"This medicine caused an allergic reaction on my eyes instead of treating my allergy. My eyes became irritated and red after a few days when I started this eye drop. I had stopped and started this eye drop three times, and it happened every time. I switched to Azelastine eye drop, and I couldn't have been happier."

Olopatadine ophthalmic "This medicine doesn’t work, it is horrible! My eyes are still inflamed, itchy, and irritated. No relief! I have been taking it for 5 days. The problem has not been rectified! Back at the doctor for another solution. Medicine is also overpriced and ineffective. In other words, Pazeo is terrible!"

Olopatadine ophthalmic "Ever since I can remember, my eyes have always itched, and every day, I would rub/knuckle my eyes. I did some research to find out that rubbing your eyes every day can result in permanent vision loss, so I went to the clinic and was prescribed Patanol, and it has worked wonders. I am very grateful for modern medicine. A lot of people are paying an arm and a leg, but I'm in the military, and Uncle Sam takes care of me."

"The trick is to use it just before you go to sleep. This way, it has a chance to work instead of being washed away by blinking when you are awake. It's a bit sticky when you first wake up the next morning, but somehow it works magically the rest of the day."

Olopatadine ophthalmic "This eye drop comes in two strengths, once a day and twice a day. The twice daily worked like a charm for several years-long-term itch, burn, dryness cured! But now it has lost its effectiveness and leaves me with watery eyes and blurred vision. Hope to find something different that works at this point. P.S. People seem confused about pricing... the price is ~$20 now that you can buy it OTC."

Olopatadine ophthalmic "To all who say it does nothing for them. I had the same thought. I used it for a week with very little results. I started to just throw it in the garbage but decided to use it until it was all gone, after all, I had paid for it. After about three weeks, I really started to notice a difference, and when it was almost gone, I had no more problems. My point is, don't give up so soon. Keep using it until it's all gone and then make up your mind. Great stuff, worked for me."

Olopatadine ophthalmic "So many contradictory reviews, but I must say Pataday Extra Strength worked quite well for me. My 70-year-old eyes were VERY red, itchy, and VERY flaky. Never had that before. Doctor recommended trying this. Even though the packaging states once a day, he said twice a day. I noticed an improvement within about 3 days. It has now been a week, and symptoms are virtually gone. A bonus for me is that some occasional blurriness I was experiencing also seems to have improved a bit. I wear glasses but not for everything, so they are on and off all day long. Since using Pataday, I am generally seeing more clearly, especially when watching TV (w/o glasses) or reading (w/glasses). Maybe it is because I am using the Extra Strength."

Olopatadine ophthalmic "Other than price $250, eye drops worked great. My eyes before I took them felt horrid, swollen, itchy, blurry, gritty, etc. Took approx. a week, twice a day, my eyes returned to normal, no side effects."

"Useless. These eye drops do absolutely nothing for me. My eye doctor prescribed them, but really the over-the-counter stuff worked way better. There was more of it per bottle, and it was much cheaper than this useless stuff."

Olopatadine ophthalmic "I started with blurred vision, then headaches, then nausea, stomach issues. I thought I was getting the flu or something. THEN I remembered I was using Pataday, 1 drop per day, at the advice of my eye doctor, stopped using right away as I looked up the symptoms. What the heck, no thanks, I'll stick with lubricant drops. I wish my doctor would have warned me. I feel like the past 4 days were wasted and very uncomfortable for me."

Olopatadine ophthalmic "I have horses, and the dusty hay causes my eyes to swell and itch. This product didn't make any difference, so I bought goggles to wear while handling hay. Always feel like something is in my eye, especially when closed. Price-wise, very cheap where I live in Cyprus, only €2."

Olopatadine ophthalmic "I love Pataday. I disagree with a few negative comments here. I know, at least for me, per year, I no longer am scratching my eyes when I use Pataday. I am grateful. I love it. My eyes are blurry when I first use it for a mere 5 seconds or less. I love how it immediately works. I wake up and no more feel of the 'crust' (conjunctivitis) that I used to have. I am happy. I once paid up to cash/credit $260 to $302.00 for Patanol brand prescribed by an expert allergist, years ago. I had zero complaints. I need real help controlling my allergies each year (spring) end of March or a little sooner than that, throughout May. So now, I regularly (each spring season) use it for 4 to 8 weeks or as warranted. I always have on me a bottle of it. I only use Pataday and I am happy. As the old saying goes, 'You get what you paid for.' I am one who shall splurge if it is for a bottle so tiny (and it is) to a big size for my eyes. I pay $18.50 to $26.00 for Pataday adios."

Olopatadine ophthalmic "I first tried Patanol last year. I had been crying a lot one day, and my eyes felt incredibly dry and irritated afterwards. My roommate, a nurse, gave me a new bottle of Patanol (she had just been switched to another Rx instead) to help my burning eyes. I had never experienced such immediate, profound relief with any OTC dry eye drops, gels, etc. for my dry eye symptoms! Now I have my own Rx, and it still works wonders for my bad dry eyes."

"I have Graves' disease and congestive Graves' ophthalmopathy. My eyelids are swollen already from the congestion. I have problems with the allergens, mold, ragweed, pollen, etc., and eye problems are the worst. The doctor gave me a sample of Pazeo to try. I used one drop in my right eye as it's swollen worse all the time usually. It felt good going in, but in just a bit, my upper and lower eyelids were swollen double in size!!!!! Wow! I guess I won't be using this again, and I was so in hopes of it working for me! Good job I only tried one eye tonight and hope by morning the swelling will have subsided some."

"Olopatadine drops are by far the most effective drop I've ever used for eye allergies. I still suffer with chronic sinusitis, chronic post-nasal drip, and a related cough, but to not have to worry about my eyes is so nice. Before olopatadine, my eyes were constantly itchy, red, swollen, and goopy, and now they're completely fine, as long as I use the drops daily. On really bad days, I use in combination with Alaway drops, but I can count on one hand how many times I've had to do that. Highly recommend."

Olopatadine ophthalmic "When I initially bought it, I was impressed because it didn’t produce the usual burn upon usage. Further along, it didn’t seem to be working. Fast forward a few months when my other drops expired, I used Pataday as needed, and I still don’t get the burn upon usage, but I have noticed that my eye itchiness is less. I also noticed the prices on this product have gone down slightly, although it’s too costly for the amount you purchase."

"I am many years with eye allergies and Patanol used to help me cure this. Until recently, where I bought these expensive eye drops and expected the same results. But too bad, it's either the ingredients changed or it only contains water in it. The allergies stay, and the drops don't do any, I mean any, improvement except make it worse! It sucks! I was in the middle of why this is still happening to me while I am using Patanol?! For 3 weeks, no improvement! Until I used generic anti-allergic eye drops, which cure instantly!"

"I have suffered with allergies and asthma all my life and have tried every eye drop on the market. I was sick to death of having watery, itchy, red, sore, and uncomfortable eyes with conjunctivitis-like discharge. I tried these drops, and I swear they are incredible. It's been 2 days, and my eyes feel brand new. I'm on a combination of Flarex 0.1, a steroid drop for a couple of weeks, olopatadine twice a day, and Systane Ultra every couple of hours as my eyes are very dry. AMAZING, WORTH EVERY CENT."

"First time was yesterday with olopatadine. During the night, I felt pain and discomfort in my left eye. I woke up with the lower eyelid swollen, drooping, and with dark circles in both eyes. Very uncomfortable, but still, I made a second attempt now to see if it reverses the situation. I am also using lubricating eye drops twice a day."

"I don't use olopatadine every day. I've only used it three times since I got it a couple of weeks ago. I noticed my lower eyelid pain, then three days later, the pain is worse with swelling. So I used it for the third time last night, hoping the eye drop will work for whatever was going on. Nothing but more pain and swelling. Couldn't figure out what it was until this forum. I will have to see my doctor or an ophthalmologist tomorrow."

Olopatadine ophthalmic "This worked so well. My allergies caused severe nosebleeds. This helped control them until allergy shots could take over. A decade later, I am not doing more allergy shots, so I use these when allergies occasionally pop up."

Olopatadine ophthalmic "I got an eye exam. All good. My left eye has been weeping for months. I wake up with crust in the corner. Little pimple things too. The doctor recommended Pataday and gave me a $5 off coupon. When I went to get it, it’s on sale for 25% off too. So I got the 2-bottle pack for $24. It’s only a drop in each eye, so I think it’s a fair price because other drops are expensive and don’t work for me. I felt relief all day yesterday. Today is my second day. I am happy so far!"

Olopatadine ophthalmic "My husband bought an over-the-counter small bottle for $21. You use only one drop once a day. The bottle will last. It immediately stopped my horrible itchy eyes. I get this in the spring - allergies galore. I prefer using this to gouging my eyes out because of itch and also aging my eyes when doing so. Just like all reviews for various items. We are not using the prescription type. Perhaps it’s stronger, but this works."

"I started using Patanol 2x per day four days ago. Within three days, my eyes looked back to normal -- no more redness. The drops seem to make my dry eyes a little bit drier, and artificial tears weren't helping much, so for the past two days, I've been using a 0.9% saline wash to rinse my eyes out, and it has helped a lot. One thing that started when I started using Patanol: very vivid dreams! I've been using a sample bottle with 1 ml. When it's gone, I may have to switch to a cheaper OTC since Patanol is so darn expensive."

Olopatadine ophthalmic "Suffering from eye allergy since childhood to date, 30 years plus now, used all sorts of medication plus reading lenses. Discovered Patanol eye drops three years back in one of the pharmacies around town (Kampala, Uganda) working wonders to the extent I no longer use it frequently since I feel much better now. My kid too inherits the same condition, planning to put him too on the same medication. I highly recommend it for eye patients' users."
