For Dry Eye Disease "Used Systane Ultra after cataract surgery with devastating consequences. Only just made the connection between my red, very painful eyes and Systane Ultra. Stopped using it today, and guess what... no pain. I have been in agony for weeks with this product."

For Dry Eye Disease "Good Lord. How can you market a product to cure dry eyes, which does the complete opposite? Isn't that fraud? The makers of this stuff better watch out for a class action lawsuit because this stuff is awful, and the company is guilty of false advertising. Have used for only one day, and my eyes are getting worse by the minute. They feel dry, sticky, and sore. Not the least bit moisturized! Just decided to discontinue."

"I used Systane eye drops for my dry eye, and right away noticed that my vision was blurry, so I stopped using them. At the same time, my eyelashes on both eyes fell out. I was puzzled more about the lashes than anything, as it was very concerning. My eyelashes grew back in about 2 months, and one morning I grabbed what I thought was my rewetting drops, only it was the Systane. I put it in one eye when I immediately realized that I used the wrong bottle, and guess what.....in about 2 days, my eyelashes in the eye I used the Systane fell out again!!! Very upset about this!! I threw the bottle in the trash, which is what I should have done in the first place...."

For Dry Eye Disease "I had a routine eye appointment with an optometrist yesterday (Saturday), and he recommended Systane Ultra. I used it twice and can no longer see through my glasses - everything is blurry (Sunday) 24 hours later. I'm not using it again, and I'm going to go see an ophthalmologist tomorrow. I'm worried it damaged my vision; I hope it goes back to normal."

"In preparation for cataract surgery, my ophthalmologist told me to use Systane four times a day. After the first eye was done, I was also told to use it in the operated eye for irritation as needed. So now after repeated use and both eyes getting worse and worse in terms of dryness, irritation, and light sensitivity, I finally had the DUH moment and figured out the Systane was making my eyes miserable. It's now been about 19 hours since I stopped the drops, and both eyes are SO, SO much improved. Maybe this stuff is okay for an occasional dose, but most certainly not repeatedly."

For Dry Eye Disease "I was advised to use Systane Ultra gel for dry eyes. I woke up one morning and my eyes were blood red! I stopped using Systane for a few days, and I was fine. A week later, my eyes became dry during the night, so I used the Systane. Sure enough, the next morning my eyes were blood red again. In the trash is where these drops will go."

"My eyes went from just teary to freaking monster scary bloodshot and tearing even more. Docs must be getting rewards to push this rubbish. I can't believe I just figured it out after using this medicine for almost 4 weeks."

For Eye Redness "I have Sjögren's and extremely dry, inflamed eyes. I have used plugs and a lot of different eye drops, including Restasis. My doctor added FreshKote to my Restasis and Altrex. As badly as it stings, it coats my eye and has provided more relief than the plugs. Unfortunately, I have to change insurance, and it will not be covered, so I will have to pay for it on my own. I highly recommend you try it."

For Dry Eye Disease "Have used Systane Ultra for a few years and found it to be helpful for dry eyes. Since the nozzle of the dispenser has been changed to a flatter design, I find I'm wasting more than using it effectively, even though I follow the dispensing instructions. The drops don't dispense properly as they did with the longer nozzle, with the drops running down the side of the bottle and missing the eyes completely. Hopefully, this problem will be rectified by a change of design back to the original nozzle shape."

For Dry Eye Disease "It took me long enough to notice what the culprit was and thought I should warn others. A few years back, I started using Systane for dry eye comfort, and my left eye got extremely blurry and would not clear. It took months to clear after I stopped using the product, then I was diagnosed with cataracts and had cataract surgery. My eyesight was never so clear until I tried Systane again … guess what? My vision in the same eye got blurred, so I went to see my doctor, who told me laser surgery will clear it… fast forward, COVID hit, so six months passed and it cleared by itself after six months. Not realizing that Systane is the culprit, I used it again two months ago … guess what? Complete blurry vision in my left eye again for two months now and going … I don’t see how they haven’t been in a class action lawsuit yet for blinding people!!!!! Stay far away from this product."

For Dry Eye Disease "I only bought this ridiculous product because my doctor instructed me to use the drops prior to an eye surgery. Just about everything about Oasis is a bad deal. First of all, they are clearly overpriced. 30 little vials for almost $30. You would think that one would be enough to last one day. NOPE! Inside each tiny container, there are only a few drops. When you twist off the top, some of the product oozes out due to the internal pressure. Then when you put the cap back on, more will squeeze out if you don't do it right. Why can't they just package their artificial tears like every other normal company? I can buy Clear Eyes from Walmart for about $2, and the product is 100 times better. My recommendation: DO NOT BUY THIS RUBBISH!"

For Dry Eye Disease "I've been using Blink for a number of years but now need to switch to a preservative-free eye drop. Systane was recommended, so I tried it, and my eyes became very irritated and watery as I added drops and the day wore on. Blink 'reset' my eyes. I am allergic to the active ingredients in Systane, so I began looking for a PF eye drop that had different active ingredients and found Refresh Tears. This was a much better fit for my eyes, and they feel much better. Just because your eyes react badly (allergy) to a particular brand doesn't mean they're bad eye drops, as stated by other reviewers; it just means they're not right for your eyes. The same is true with any medication. What is effective for one person may not be effective for another, even for the same condition."

For Eye Redness "I have been using Restasis drops for approx 5 years, but still suffer from severe dry eyes. My doctor gave me a sample of FreshKote to try. At first, the stinging alarmed me, but within a few minutes, my eyes felt refreshed. These are the first drops that I've actually felt some relief. I haven't had to purchase them yet, but they can't be any more expensive than Restasis drops."

For Dry Eye Disease "This medicine is more effective than Refresh Tears. The dispenser for this medicine is terrible. The dispenser requires extreme squeezing pressure to operate. The dispenser requires the loss of one drop for every application. The loss of one drop out of three drops amounts to wasting 1/3 of the bottle."

For Dry Eye Disease "I just started using the Systane Complete PF today for my dry eye symptoms. The first time I used it this morning, it was fine, but when I used it again this evening, I started to feel bad soreness in the back of my left eye, which is something that I didn't have before using these drops, and it also feels like my eyes are drier than they were before I put the drops in! I think I will be looking for a different drop to help my symptoms."

For Dry Eye Disease "I had both cataracts removed 12 weeks ago. I have always had dry eyes, and the eye surgeon suggested I use the Systane Complete PF (preservative-free) or the Systane Hydration PF (preservative-free). I use the Systane Complete PF 1 or 2 times a day. Works, no complaints. When I wake up, I do need to take a warm washcloth and gently blot each eye with warm water. Have also tried the Systane Hydration PF and have to use it several times a day compared to the Systane Complete PF."

For Dry Eye Disease "I’ve been using Refresh Mega-3, and I felt relief at first. Then, within an hour or less, the stinging begins, itching and stinging. I want to rub my eyes so badly to stop the burn! This too was recommended by my doctor with a coupon. I'm going to stop using it! Going to buy another brand because I do need the eye drops because of dry eye."

For Dry Eye Disease "I am a female 50 who was recently diagnosed with dry eye. I purchased Oasis Tears from them, it worked immediately one drop in each eye. This product worked great for me, and my eyes feel fantastic again. I experienced no discomfort with this product whatsoever. I will continue to purchase (a bit pricey) but a small investment for comfort. My only gripe would be the amount of product in each vial, not much at all."

For Dry Eye Disease "I didn't connect it to the drops, but I have had burning, redness, blurred vision, and floaters since I started using Systane Ultra. I got a new prescription for glasses as I thought my eyesight had changed. I will stop using it today. I have been using this product for the last 6 months, so hope no permanent damage has been done. Avoid. MHRA should also look into the product."

"After using these eye drops twice daily, my vision would be blurred. I didn't think anything of it, the blurriness would last for a few minutes and eventually pass. After using the eye drops for about a month now, my blurred vision has increased, lasting for hours. My eyes are red, sensitive to light, and often feel as if something is in my eyes. I have currently discontinued the use of these eye drops, and hopefully my eyes will self-correct and are not permanently damaged. The side effects of these drops are worse than the initial symptoms I started out with."

For Dry Eye Disease "A year ago, I was given a small bottle sample of Systane for my dry eyes. But I seldom used it, and I observed most of the time my vision is blurry. Recently, after getting a pair of glasses, the optometrist prescribed Systane to me for dry eyes. So I finally bought a twin pack. Been using it on occasional days for 2 weeks and feeling a light burning sensation. On the 3rd week, I used it for 5 days in a row, and on the 3rd day, I started seeing 3-4 gray-black floaters in one eye. On the 5th day, I woke up with too many floaters plus a web-like sticky vision that moves whenever I move my eye from left to right. I went back to the optometrist and relayed about my floaters. She advised me to see an ophthalmologist ASAP. I even asked her maybe it was caused by Systane, and she said no, Systane doesn't cause floaters. But why did I get floaters suddenly after days of using Systane? Why are they prescribing this to people if it causes eye damage? I wish someone would investigate this product."

For Dry Eye Disease "Side effects horrific. Bloodshot eyes, pain, unbelievable itching that almost had my eye surgery canceled. Ophthalmologist claims it is because only the individual applicators are the only ones that are preservative-free, and that is what caused the adverse terrible effects. What was worse, the skin under my eyes was literally burnt to a crisp after using 1 week. Ultra, gel drops, and nighttime gel all caused the same terrible results. Read carefully what Alcon writes: preservative-free is only in the individual packets."

For Dry Eye Disease "I have severe dry eyes due to radiation of the left eye. This is the ONLY eye drops that have really helped. I usually use them twice a day. If I do not, my eyes are very irritated. I am very disappointed because the pharmacy I use has discontinued stocking them because of the cost. Many of my friends have changed to FreshKote, they are worth the extra cost. My sight is worth the cost."

"It's been said, and I'll say it again. Worst dispenser bottle ever! I was using Systane Complete, with no problems. I have zero issues putting drops in my eyes. Post-cataract surgery, Hydration PF was recommended. Systane must love this bottle because everyone is buying twice as much as necessary, considering half the product ends up on my face, not in my eyes."
