"I have been experiencing what feels like cuts and rashes on my face, itchy scalp and skin at night, tight headaches, and itchiness around my lips and eyes. These 'vitamins' need to be taken off the shelves immediately. I couldn't figure out what was happening, I figured it was a reaction to an old foundation but realized these supplements had been something new in my routine. I will no longer be taking these and have been using Neosporin to help with the rashes. Just wash them with Q-tips and apply the ointment on like three times a day. It helps."

"I have only been taking this for about a week and have been experiencing very severe stomach pains and diarrhea. However, I think it could just be cleaning out my system? Still, vitamins are about the only weight loss option I have, as it is the only one that truly works. I have been far less munchy, so I think this is good."

"Do not buy this. I have been using it for a couple of days, and every day I’ve taken this, I’ve woken up with massive cystic pimples. I’ve never had this issue. This product does the exact opposite of what it claims."

"I took these after I had my son in March 2016. I was losing so much hair, I was going bald. These made my hair grow so fast, and they tasted so good. I took them for about two months with no problems at all. My hair grew, my nails were stronger, a 10/10, so I decided to buy these again now in September 2017, and the taste is awful. When I take them, I get nauseous right away, and my head feels like it’s about to explode. My stomach feels full of water or bloated, it’s a weird sensation. It really sucks because I was really looking forward to taking these again."

"I started taking the Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails pills, followed the directions (3 pills per day), and have broken out in red bumps that itch, turn into a rash, and then turn dry and flaky all over my body, even my scalp. It took me getting a biopsy from a dermatologist to figure out it was these pills! DO NOT take these! Like the other posters have stated, these should be taken off the market."

"Do NOT take these!!!!! I just took them for a few days, and I was throwing up constantly and had a severe headache every day that was unbearable. I did not expect them to be the vitamins, but when I ended up in the ER, the doctor said my vitamin A and B levels are way too high."

"I, like many others, could not understand why I was developing a rash on my arms. Well, needless to say, do not take these vitamins. They worked for a nail I need to grow back, but the rash is not worth it. Urine and bowel movements will smell horrible. Migraines definitely increased. These are absolutely horrendous. -10 stars if I could!!"

"I developed hives on my arms and chest. I wondered if it was due to this B12 supplement by Nature's Bounty I take oral pill. I switched to a sublingual product and had no problem. That vitamin needed a refill, and I had another Nature's Bounty in my closet, so I tried it again. Hives after the first dose, I ruled out every med and supplement. It’s definitely this product. I decided to Google it and came upon this site, my ah-ha moment. I plan to call them regarding this issue as I want my money back and to make sure they get comments regarding this product."

"I had bought 2 bottles of this supplement. I took just one a day instead of the recommended dosage of 3 a day. I'm glad I did that because with just 1 pill, I felt a severe headache. I still finished both the bottles, and then I started getting palpitations, chest pain, and dizziness. This remained for months and months. Never taking this supplement at any cost. I'd rather drink coconut water to lengthen my hair."

"I was skeptical at first when my doctor prescribed Metanx. It's true I had some numbness, tingling, and stabbing pains in various places. But my main concern was the lower back - it often hurt so much on a daily basis that I couldn't walk. I couldn't sleep. So why did she seem so intent on giving me this vitamin substance? She knew exactly what she was doing. I've taken this script for 34 days and am so grateful for it. My back pain is 90% better, and I can walk again. The various stabbing pains and tingling - much better. I feel more alive than I have in a year. No side effects that I'm aware of. One tablet a day. As long as this is available, I will never be without it. I hope this review helps whoever reads it."

"Have been taking this brand and other similar brands to combat my thinning hair loss and nail issues. It seems each time I go back to taking these (usually gummy version), my hair and nails seem worse? It seems no matter what brand I try, it is always the same! So done! No more! I’d rather have what I had before than take these supposed hair/nail “vitamins” and get worse results! Be careful, ladies! Do not waste your $ like I did!"

"I started taking this as a multivitamin and to help with my skin. Been consistent for a few days now and have started noticing tightness and swelling of my throat, as well as a severe headache. Symptoms have gotten progressively worse, and then I remembered this vitamin I had been taking. These are going in the trash, and I will not recommend to anyone."

"I never thought to research vitamins. October 2020 was my first bout with COVID (lasted 2.5 months), 2nd bout of COVID March 2021, then 2 back surgeries. My hair is falling out by the handfuls. My sister has used these for 4 years and suggested I try them. I took 2/day with breakfast for 3 weeks. I experienced severe gas/bloating, horrible stomach pains, insomnia, extreme fatigue, headaches, my voice is hoarse, an awful taste in my mouth, and a tingly tongue (that should’ve made me think something was wrong). I’m discouraged because I’m getting sicker and didn’t know why. I started reading reviews. Amazon reviews were good, then I found this website. Thank you to those who have written in. I stopped them today and hope I can feel better soon. I bought these gummies from Amazon. There was no expiration date, an odd color, and they stuck together. My side effects are different. DO NOT TAKE THEM."

"I have noticed a slight difference in my skin’s texture in just 1 week. It feels a bit firmer and more supple, my hair is softer and my nails are stronger. "I started taking this vitamin because my hair was rapidly falling out. Two weeks I have been on the vitamin, and for the entire two weeks, my stomach was extremely upset. Diarrhea, upset stomach, sore throat, and skin rashes occurred. I have never had any allergic reaction, or even side effects to medication or vitamins, until this. To top it all off, I have noticed not a single change in hair, skin, or nails. Be wary of this product, and at the very least, keep an eye out for symptoms."

"I only lasted 4 days on the gel caps, never again. Immediately after taking the recommended dosage, I felt horribly nauseous. I thought I was just getting sick, so I continued to take them. I have never been so nauseous in my entire life, and it also leaves a horrible taste in your mouth. Do not buy this product!"

"I started taking these almost 2 years ago. At first, I didn't notice much. After a few months of taking them, I started noticing daily SOB, bloating, vertigo, and severe headaches 3-4 times a week (around the same time each day). I talked to my doctor about these symptoms, I got no answers other than I may have indigestion. I am relatively healthy, exercise each day, and eat healthy, etc. For me to be having these issues is a bit unusual. I started looking into my diet more, my environment, and my daily activities. I could not come up with anything other than these vitamins. After coming on here and reading the other comments, I stopped taking them immediately. It's been 8 weeks and I have not had a single issue. I am so happy that I figured this out. No, I do not take any other medications, so there was no reaction to address. And yes, I drink plenty of water (that is ALL I drink). I also took these with each meal. STAY AWAY FROM THESE! THEY SHOULD BE PULLED OFF THE SHELVES."

"I started taking Nature's Bounty Hair Skin and Nails about 8 months ago. I experienced an itchy scalp and did not connect this to the supplement. About 3 months ago, however, I began experiencing severely painful itchy arms that dermatologists were unable to identify. After exhausting all treatments (steroids, Benadryl, antihistamines, allergy creams, etc.), I consulted another doctor who helped me journal and identify supplements and/or changes to my diet just prior to the itchy conditions. We identified that I started this supplement 2 weeks before the itchy scalp symptoms began. This has been an absolutely horrible experience for me. I have spent hundreds of dollars on doctors, lotions, creams, antihistamines, etc. Also, some random headaches and stomach pain that I had not experienced previously, but the worst of my side effects is the itchy, painful arms that nothing but ice relieves."

"I tried the Lipo-Flavonoid Plus for tinnitus for the first time, took 2 caplets in the morning after eating. The ringing was low before taking it, and within the hour after, the ringing went louder than ever, and I could feel my blood pressure going up, then got a headache. I have hypertension. I don’t think I’ll take any more."

"Postpartum hair loss: The 2nd day of taking this, I had a bad headache, but I get them occasionally, so I didn't connect the two. The 3rd time, I woke up at 4 am and had severe hives covering my body. I took two Benadryl and waited an hour or so. It helped relieve the itching, but my throat began to swell, and it was difficult to breathe. My husband took me to the ER, and I was given steroids and Pepcid. Finally, the hives went away, and I felt better, so I was discharged and slept for like 4 hours. Woke up with a headache, so I took more Benadryl, which the doctor advised. All this to say, I will not be taking it anymore. I'll wear a scarf until my hair grows back! Not worth it! Plus, they smell so bad, and one night I kept belching that awful taste."

"I have been taking Rexall Super Plenamins Plus for many, many years. I feel better almost immediately. If I go off and try something else, I immediately go back to Rexall Super Plenamins Plus. I do this because with other vitamins and minerals, I start to drag through my day. I moved 55 miles north and don't know where to find a store that sells Rexall vitamins. Hence why I'm on this computer site. Thanks."

"I take it daily, it grows my nails and hair. You can see the results with fingernails almost within the first few days of taking this product! If you are expecting it to regrow hair, then you need obviously another product. This product helps grow hair and make it shiny, but I doubt you can get hair back once lost with this product. This product doesn't thicken nails but helps them grow, and I just love the effects! Highly recommend to keep hair shiny and nails growing long!"

"Like everyone, wish I had seen this before being on 3 pills per day for about 8 months. I too developed little bumps just here and there. Over the months and too much itching, I am covered with sores. The dermatologist put me on an antibiotic and creams to use. BUT, they just won't go away. The doctor is going to biopsy on my next appointment. Found 7 new bumps on my leg just this morning. I'll stop taking the pills as of today, July 21st, and update if things change. Anyone else experience weight gain?"
