Mirabegron for Urinary Incontinence "I am 44 and suffer from constant waking at night to urinate and have to push down to get all the urine out. I am constantly in the bathroom during the day. The urologist wasn't sure what was going on after the cystoscopy, just that I have a small bladder. He gave me 3 weeks of samples, and I'm into the 2nd week. I read it takes several weeks to see effects, so I'm not sure when it will help because it hasn't yet. I suffer from migraines, and I have been getting mild headaches most every day. I am at the point where I want to self-cath before bed to get all the urine out and avoid frequent waking. I'm gonna finish up the week and a half I have left, but so far, no results. If the headaches continue, I will not be filling a prescription. I am at the point that I would rather self-cath before bed and drink less water during the day. I will rate again at 3 weeks."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "Only interested in men's experience. Just started taking it for nighttime nocturia issue. I did wake with a headache after 2 days, so will go until things get worse. Nighttime wake-ups were pretty bad, so I'm hoping side effects are tolerable. Worried my urination won't shut down."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "I was in constant pain caused by OAB spasms causing friction on bladder walls. Three days on this med almost completely stopped my pain. A month later, still nearly pain-free but having frequent, daily headaches and calf cramps nearly every night (even with potassium supplements). Love the medication, not enjoying the stress effects."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "Started taking 25 mg, then after about 6 weeks was increased to 50 mg. Started having the world's worst headaches, sinus pain, earache, heart palpitations, and very elevated blood pressure. Primary care had me stop immediately. Only been off for one day and still have headache and sinus pain. Will never take again. Overpriced and never worked well for my frequency."

For Urinary Frequency "This worked almost straight away for my OAB. However, the side effects were horrendous. Dangerously high blood pressure, severe headache, sore throat, mouth ulcers... never again. I tried the lower dose (25), but the side effects were the same..."

For Urinary Incontinence "I started taking this just before I started on a 40-day overseas trip. On the plane, I had a need to open my bowels too often, I lost my appetite and felt quite weird. Because I wasn’t eating much, I felt weak. The next day, I felt pressure in my head, not exactly a headache though, just a thick head. Thought I must have eaten something bad or had caught COVID or some other disease. Also, my wee was reduced. I finally realized it might have been the mirabegron and stopped taking it. Felt better after a few days of stopping it."

For Urinary Frequency "Tight chest, faster heart rate, which caused insomnia and severe headaches. Have been taking this drug for nearly a month. No improvement in condition. STAY AWAY FROM IT. To my mind, it is a dangerous drug."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "I'm a 43-year-old female. Took Myrbetriq 50 mg for 2 weeks only and had to stop it. My urologist had given me 4 free weeks to try it. He is still trying to figure out why I'm unable to empty my bladder fully, and he thinks my sensation of bladder fullness is a symptom of OAB. So, he prescribed Myrbetriq. Since day one, the med eliminated the sensation of my bladder being full all the time, which reduced the number of times I felt I needed to go to the restroom to pee considerably. However, I started developing terrible side effects that I did not have before: headache, abdominal pain at night that did not allow me to sleep, constipation, back pain, dizziness. This medicine is expensive, and my insurance does not cover it. Due to the terrible side effects and given the uncertainty that this medicine is what I need to help me void better, I decided to discontinue this med and wait for my doctor to prescribe something different for me."

For Urinary Frequency "I've always experienced frequent urination, particularly annoyingly at night. Recently, it has coupled with nighttime anxiety to perpetuate sleep maintenance insomnia. I gave Oxybutynin a try, but the dry mouth was unbearable. Mirabegron, however, isn't any better in terms of side effects. After one day, I have a cold and headache, and am dealing with highly unpleasant urinary retention. I can't continue. I recommend stringent 3 to 4 hour fluid restriction prior to bedtime and Desmopressin for anyone dealing with nocturia. They will help at least a little. But the anxiety must be dealt with as well to fall back asleep upon awakening."

For Urinary Frequency "Mirabegron started to lessen OAB (overactive bladder) symptoms right away for me, although I had been doing the Kegel exercises for several weeks prior and continued while taking Mirabegron. OAB symptoms continued to lessen, but after two weeks, the tightness in the chest started, along with irregular heartbeat and subtle headache at times. Morning coffee really exacerbated symptoms. I didn't like the feeling at all, and stopped Mirabegron after a month. Relying on the pelvic floor muscles to take over."

For Urinary Frequency "This is my second attempt at taking Betmiga. The first caused massive headaches and really high blood pressure. My docs were convinced it was an interaction with MS drugs problem. But no, exactly the same happened this time. Taking a triple dose of blood pressure meds now to try to control my blood pressure, which has rocketed. As well as the infections, mouth ulcers, headache, etc., it’s not been a fun experience. Be careful with this drug. Those few weeks of not peeing so much were not worth this pain."

For Urinary Frequency "Perfectly healthy 54-year-old female. Taking Mirabegron for approx 5 months and had been experiencing palpitations and scary breathing issues like shortness of breath, so much so that I was almost having a panic attack. A scary time, but I never linked it to this drug until...drum roll...In the dentist's chair, seconds after local anesthetic, I had excruciating head pain, couldn’t breathe. I thought it was the end of me. Blood pressure through the roof, ended up in A&E and had a brain scan, neck blood vessel scan, and they wanted to do a lumbar puncture, which I declined. I got discharged 3 days later with a diagnosis of migraine. I also had been experiencing knuckle joint pain and swelling but actually blamed my age as just one of those things, it has eased now since I have stopped taking it. I told my urologist about my traumatic event, and he just said, 'Oh, you’ve been through the wars, you’ve had a bad reaction to the adrenaline in the local anesthetic,' and told me to keep taking it. No chance!"

For Urinary Incontinence "I have been taking 50 mg tabs for approx. 2 months. It has never helped my bladder urgency...seemed to make it worse. The side effects I developed were very dry, flaky, peeling skin, which I never had, frequent headaches, ringing in the ears, runny nose, also unusual for me, and a UTI, which I never had an issue with for years. I told the doctor I didn't like this medication, however, she wouldn't replace it with another. Well, I have stopped taking it...my decision!! You know your body better than anyone and know what it is telling you...aka your GUT feeling!!!"
