I stopped taking this Estroven for one month and retested my liver enzymes, and they were already six points lower. Please be aware of this when you’re taking this medication."

For Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I was told to take PreserVision AREDS 2 after an eye exam where the doctor thought he saw early possible macular degeneration in one eye. I took them every day and was noticing that my sight seemed to be deteriorating, and I had more floaters. My eyes seemed tired more after playing piano or reading. Then I ran out and spent a few days without them. My vision improved greatly! Less floaters and I was more able to focus on different tasks. I just played piano without my glasses! Go figure. I have to talk at my appointment in June, but I don't think my body likes them."

For Dietary Supplementation "I only took it for two weeks. I thought I'd found the miracle cure to hot flashes, and it was worth the stomach aches and diarrhea. But then I noticed an unusual weight gain in the center of my stomach. I have never carried weight here. I've only fluctuated 5 pounds in the last 25 years and always had a flat stomach or within a week of running of getting it back to flat. Once I realized this wasn't temporary, I realized it was the pills. I went on Amazon to see if anyone else had a similar reaction, and one of them wrote EXACTLY the same thing in the same way I'd say it - it was like a baby had formed. Despite discontinuing immediately and only taking 15 pills, my stomach is NOT back to normal. I'm here because I continue to investigate just how it happens. Despite reading somewhere that immediate discontinuation will stop whatever side effects, I don't see that being the case yet. It is NO FUN at all carrying weight in the center of my stomach. I run, and even my running feels worse."

For Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "Trying to use this product, bad nausea, unable to take 2 per day as recommended. Tried Vitalux - body can't handle them, stomach problems continually with both medications. Don't see any difference to eyesight. Have Drusen, which I was told could be a sign of age-related macular degeneration, but some articles read say you can have them with no degeneration. Thinking of stopping this medication, at least going to talk with the doctor when I see him in June."

For Dietary Supplementation "This has been the only thing I found to help my out of control hot flashes, night sweats, etc. It really took the edge off and allows me to cope with menopause. There were times when I just wanted to die, and this saved my life. But give it time. It probably took about 2-4 weeks of daily use before I noticed a lessening of my symptoms. Hang in there. It works."

For Dietary Supplementation "I have been having very bad hot flashes due to menopause. I could not lose weight and wanted to eat everything that I could get my hands on. I started taking Estroven, and my hot flashes have been cut in half, and I've lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks. I've been taking Estroven for 22 days. For Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "Within 3 months of starting Centrum Silver, my skin around my neck in front and towards my shoulders became very red and irritated. I tried a prescription gel on them, but that didn't help. Tried not taking the vitamin, and within 2 months, the irritation went away along with most of the red coloring. I am a 64-year-old male in good health and have never had any of these issues before. I may try starting to take these vitamins again to see if the irritation returns."

For Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "Just a tip for anyone having issues with nausea while taking this product: I was experiencing the same issue, and I switched to the chewables. Ever since then, I have never felt it again! I think something in the pill's gel coating causes that feeling. Hope that this helps!"

For Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I need to WARN all people out there that this multivitamin can develop depression. I have never diagnosed depression before, and 2 days after taking this, I developed a terrible 'sad/down' mood which I never felt before. I called PFIZER to explain this to them, and they told me Centrum has no side effects at all... really? I did my research and found out about 4K cases were reported on side effects, being one of them major depression. I took it ONLY for 10 days, and it was the worst 10 days of my life. I had been through some bad stages in my life, yet never been depressed. The day after I took Centrum, I had these horrible feelings of discouragement. I stopped the medication today and hope to go back to normal very soon."

I have noticed you have up the percentages on some ingredients to 100% or more on some things. I am now having an upset stomach, and I think it may be related to the vitamin. I take it with food. I also take extra C, D, B12, Magnesium. I am at a loss as to which it might be. I wish you had left it alone. I may have to change."

For Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "This morning when I woke up, I thought, “Why am I waking up daily feeling tired and unrested, and why am I experiencing nightly, negative, and complex dreams?” Tried to determine what’s new in my life — no new meds, no dietary change, no new vitamins — wait — I started taking this Bausch + Lomb pill due to cataract growth in both eyes. Recommended by a friend. Decided to research side effects, which led me to this website/postings. I swear God is doing the leading! After reading a few, I realized that I had experienced several of the same symptoms. Nausea? Check! Stomach cramps? Check! Diarrhea? Check! Blurry vision? Check! The first symptom was definitely nausea, and there was no logical explanation for it. Prior to finding this website, I didn’t take the morning dose today and decided to stop them entirely for a couple of weeks. After reading every single post, I’m not swallowing another. They’re going back to Costco!"

For Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "The new Centrum Silver for 50+ with a new formula of higher vitamin C and zinc has more side effects on me than the previous ones. Why did they change it? The vitamin does give me more energy and sharpness, but I found out that it causes me to have itchy rashes and allergies too. I found out after I stopped taking it for a week and then took it again to see if it is the one causing it. Sometimes these supplements will do more harm than good."

For Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I took this drug for about 7 years, and during that time, I felt almost constantly unwell with stomach pain, gastritis, fatigue, hand bruising, nausea, and more. I had many tests, but doctors could not figure out what was causing my problems. Finally, one doctor suggested that I stop taking PreserVision AREDS 2 for 2 weeks, and within 3 days, I felt so much better...even my hands stopped bruising. I think it's the massive amount of zinc (80 mg) that one gets each day with the 2 capsules that caused my problem. Now I'm taking lutein and trying to get more zinc in my diet. There should be more information available about the pros and cons of this vitamin!"

For Dietary Supplementation "Well, I'm only going through menopause due to a total hysterectomy I had to get back in 2010 and have been having terrible hot flashes. Yes, it works, but I started taking it in March of 2015. I was 152 lbs, and as of today, I weigh 180. It causes weight gain! I run and work out every day. Prior to all this, so everybody says it looks good, but watch out, that's a side effect (weight gain)!"

My optometrist has done tests because I have fair skin and blue eyes, which normally means more likely to have macular degeneration, and the latest test showed improvement."

For Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I am a senior. When I got an eye test, the doctor told me I had little inklings of this, that, and the other, but that I still had 20/20 vision. He recommended PreserVision AREDS 2. When I received the bottle, I looked at the 'ingredients' on the back and dosages. I was very surprised at the amounts of zinc, especially. So I got on the internet and looked up what the FDA's daily recommendation was for zinc. According to what I read, the level of zinc is at the toxic level. That scares me. Taking one pill a day seems like the maximum the FDA says is enough. Taking two pills a day puts the amount well over the safe recommendation. I will only take one pill a day to hopefully avoid any of the side effects. I will do more investigating. There has to be something else.."

For Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "Purchased Ocuvite Eye Vit & Min supplement Adult 50+ for $19.97 at Walmart for my age-related dry eyes. I (and most of the human population) need to supplement for age-related dry eyes. I want to nourish my eyes because they give me the world! Exp date 2019-09 box read: 'minigels' and 'soft gels.' Opened box and bottle to find: quite large and quite hard to the touch, deep red-colored pills---NOT 'minigel,' not 'soft gel'! OK, took one on faith and with hope. Five hours later, found myself sick as the proverbial dog overnight! Wasted $19.97. I am retired from 30+ years in nursing/healthcare and NO, I do NOT have the flu nor food poisoning lol."

Took recommended dosage for 2 more days and still became very nauseous. I have glaucoma and was hoping this would help. Also, my vision has become blurry, my left eye is sensitive to light, and I had muscle weakness, hot flashes, and night sweats. This stuff is horrible. For Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "My mom was prescribed this medication for her macular degeneration. She was 84 at the time. Poor thing, the first night she took one pill, she was doubled over in so much abdominal pain she couldn't sleep at all. I couldn't imagine why something for your eye would cause some abdominal pain. However, it was the only thing she had taken differently when the pain started. So we knew it was that. A few weeks later, I decided to try it myself. I had such intense cramping in my abdomen, I couldn't even stand up straight. So based on the reaction my mother and I got, this medication dose is too high for people to take. They need to figure out the dose that will still work to help with the eye diseases, but doesn't cause you to double over in agony from abdominal pain!"

For Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "Been taking Bausch & Lomb AREDS 2 for one week. I have experienced more than normal acid reflux and lots of belching. My eye floaters have become more noticeable. I have experienced an increase in blurry vision, but the worst side effect is severe tightness in my lower back. I thought maybe I had hurt my back or had somehow gotten a kidney infection. Now, after reading other reviews, I'm pretty sure the problem is related to these PreserVision vitamins. I am going to stop taking them immediately."
