched from the Roxicodone 30s. I changed back to my original script, but a new doctor convinced me to try the Opana once again. I took the doctor's advice, and this time it worked-actually quite well. I am virtually pain-free and able to play with my kids again."

For Pain "I have tried many different medications and therapies for my lower back pain to no avail. I switched doctors, and he prescribed Opana 20 mg, 2x a day. It is by far the most effective pain medication I have tried, with the fewest side effects. Once you adjust to the sedation, all that remains is phenomenal pain relief."

For Pain "I have taken many things for my pain. I have had a level 3 spinal fusion and need more back surgery. My doctor gave me Opana and kept me on my oxycodone for breakthrough pain. What a huge relief, and not only that, but the Opana did not give me that high feeling, and I'm able to get around like a human again. I have to say the Opana gave me at least 8 hours of relief, and I was able to sleep and get up the next morning and move, whereas before I woke up so stiff, sore, and could hardly move."

For Pain "I have had two lower back surgeries (L4-L5) and (L5-S1), which has left me with severe pain in both feet and severe sciatica in the left leg radiating down to my left foot. I have tried OxyContin and oxycodone with limited success. Now I take Opana ER 20 mg twice daily with about level 1 to 2 pain instead of the constant level 4 to 5 pain, reaching level 7-8 when the dose wore off."

For Pain "I was placed on this drug when it was first released. I suffer from acute, chronic lower back pain despite three back surgeries including fusion. I was on Vicodin, Dilaudid, methadone, Neurontin, Cymbalta, and Percocet. It was a whirlwind, often chasing my pain. Opana ER 40 mg every 8 hours came out, my pain level dropped considerably, no longer chasing my pain. No longer on Dilaudid, Vicodin, or Percocet. Opana was a godsend for me to manage my pain effectively. I used it for years successfully. The only side effect, at times it made me drowsy. Otherwise, it was great. It totally sucks that abuse/misuse caused people who needed it and used it properly to be sacrificed, penalized for these reasons. I didn't see Vicodin, Dilaudid, Demerol, or morphine discontinued. So now I'm in the same boat I was before just because some moron in the bureaucracy of Washington wanted to make noise and claim he was diminishing the opiate crisis by having this drug discontinued."

For Pain "I suffer from chronic neck/upper back pain due to spinal stenosis, spinal spondylosis, cervical neuralgia, etc. I've had multiple anterior and posterior fusions (C5-C7) and revisions due to pseudoarthrosis (non-fusion). I've been on opioids for 7 years. Due to insurance coverage, my pain doc switched me from Kadian (10 mg 2x/day) to Opana ER (5 mg 2x/day), and I immediately experienced a HUGE increase in pain. I also take Percocet (10/325) for breakthrough pain. I experienced minor withdrawal symptoms, which I thought was odd since I was actually taking slightly more morphine daily. My pain doc explained it was due to how the body metabolizes Kadian. Opana did nothing for me."
