Ofatumumab "I have been on Kesimpta for 2 years. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with it. Pros are it was only one jab a month after the initial start-up jabs. Minimally impacts my life, and it’s quick and simple. Cons are that it stings when I do the injection, and I immediately get a 24-hour headache the minute it hits my system. I do get a little more poorly if I get an infection."

Ofatumumab "About to take second dose. I don’t like how I feel on this drug. Migraines are worse. I’m more fatigued. I began the drug because of its ease of taking once a month via self-injection. I wanted to go back to work full time. However, I’m too tired to do the job. Can’t think clearly because I’m too fatigued. Going back to Tysabri."

Ofatumumab "I was diagnosed with RRMS. I've been on Kesimpta for 10 months, it is very convenient and easy to administer. So far, I've had no issues with Kesimpta. My recent full MRI showed no further progression."

Ofatumumab "I just finished my initial doses. All were different, the first dose I got a sore throat, itchy without a rash, went to bed, and woke up with the most excruciating muscle and joint pain I've ever experienced. Dose number two hurt more than the first, my throat was sore and I was again itchy all over without a rash, but no body aches. Dose three was only the itchiness, but I just didn't feel good for about a week. I had all my injections on a Sunday. For the first two, on Thursday, I had some minor vertigo and a short-lived temp increase to about 101 F. I rotated my injections on my thighs, however, with each injection, I felt like I received an injection in my left upper arm. Very weird."

Ofatumumab "I feel that it's been working very well for me. I take it once monthly at home. In the initial build-up phase, I had some very minor breathing tightness and stomach problems, but that ended after I reached maintenance level. Recently, I've had some infections that I haven't felt I needed to take antibiotics for, just working on natural solutions, and they're improving. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the medication; it's easy to take, just once a month at home with no negative aftereffects, and I just go on with my day."

Ofatumumab "Was on Ocrevus for about 3 years, seemed to not be working as well as before, so the doctor switched me to Kesimpta. Just finished my first 3 shots with no real side effects, other than feeling a little tired after the first two. Looking forward to seeing how it works in the future."

Ofatumumab "I have had eight doses, including the loading doses. My side effects have mainly been exhaustion, though I have slowly lost my appetite, and recently felt highly nauseous. My MS symptoms are steadily declining, pain, weakness, stiffness, etc., but without Kesimpta I may be a whole lot worse. The medication needs at least a year to really work too. Overall, without any other real choices, I am happy to keep having the Kesimpta injections."

Ofatumumab "First dose - horrible flu-like symptoms with fever. Tylenol helped. After the first dose, it was better with no noticeable side effects. I have taken it for close to a year. Over time, I realized it is likely triggering heart arrhythmias. I seem to have less pain when I take it. Other than that, I don't know for sure if it is helping or not."

Ofatumumab "I have been on Kesimpta for 6 months, and so far, so good. Have had MS since 2007. Before Kesimpta, I was on Ocrevus for about 9 years until my insurance wouldn’t pay for it. My doctor said Kesimpta was comparable, which it seems to be. Been using a cane the last 4 years but staying the same. Brain fog is less, and a little more fatigue, but life has gotten harder, so may have nothing to do with the drug. Will see and will post an update in a few months."

Ofatumumab "I was very hesitant to try this with all the negative reviews. I know everyone is different, so some will get the side effects and some will not. I treated this the same way I treated Rebif when I was on it years ago. I took an IBP 800, took the shot, and went on with my day. I had no side effects since I took the IBP. If you've ever been on the shots, it's the same, just a smaller needle and I didn't even feel it. I was on Adagio before this for 7 years, and it did well until the end. It made me tired, so I took it at night, and it made my hair thin and nails brittle, but they all seem to do that. I would highly recommend either of these meds. Side effects are not as bad as people describe them as! With Kesimpta, just take Advil or Tylenol beforehand and you'll be fine."

"The initial loading doses had bad side effects for me like fatigue, weakness, headache, nausea, and chills. But the medication had gotten more tolerable over many months. I feel nauseous, hot and cold, and fatigued for about 5 days after my injection, then I feel okay again. It’s been great for my MS - I haven’t had any new lesions on Bonspri/Kempista."

Ofatumumab "I have RRMS, and I recently started KESIMPTA. So far, I love it. I actually feel like it gives me a boost of energy in the days following. I like to take it at night to avoid all of the initial symptoms. I love the ease of doing it myself and all the help I get from the KESIMPTA team."

Ofatumumab "I have finished the 3-week shots. Each time, it did get better. I still get tired on the 5th or 6th day after the shot. I was taken off Ocrevus because getting an infusion all at once was shocking my body, and I have a weak stomach to begin with. In the beginning, I know there will be some side effects until your body gets used to it and trying to work with it. I am hoping this will keep my MS steady. Good luck, everyone. Think positive."
