For Bowel Preparation "The person who said this tasted like salty grape cough syrup was dead on! The first dose was okay, worked within 45 min and done by 2.5 hours start to finish. Here I am at 2:30 am to do the second dose. I can't do it. I keep diluting it with the 32 oz of water I'm supposed to drink afterwards, to kill the taste. Hopefully, it works but I have spit it back up. Oh, and first dose very bloated after drinking it all. Don't know if I can do it. Worst stuff ever! MoviPrep back in 2012, while it tasted better, had worse effects afterwards and took all night. I guess it's the price you pay. But waking up in the middle of a sleep cycle isn't cool knowing you'll be up for the next three hours and surgery is in 4."

For Bowel Preparation "The taste is horrible... that’s a given and didn’t expect anything more than just that. I read to drink it SLOW, so that’s what I did to help with stomach pain. FIRST DOSE 5 pm - Only mild stomach cramping. Felt super FULL/BLOATED for about 30 mins, and then it was GO TIME! Exactly two hours on the toilet! I stood up long enough to get the blood flow back in my legs, then it was quickly back down. It was AWFUL. SECOND DOSE 8:30 am - I THINK I CAN, I THINK I CAN... DO I GOTTA??"

For Bowel Preparation "The taste was awful, but not so unbearable I couldn’t drink it. It’s medication, it’s not going to taste good. However, it worked amazingly fast. The first dose hit almost immediately and cleaned me out within 90 minutes. After the initial clean-out, I only really used the bathroom 3-4 more times. The second dose has done about the same. The side effects I felt were bloating and chills, but both passed rather quickly. In addition, I was actually able to sleep that night before the colonoscopy, something that didn’t happen with Miralax."

For Bowel Preparation "I was nauseated for a couple of hours after taking the first prep. It was effective in doing what it was designed to do. However, my side effects lingered for 2 weeks after the colonoscopy. I became severely constipated with stomach bloating and pain. I was beginning to think I had an obstruction. Even taking a double dose of Miralax and another laxative at night, I was having very little success. After about 2 weeks, the problem resolved itself and all was good."

For Bowel Preparation "This was my 2nd colonoscopy since 2009, and this prep was by far the worst because my first prep did not clean me out near as good as this one did. Did not know what to expect as far as taste, but it was yuck, and all I could do to get it down. The nurse told me not to gulp it, as it may come right back up, so I drank it over about a 10-minute period. Not bad, but the aftertaste is the killer. Started working in about 30 minutes, and for the next 3 hours, it was doing its job. Some advice: get some moist wipes, they are wonderful versus toilet paper. The second dose was about the same. Did have some bloating and chills from all the cold water, but no cramps, only a sore backside and legs from sitting on the toilet for so long. The procedure was easy."

For Bowel Preparation "I wish I could say the taste was the worst part. For me, it was the two glasses of water you are required to drink after the first 16 ounces of medicine. Apparently, I drank it too fast, as it bloated me up till I thought I would burst. Tried to burp but threw water up in my mouth. And like so many others here, I am dreading the second dose at 2 a.m."

For Bowel Preparation "After a positive result from the get, go, gone test, a colonoscopy was required. I was told to use magnesium two days before the procedure, then Suprep split cleanse. The first day of 4 oz. every 15 minutes then followed by two 16 oz of water was not so bad. The taste is bitter, so I went the Mary Poppins route of a spoonful of sugar after each 4 oz. After about 30 minutes from the last 4 oz, it was working, lasting about two hours nonstop. Just so you know, you are not done when you think you are done, comes with no warning, so just stay put. Morning dose was hard to swallow, really hard to get down, and started to work before I finished the last 4 oz. I somehow got it down, drank all the water, and after about 1.5 hours, done. No leakage. Only complaint was the bloating from all that water, as I don't drink a lot normally. The get, go, gone was a false positive. You would think they could come up with a better-tasting solution, making the process somewhat easier."

For Bowel Preparation "I have had 2 colonoscopies before, and both times used magnesium citrate and Mountain Dew, a lot cheaper and for me more tolerable. The Suprep bloated me severely, where I not only could not get the 32 oz of water down within 1 hour but struggled to keep it down. The taste wasn’t any worse than the magnesium citrate, but for me, it just swelled me up to a very uncomfortable level. Seems to work well. There wasn’t a problem with the magnesium citrate, so hope no problem with this. Everyone is different, so what would bother me might not bother you."

For Bowel Preparation "The worst colon prep I have used. It caused bloating, slight nausea, growling stomach, and stomach cramps. I lived in the bathroom. Never-ending. Taking one bottle and having to consume about 42 oz of water within one hour AND THEN having to repeat the process six hours later."

For Bowel Preparation "Doing this med now 4 pm. Two rounds of one gallon. The other half at 5 am for a 1:40 pm appointment. Didn't taste so bad, just felt bloated. Oddly, it took over 2 hours to start. Took 8 oz at 20-minute spans. Label says 10 but pharmacy said 20. Had chicken broth I made, but after reading different schools of thought, thinking the fat in the chicken broth could have held me off for the 2-plus hours time frame above. Gatorade orange and clear, tea, water, coffee. Afraid to drink anything because it makes me run to the bathroom. Have to drink, though I believe, because as of 12 am no more anything I'm told. It's coming out a tad clearer now as of 8:45 pm."

For Bowel Preparation "I am mid-prep right now, and I feel compelled to write this after my horrible experience. I am 48, finished chemo and radiation for breast cancer about 6 months ago, so I don't know if that has affected my experience. And my dad had stage IV colon cancer, so I know other preps are not easy either. But the taste of this is unbearable and vile! I had severe bloating and nausea, took a Zofran after speaking to the nurse. About 2 hours later, I ate half a bowl of broth and had 6 or more projectile vomiting. Called the doctor, he said don't take the 2nd bottle, indicated it worked faster in me, I assume. Had jello and Sprite later, 2 hours from that, more stomach pain and 7 more projectile vomiting. I am afraid to drink anything now. NEVER again!"

For Bowel Preparation "Awful tasting. Very difficult to get past 8 oz without feeling like gagging and/or vomiting. Be prepared for bloating and stomach cramping. It also made me feel like I had the flu with chills, a splitting headache, and nausea. It took every ounce of psychological willpower (and sucking on a lemon) not to vomit. The only reason I gave more than one star is because it worked relatively quickly (compared to other preps) and sufficiently cleaned me out, like crystal clear! P.S. You don’t have to drink it within the 15-minute window - take breaks between sips if necessary."

For Bowel Preparation "It gets a 6 for overall rating. I’d give it a 10 for doing its job on cleaning me out. However, I did have a poor bowel prep during the colonoscopy procedure, but that’s only because I didn’t finish both bottles. After only taking 5 gulps, I started having waterfalls coming out my bottom within 30 min. A little bit of cramping and a whole lot of bloating. It gets a 3 for comfortability, it made me feel so bloated I felt like I couldn’t even drink regular water to keep me hydrated. Bloating went away when I would pass stool. Now for the taste/ability to drink it and keep it down is a negative -10! People say it’s cherry, I taste grape! I kept drinking and holding my breath and saying to myself, “I can do it, I can do it!” But after every attempt, I’d be gagging and gagging, which would make my stomach hurt even more. I felt like puking, even with a Zofran in me. So I didn’t finish the first bottle nor attempted the second one. But I still had a decent clean out. I hate bowel preps!"

For Bowel Preparation "Tastes awful, but just chugged down the first one at room temp, followed by the required water. My stomach just bloated and got bigger and bigger for the next nine hours. Painful cramping as well. Finally 'went' at midnight! Continued going through the night. Manageable, even slept between, no issues getting to the bathroom on time. I started the second bottle and had a bowel movement within 20 minutes, what a relief, no tummy bloat. I wish I'd read some of the suggestions before starting my prep. I didn't feel any hunger, too nauseous from the prep."

For Bowel Preparation "My 2nd colonoscopy, most thorough cleansing I have ever had. It worked, but for me, the taste is what I still can not get out of my memory! Drink it in big swallows to get through it. Worked within the 1st hour for me, and I was able to get a little sleep the night before. The evening arrived after my AM colonoscopy, I was nauseous and bloated. I was extremely cold and could hardly get warm enough to sleep that night. The day after my procedure, I was not feeling well, and my head felt very disconnected. I called my pharmacist with my symptoms, he thought I was dehydrated. Instead of getting Gatorade, I opted for my own water with natural sea salt and a splash of lemon. The second day after my procedure, I am not feeling 100%. I have added to my diet probiotic yogurts and still lots of H2O! I never read up on other people’s Suprep experiences before, but now I wish that I had! Don’t want to use this product again, there has got to be a better way in the future!!"

For Bowel Preparation "Hard to get down taste-wise. This 'colon blow' didn't take long to kick in, and it's been non-stop for 4 hours now, with another 4 hours until the 2nd dose. Cramping, bloating, chills, barely keeping my eyes open, and oh my poor ass. Seems to negatively interact with every substance on the planet, so I wonder how that's going to work out. I have no doubt that my colon will be thoroughly flushed, which is the point of the medication."

For Bowel Preparation "I took the Suprep as directed in two doses the evening before my colonoscopy. Very nasty taste, it took me close to an hour to finish. I felt like throwing up, but lucky for me I didn't. Well, I waited and waited to no avail. Had a massive headache, so bad! Bloating and the noises in my intestines were so bad even my dog got scared and started to bark. I still had not gone to the bathroom yet and took the other half at 2:00 am in the morning. By this time, I was feeling so bad from lack of sleep and the headache. I lay up in bed not meaning to fall asleep, and when I woke, I was covered in the brown stuff. I was 8 hours in before this stuff worked. My colonoscopy had to be canceled due to not being clear in time. It just didn't work for me."

For Bowel Preparation "I just got back from my procedure, and I have to say I was driving myself crazy by reading all the reviews. I mixed it with some grape Propel and had some lemon wedges standing by. In my opinion, it's not as bad as the negative reviews, but not as good as the positive ones. All in all, I think the Miralax and Gatorade tasted better and didn't leave me as bloated. But I think this was a better cleanse."

For Bowel Preparation "Where do I begin with this… this is the first time I’ve used any type of prep. Let me just say WOW. I took the first 12 tabs at 5 pm as instructed, unfortunately, they were a little too big for me to swallow whole, so I ended up chewing them up. The taste can only be described as ocean water. I was super bloated and full after taking the first pills and drinking the water. However, by about 9 pm, everything started just coming out. At 11 pm, I proceeded with the second set of pills, which again made me feel so full and uncomfortable. But this time it kicked in as I was drinking the water. So, from about 9 pm to 9 am the next morning, I was in and out of the bathroom. Overall, it did its job, but the bloating and uncomfortable feeling was pretty bad."

For Bowel Preparation "So the VA sent me a gallon of this stuff. Drink a full glass every 15 min until half of jug left. Started at 6 pm. It’s 9:30, just now had somewhat of a bowel movement. Drinking the rest at 4 am, procedure at 8. This is my 5th colonoscopy in 10 years. I’m 38. I hate this stuff. Bloating, nauseous, and takes too long."
