For Dry Eye Disease "Switched to Systane Ultra, applied drops several times a day. The drops burned occasionally and caused slightly blurred vision for a brief period after application. After 2 weeks, began to suddenly present symptoms of vertigo, dizziness, and nausea. The first episode lasted 20 hours. After a visit to my cardiologist due to an existing condition, it turns out that the vertigo could be a side effect - and 'dizziness' is listed in the product literature. Will stop using and switch to another preservative-free brand."

For Dry Eye Disease "I have used Systane Ultra, and it does a fairly good job, but then I bought the two-bottle container of Systane Complete thinking it would be even better. Not so. My eyes became irritated, crusty goop on the lids after waking up in the morning. When I stopped using it, my eyes did not have these symptoms."

For Eye Redness "Have been using SYSTANE on and off for a few weeks and have experienced severe redness, swelling, and itching around my eyes. Couldn't figure out at first what was causing it, so narrowed it down to this product and made note when I used it. Sure enough, SYSTANE seemed to be the cause. While using this eye gel and naturally blinking after it is placed in my eyes, some gel gets onto the surrounding skin around the eyes, and it has caused the redness, itching, and swelling. So, be aware of this side effect."

For Dry Eye Disease "I had surgery for a cancerous tumor under my left eye. After it healed from plastic surgery, it became extremely dry to the point I could hardly keep my eye open. I used Thera for years and it did not work. I used SYSTANE BALANCE and I hardly ever feel like something is in my eye. Best drops I have ever used. I put them in 4 times a day."

For Dry Eye Disease "The drops were recommended by my eye doctor, and they're quite good. That is, if you can get them in your eyes. The bottle is hands down the worst dispenser I have ever used, half of the time resulting in these rather expensive drops missing my eye and running down my face. They REALLY need to change the bottle to make it safer and more accurate."

For Dry Eye Disease "Use it to clear my dry eyes and thought it's doing good. But no... I am experiencing blurred vision now. Reading all the reviews, I have proven it is from the use of this Systane Balance eye drop. So sad... instead of helping my eyes, it made it worse."

For Eye Redness "Was prescribed this for dry eyes by optometrist, told to use twice daily. Ever since 1st use, eyes stung and got extremely red, vision got worse, blurry vision, redness, itchy, and sensitivity to light. Did not realize it was this until I stopped use. Was told to use every 2 hours, and vision was getting worse. This product did not work for me."

For Dry Eye Disease "My optometrist suggested I use Systane Ultra in the evening to try to ease my mild dry eye issues. She suggested that we do not produce tears while sleeping and these were more long-lasting than the usual eye drops used for dry eyes. I immediately noticed my eyes were drier and itchier than normal. I would not recommend these drops, have discarded them, and have informed my optometrist of my experience."

For Dry Eye Disease "Two years after an 'outbreak' of dry eye had come and gone, I went to the eye Dr. inquiring about LASEK, and long story short, she told me I should start and continue using eye drops because my dry eye could flare up again, etc., etc. For whatever reason, I listened to this stupid advice and started using Systane, even though I would normally think, 'Why treat it if it's not even a problem?' Well, the first day of using Systane, my dry eye symptoms all came back, and I've been dealing with full-blown dry eye, tearing like crazy, raw in the corner of my eye, and eyelashes falling out from constant moisture and itching all night. THANKS, DOC.! and Systane."

For Dry Eye Disease "My eyes occasionally become dry. I have used many brands of eye drops over the years. I recently purchased Refresh Tears Lubricant Eye Drops (because of a good price). As soon as I put a drop in each eye, my eyes immediately became very red and painfully sore. I have never had such an effect with other brands of eye drops, including Equate."

For Dry Eye Disease "For me and my doctor, Oasis Tears are the best in the market, however, they are extremely expensive. The vials are a disaster, they are difficult to close, and you lose a lot of product, which at the price they sell, is too much. This is the reason I would not recommend them. There are many products in the market that can do a similar job. Don’t waste your money as I did."

"I recently went in for an eye exam and was told my eyes were dry. The optometrist told me to start using Systane Ultra a few times a day. In the first 4 days of use, I've noticed my vision blurred and my contacts bothering me substantially. I've been using the same brand of contacts for years, and nothing else has changed, so it has to be the drops."

For Dry Eye Disease "The product works well for my dry eye, but the new nano droplet design is terrible. I keep missing my eye. The drops run down the side and all over, contaminating the drop. I wasted half the bottle because the drops did not go in my eye."

For Dry Eye Disease "Purchase Systane, and new bottles were half empty, and the label hides the half-filled bottle. It's very misleading. Will never buy again and will look for another brand since there are a lot of other options. No one likes to be fooled, no matter if it's effective. It's not that much better than other brands to justify getting deceived."

For Dry Eye Disease "The tamper-proof applicator is one of the worst applicators ever for eye drops. Not everyone drops the eye drops into the eye by tilting back the head. I pull down the lower lid and place a drop. When using this applicator, you cannot place the drop exactly where you want it to go; so it either runs down the face or misses the face altogether. The tip needs to be a lot more pointed so it is visible when turning the head to the side. I will not buy this applicator again."

For Dry Eye Disease "Horrible vial. You have to squeeze so hard to get the drop to finally fall. Then you miss and waste. I've had to use about 6 different drops in the last year, and this vial is by far the worst design. It causes you to waste these expensive drops."

"Doctor said my eyes were dry and scratched. Said to use Systane. Now my eyes are dry, scratched, puffy, and red. Eyes worse now than before Systane. Will never, ever use this product again. Into the garbage go these overpriced eye drops. They said other drops were all marketing - guess what, my eyes didn't get puffy and red."

For Eye Redness "Using FreshKote is helping drastically, especially at night. I would randomly wake up in the middle of the night feeling like somebody tore the skin off my cornea because my eyelids would stick to my eyes, and FreshKote coat has prevented that. I am also using a humidifier at night and throughout the day in the house to keep my eyes feeling comfortable."
