For Vertigo "I was having problems feeling lightheaded and dizzy for about 2 weeks for no apparent reason. Meclizine knocked the dizziness and lightheadedness right out- no problem. But now I feel like I'm going to fall over because I'm so tired. I took one before bed last night and I've been feeling the effects all day long."

Bonine (meclizine) for Motion Sickness "I learned to sail keelboats 8 years ago. I love it, but am prone to seasickness. I tried ginger initially but that was ineffective. Then a friend suggested Bonine and I have used it ever since. I don't feel drowsy while sailing, but on the drive home after sailing and all the next day I can be very drowsy. To combat the drowsiness I tried reducing my dose, I now take 1/3-1/2 a tablet each time I go out (once or twice a week), increasing the dose up to 1-1/2 tablets if I expect rough seas. Over the 7 years of twice a week use, I have only had trouble twice in stormy 6 ft seas. Highly recommend, but figure out your best dose. I have taken it for up to 10 days continuously without ill effects."

For Nausea/Vomiting "Was prescribed meclizine for nausea/ dizziness that started due to a viral infection. It definitely helped in my experience completely stop any of the symptoms I had, only thing worth noting in my experience is that it definitely made me wanna lay down and sleep."

For Vertigo "I have had 2 cases of vertigo and both times ended up in the ER. I was given Meclizine and it takes about an hour to work, meanwhile, I am unable to stand up and vomiting at the same time. I had one case of vertigo at work at 2 am and had to be dropped off at ER. Meclizine does work, but it's too slow to take effect. I can't lose many more nights at work or I'll be fired. I need something that works faster."

For Vertigo "I couldn’t even stand/walk without feeling dizzy. Took this and about an hour later I didn’t feel dizzy anymore! Yay! But it DID make me feel drunk. Felt drunk with the vertigo, but felt MORE drunk with the pills! But it made the dizziness go away, so I’m happy"

For Vertigo "Three weeks ago I went to the Hospital with light headed, dizziness, my heart was beating fast the left side of my body was numb, I was not able to get out of bed due to no control of my legs and my vision was blurry and out of focus. I had a cat scan, an MRI, blood work and EKG and I was there for a week. Final outcome was that in my MRI they saw something on my left side of my face but that my right side was cleared, I had no blockage or any kind of clots the Dr. told my husband and I that he thinks that I had a mild stroke and the outcome of it is Vertigo... He prescribed me Meclizine 25MG 3x a day my symptoms are still there face still gets numb, blurry vision, my hands shake a lot, I get dizziness and some mornings I have not been able to get out of bed due to not being able to control my motions. What I can say is taking this medicine helps me out, I am not going to tell you that it fixes it but it eases and makes it easier for me to cope with Vertigo and my daily routine."

Antivert (meclizine) for Nausea/Vomiting "I have used Antivert for seasickness and it may be the only thing I've used that really works. The over the counter medications for car sickness did not work for me. Also the medicated pad you wear behind the ear (scopolamine, I think) litterly puts me out for hours -- maybe you could cut a small piece. Antivert also makes me sleepy, but less than the others. My friend has vertigo and uses it for that with success. It has to be prescribed, however."

For Vertigo "Just started taking meclizine for an episode of vertigo I had yesterday. Still feeling a little off balance and dizzy, but at least the room isn't spinning and I don't have the falling sensation. Went to the doctor today to run some tests, but since I started the Bonine yesterday, the tests were inconclusive, since they couldn't trigger the vertigo. Looks like this medicine works. I am sleepy though, but am still having trouble sleeping, guess it's just being anxious that it might happen again. Also, reading/typing triggers more dizziness. Doctor said to continue on the meclizine for 2 weeks and it should take care of itself. If not, to return to him, for further testing."

Bonine (meclizine) for Motion Sickness "We are cruisers and have been on many since 1980. My doctor at the time told me to try Bonine, and it has gotten me through many a rough sea and I'm always able to enjoy myself. I have forgotten to take it twice and each time got motion sickness. So I always recommend it to family, friends and other new cruisers."

For Vertigo "meclizine made me feel more off balance was prescribed this for dizziness. It makes me feel like I'm going to fall over. Will have to cut the dose in half and see how that works. I have BPPV so I'm hoping physical therapy helps again."

Bonine (meclizine) for Motion Sickness "My youngest son gets carsick after being in the car for 30 minutes. I discovered these tablets and give him a half of a pill an hour before we leave as directed, and he's golden. He does not experience drowsiness and acts like his normal self. Trips have become manageable now and I don't cringe with the puke bucket."

Bonine (meclizine) for Motion Sickness "I wanted to take a helicopter ride while on a trip to Kauai. I have a horrible history of motion sickness. Someone suggested Bonine so I tried that. I not only made it through the entire 90 minute ride, but I actually enjoyed it and didn't once have the horrible motion sick feeling. "

For Vertigo "I fly often but this last trip I woke up the next day with dizziness anytime I lowered my head. Difficult since I work on the computer all day and meet with clients so I am up and down all day. My doctor prescribed it 3 times a day and that is fine as I am on the 5th day and still get dizzy. I wake up a lot at night feeling like I have to relieve my kidney's. This is more often then before I took meclizine HCL. I do have dry mouth but no real side effects. "

Bonine (meclizine) for Nausea/Vomiting "A friend of mine told me to take Bonine because I have horrible morning sickness. I'm pregnant with my third child and it's an awful thing to have to chase after two kids with morning sickness! It worked wonders for me. I would tell everyone to at least try it!"

Bonine (meclizine) for Motion Sickness "Bonine is a game changer!!!! My husband & I have a 28 ft boat which my husband loves offshore fishing!! But I get terrible sea sickness! Even if it's less than a foot! Tried Dramamine and it never worked I would be green in less than an hour!! But then I discovered Bonine "God Sent" took 1 pill! The chewable & lasted all day fishing! Not too mention it was rough seas about 2 1/2 to 3 feet!! It was amazing!! So I'm sold definitely a Bonine fan. It was a game changer for me! This stuff truly work."

For Vertigo "I acquired light induced vertigo after visiting a Christmas shop that contained a whole room filled with brightly lit trees. I am extremely dizzy and nauseous if I do not take meclizine 3 times a day. I have absolutely no side effects but I am concerned about the long term effects from the meclizine."

For Vertigo "Had a bad neck adjustment and was taken to hospital to make sure it wasn't from a stroke that I got very dizzy. They said it was not and gave me this for the vertigo. I took half (12.5mg) the next morning when intense spinning started and it seemed to help and then 4 hours later spinning again :( so I took a whole 25 mg pill and though it did make the spinning stop I've been out of it ever since. I feel tired, off balance just "off" and strange in general and haven't gotten out of bed all weekend. I'm going to try a more natural remedy and exercises next."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I get horrible nausea when I have migraines, the symptom ends up being worse for me than the actual head pain. I usually just tough it out but I remembered that my doctor had prescribed me meclizine when I first started having them and it worked great back then. Within a few minutes of taking this, I could breathe again! I get really bad anxiety when it comes to vomiting so my blood pressure went down too. Definitely going to be a regular in my medicine cabinet."

For Vertigo "I'm a little worried the drug seems to help me perfectly with my vertigo. But it makes me ridiculously sensation of being drunk - I don't mean I'm drinking and mixing with alcohol. I have a very severe reaction the original Dramamine which did this to me which is ironic because that's why it's not prescribed to most people. But this stuff makes me drunk and I haven't seen any similar experiences."

For Vertigo "I took 5 doses of this medication - it made me sleepy which made it difficult to function. I was unable to drive myself and concentrate at work. I also developed a rash on my neck. I was instructed by the pharmacist to stop taking the medication, take a Benadryl and apply an over the counter cortisone on the rash. The rash went away within two days but I still have vertigo. I am being told that there is no other medication that can be prescribed."

Bonine (meclizine) for Nausea/Vomiting "Although bonine does not take all of the nausea away, it takes it away enough to avoid vomiting when the stomach bug is running its course. Although not indicated for gastroenteritis (aka "stomach flu"), I have used it on many occasions as I own a business; and any day not at work is lost income. Note- Dramamine, another motion sickness medicine, works even better in my opinion."

For Vertigo "They also gave me 5 mg Valium for night time so I don't feel like I am falling out of bed . The 2 together seem to really do the trick but they had only written me a 7 day supply, so on the 12th day vertigo came back. This time Doctor gave me the meclizine and no Valium. Hope it works well alone. I get so scared when I have an episode."
