For Bowel Preparation "I took 2 Dulcolax tablets the day before prep, which worked fast. Day 1 Prep: ate a light breakfast. 2 PM bone broth, and jello. Took nausea medication with an anxiety medication. 4 PM began clear liquids. Premixed Suprep with water and topped it up with a bit of Ginger Ale. Refrigerated. 6 PM Dulcolax and began prep. Straw, plugged nose, took 3-5 big sips, sucked Italian ice pops, swished, and swallowed. Continued steps till done in 30 mins. 7 PM started water, 30 mins to finish the water. 8 PM bathroom, sipped orange Gatorade, Ginger Ale, and chicken bone broth. 11 PM bed. Alarm 3 am took meds. Alarm 5:30 am. PART 2: Cold orange Gatorade mixed with Suprep because nurse review here says it's your friend. She is right! Desitin and aloe wipes are as well! 6 am more water. 7 am bathroom. 9 am prepped. 1 more final pit stop LOL ready at 10:30 am scope. I've done lots of colonoscopies, and Suprep is the easiest I've done! Plug your nose. Use a straw and have a clear yum to taste after chugs. If you get nausea easily or acid reflux, ask the doctor for some nausea meds. As the GI doc said, 'the worst part is over'! :) Will use this again! TY Suprep!"

For Bowel Preparation "I read a lot of the experiences on here. I will admit I got freaked out by a lot of them. However, this prep was no big deal. I mixed a packet of True Lime and True Lemon in with the Suprep and added the water. Drank it in 2 minutes with a straw. It didn’t taste bad at all. My only complaint with this whole thing is how much liquid you have to drink. My belly was sloshing all night. Other than that, it worked great!"

For Bowel Preparation "Tastes horrible but effective. I had no nausea or chills. I drank it at 4:45 PM and really nothing for 1 1/2 hours... then a regular bowel motion. About a half hour later, Katy, bar the door. Then the squirts till about 10:00. I got up a couple of times in the night but no big deal. At 4:15 in the morning, I suffered through the second dose. Immediate results and squirts for about 1 1/2 hours and a few sporadic times after that. It is 7, and I think I am done. Almost time to head out. My procedure is at 9:40. I hope this is it for the next 5 years. I think the worst part is not eating. I am ready for some Mexican food. A huge pile of enchiladas, rice, beans, hot sauce, and hot flour tortillas smeared with butter."

For Bowel Preparation "Did SUPREP for the first time this week. After the first part (evening dosage) - I thought it was the best prep ever. Relatively easy to get down vs. prior 3 preps. The flavor was pretty manageable, it acted very quickly and was a very effective prep. I was a little queasy, but it was no big deal. All night I told hubby, “this is easy peasy!” And I got a good night's sleep - something I couldn’t do with prior preps. I woke up early for the 2nd half of prep. This was MUCH tougher to get down - I could only do about 3/4 of it, and only a little water. I finally used apple juice. 20 minutes later, the nausea was overwhelming and... up it all came. When I went in this morning for the colonoscopy, the nurses were unconcerned about what had happened - they said this isn’t unusual for the 2nd half of SuPrep. And my clean-out was fine! Would I do this prep again? In a heartbeat! An easy first part, a good night’s sleep, and knowing the 2nd part isn’t a showstopper make this a good prep for me!"

For Bowel Preparation "The risk for this prep is too high! Nausea/vomiting are listed as both a bad and general side effect. There's little indication of the difference. Almost 30 hours after starting the prep, I ended up in the hospital with a sodium count near critical levels. The colonoscopy was successfully performed 16 hours after prep started. Continuing nausea prevented adequate replenishment of fluids and electrolytes post-procedure. NEVER AGAIN!"

For Bowel Preparation "I really dreaded this stuff. I am a wimp when it comes to eating and drinking. This stuff wasn't bad at all. I chilled it for a couple of days, then iced the water first. I extracted the ice and added the Suprep. It didn't even taste that bad. Kinda like a salty Kool-Aid. Just imagine your five-year-old made it, and drink it down. No problem. Started to work in about 30 minutes. No cramping, no nausea, not even uncomfortable. The worst part so far is the day without real food. Hoping tomorrow goes as well!"

For Bowel Preparation "Full disclosure... I am a self-professed hypochondriac. I have been frightened out of my wits for years at having a colonoscopy because I have heard all the horror stories. I chose Suprep as it came recommended from a friend. I prepared myself fully... I went on a low-residue diet one week before, and I bought Smart Water and drank 2 liters during the day I started my prep to make sure I stayed fully hydrated. At 6:00 p.m., I drank my first 6 oz. in water... not bad. I got it down in 5 large drinks. I waited 40 minutes, and then I literally sat on the stool for the next 1-1/2 hours. I had NO GAS PAINS, NO NAUSEA. Nothing!!! I have a very sensitive stomach and was very concerned about getting sick. I set my alarm for 3:00 a.m. and drank my second dose. I sat on the stool for 2 hours until it was time to drive to the hospital. My experience was fantastic. I would rather take this for my chronic constipation than Dulcolax any day of the week. Finally, a great colon prep!"

For Bowel Preparation "Well, just finished going through the first portion of the Suprep. I must say, it was very difficult to drink. The taste is awful. I had to put a cup with Gatorade next to the cup with the preparation, so I could drink a sip between each time that I took a drink of the Suprep. But it really has worked. I was terrorized with fear, but I haven't had any cramping or stomach ache at all, no nausea, no headache, and except for the terrible taste, the experience hasn't been bad at all. This is my first time getting ready for a colonoscopy, and I was glad I found this site before I started, it eased all of my fears by reading all the other comments. Thank you for having this site up. It helped me a lot. Hope I am able to help someone else."

For Bowel Preparation "I just returned home from my colonoscopy. It went great! The doctor said my prep was a 9 out of 9 - it was perfect. Some tips: Get your doctor to prescribe Zofran (anti-nausea pill) to take an hour before each dose of Suprep. I had absolutely no nausea or vomiting. I refrigerated the prep and also used cold, bottled water. I think what helped me the most was a lemonade slush from Sonic. I held my nose and gulped down 6 swigs of the prep, followed by some slush. I swished the slush around in my mouth before I swallowed, and it removed all taste of the prep. I would then wait about 30 seconds and repeat. It took 5 minutes to drink all the prep. I then took the entire hour to sip/drink some more lemonade, Sprite, and chicken broth. I repeated again at 3 am - making sure I had saved half my Sonic frozen lemonade. Zofran, holding my nose while drinking, and especially the lemonade slush made it tolerable. The taste of Suprep is gross, but like someone else said, I’d rather prep for a colonoscopy than chemotherapy!"

For Bowel Preparation "I have to do this every year, due to Crohn's disease. I still get nervous and anxious, like most. However, it's never that bad! I actually guzzle the prep, right out of the bottle, after having it in the freezer, to the point of almost icy. Then I chase it with strong, ice-cold lemonade and then apple juice. Since you need so much fluid, that much water makes me nauseous. I sometimes get nausea, sometimes chills, and usually bloated. That goes away for me when I start going. Another great tip, while you're going? I use pure coconut oil instead of Desitin and only wipe/blot with flushable baby wipes that I keep in the fridge! :D"

For Bowel Preparation "Piece of cake. I stopped eating meat, poultry, and fish 2 days prior. Ate low-fiber foods the day before prep, and only liquids the day of. Placed Suprep and water in the freezer one hour before drinking. Mixed it as per instructions, and drank it all through a straw in 10 minutes flat. In between drinks, I'd swish some Powerade around to kill the aftertaste. Drank my 32 ounces of water in another 15 minutes, and waited. Didn't have to wait long! 45 minutes after the first gulp, it had arrived at the other end. Off and on the toilet, and it was over 90 minutes later. The 3am feeding produced the same results, but this time it only took 15 minutes to arrive. 1 hour later, it too had finished. No chills, nausea, or headache. Taste not that bad."

For Bowel Preparation "I started my first round at 5:30 pm on Mother's Day (Lovely!!). Yes, it is disgusting, horribly salty, but I managed to get it down without too much fanfare. I followed that with two 16 oz bottles of water mixed with a packet of electrolyte powder. Got all that down by 6:30, and by 7, the fun started. I was a little underwhelmed by the, er, movements. Only the first one was impressive. The rest were relatively benign. I had no cramping or nausea, but I did feel cold all evening, probably because of the lack of food and the cold liquids. By about 10:30, I was done. I managed to sleep uninterrupted until my alarm went off at 6:15 to start the second round. Things happened much more quickly this time, probably because there was nothing much left to flush out. By about 8:30, anything that came out was clear water. I had my last trip to the bathroom about 11:00. In summary, the Suprep was unpleasant. However, I've tolerated much worse things in my life. This will soon be forgotten."

For Bowel Preparation "I have had 20 colonoscopies or so and have had mostly Golytely 4 liters in the past. Hands down, this is the easiest prep I have ever had to do. Doing a split prep was awesome, and in the past, I had nausea, vomiting, and severe pain. With Suprep, I didn't even cramp. Clear liquids the day before the procedure helps. I would pay full price for this, you have no idea how much better it is than what has been available in the past."

For Bowel Preparation "This was by far the worst stuff I've ever had. The liquid smelled like cherry soda but tasted like despair. It was the most soul-destroying experience ever. Getting the first batch down the pipes was difficult, due to the extreme nausea and horrifically bad taste. The second batch was a fight to not vomit it up immediately. I lost the will to live by the time it was over. NEVER AGAIN."

For Bowel Preparation "I’m currently on the porcelain throne while writing this. I took half of the Suprep (all I could bear to keep down) and then drank a ton of water. And now I’m a faucet. But hey, if this is what is going to help me figure out why I’m constipated all the damn time, then it’s worth it. I wasted more time worrying about the prep. It’s not bad at all. Keep wet wipes (non-scented and baby soft), petroleum jelly, and hemorrhoid wipes on you, and I promise you’ll be fine! Don’t let bad reviews stop you from finding your answers!"

For Bowel Preparation "Greetings, fellow preppers! Positive as far as results and even taste. I've done other cheaper preps in the past, and while the 'end' results were clearing, others made me gag and vomit, but not this. Please do have your bottle of water chilled in the refrigerator so cold. Manage clear liquids all day till 6 pm, poured the 6 oz bottle of prep into the container provided and then topped off to the fill line with cold water. Grabbed a lemon and a straw, then proceeded to the bathroom in case I got sick drinking it, but I didn't. I actually found the straw annoying and gagging, so removed it, licked the lemon, then started sipping a mouthful at a time. Got it all down in 10 minutes, then 30 minutes later on the commode, clear in 1 1/2 hrs. Repeat in the morn. Blessings to you."

For Bowel Preparation "Not bad at all and never got nauseous or had problems when it hit. Start fasting with only fluids beginning the day prior to drinking your prep. Make sure solution and water to mix it are very cold. I used a large 'smoothie' straw and bit into chilled lemon wedges dipped in sugar before the first sip and when I had to stop between sips for air. Glad I read that too because it worked wonderfully!!!! Stuff started working within 20 minutes but was not bad since I had only liquids in my system for the 2 days and ate very lightly 3 days prior. Dr. said the result was excellent and thankfully no polyps were found. By the way, the procedure was so easy and the Propofol worked very well!! Hope this helps! God bless!"

For Bowel Preparation "I read many of the reviews before I had to take my first dose at 6 PM. I had to stop reading because the comments were making me nervous. I took the advice of putting it in the fridge. I also filled a pitcher with ice water and put that in the fridge, which I used to mix with the Suprep. The taste was not bad. It reminded me of the grape-flavored Motrin I would give my kids when they were younger. But there was a very salty taste to it, too. It started working almost immediately. Be kind to yourself and get some soft toilet paper or wet wipes. Vaseline helps, too. I was done with bowel movements by 8:15. The second dose (at 5 AM) did not go as smoothly. I felt kind of nauseated while drinking it. I did get it down and the 2 additional 16 oz of water, but I had the chills and felt bloated. It works well."

For Bowel Preparation "I cannot get over the nausea that starts after the first chug. I know I have to try to plug my nose and swallow. Tried the variations of liquid with it, and this being my third, nothing helps. I resist puking as long as possible. I went the entire day on clear liquids until after that first bottle. Yup. I ate four crackers. That did help some as the taste left is absolutely awful. I would rather take any pill (in any combination of pills) than drink this! GI specialists, please listen. We take time out of our busy lives to actually share and voice our concerns and opinions. We want a different choice. Why? The taste makes us puke. The taste does not go away. This impedes proper preparation and care. We deserve better."

For Bowel Preparation "Need super soft toilet paper, (Charmin), Triple Paste after each blowout (Walmart), wet wipes & straw. Blot, don’t wipe. Mixed 1st dose with tap water. Horribly salty. I started gagging. Swallowed first 8 ozs slowly with a straw at the very back of my throat over a half an hour, and then sucked on a lemon slice. Still rough, but the lemon helped. Waited 1/2 hr and managed to swallow the second 8 ozs the same process. Nauseous, but kept it down. Worked within 20 min. Stayed on the toilet for 2 hrs with an iPad to distract me, as the draining was pretty much nonstop. Mixed the second bottle with 1/2 tap and 1/2 refrigerated water. Was slightly better, but still awful. Chased each time with lemon. Again, sat on the throne for 1 1/2 hrs, then slept on the bathroom floor, just in case. Could not force down the last couple of ozs. I never ran off completely clear. Was a light yellow, but the colonoscopy went fine. Had a small portable heater and a blanket in the bathroom to help with the chills. Good luck to each of you."

For Bowel Preparation "I started my prep at 5 pm for an 8 am appointment. If you have plans to mix it, use anything other than cherry flavor, as it already comes cherry flavored. I mixed mine with cold water, drank it using a straw, and it was horrific. The BM started within an hour. Expect it to be completely liquid. Within a few hours, it stopped. My second dose was set for 2 am, but I started at 1 am since I knew I wasn’t going to be able to drink it. This is the time I had chilled the medication, but it made no difference. I even tried sipping vegetable broth in between sips, which didn’t help, but what did help was gargling with Listerine Cool Mint mouthwash in between sips. I was able to drink about half, then quit due to wanting to vomit. With the second bottle, I had chills and nausea, and BM started 15 minutes later. This prep was the worst thing I had to consume, although it is very effective. I will never use this medication again. I will go back to Miralax, which was more tolerable. I don’t understand why they can make a pill camera for the GI but can’t manage a palatable bowel prep."

For Bowel Preparation "This is my 10th colonoscopy, and Suprep is by far the best prep kit I've ever used. So effective and gentle at the same time. No cramping and clear and empty in 2 hours. I did have some nausea and freezing chills. I was so cold my fingernails turned blue. My body temperature dropped to 96. The taste is the least of my worries. Suck it down and move on. They all taste terrible. At least it's only 16 ounces. So glad I got lucky enough to find Suprep!!!"

For Bowel Preparation "I read all the reports and was really scared to take the medicine. I used a hair clip on my nose even to open the bottle. I diluted it with water that was naturally flavored with citrus. I still do not have any idea what it smells or tasted like. It was a lot of fluid, but it started working before I finished the first glass of the same sparkling water after the first dose. I had no nausea or anything but a little bloating. I did get slightly cold, especially my extremities. It's not fun not eating and getting up at 2 am for the second dose, but not that bad considering what cancer does and how radiation, chemo for a year, and surgery makes one feel. I know because my husband had colon cancer before he was fifty."

For Bowel Preparation "I can tolerate a lot, but this stuff made me gag!!! It took all my effort not to throw it up! I’m not sure I could go through this again! I must say that it works great. But I think I would opt for the ‘old’ way if I had to do it again. Even the thought of the taste of it makes me gag!!"
