Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Belviq for 9 days now and have lost 7 lbs. The first day I had a severe headache and some dizziness. I only took one pill that day. My headache and dizziness went away once the pill wore off. Started again the next day and no headache so I kept going and took the two pills that day. I have had no side effects since that first day. It does curb my appetite and I haven't been hungry. I am using my fitbit and the MyFitnessPal app to keep up with my exercise, calories and water intake. I need to lose around 65 pounds. Belviq costs me $75 a month, I got the discount coupon from my doctor. Update...One Month 15 pounds down. No problems at all, it's working for me."

If I didn't lose weight I was in need of a new blood pressure medicine and possibly cholesterol medicines. I have taken Belviq 5 days and lost 12 lb with no side effects. Thumbs up to Belviq!"

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I just started taking this medicine and completed 2 days thus far. I have noticed that my interest in food, especially the unhealthy stuff, is gone. Even the foods that usually are great at tempting me really have no effect at all. They all of a sudden have become easy to resist. Furthermore, when I do eat, I definitely don't eat as much as I feel full sooner. I also noticed my mood has improved. In just 2 days I have lost just over 1 lb. My doctor did advise me that Belviq should be combined with diet and exercise. I am older so exercise becomes problematic as my joints are stiff. Anyhow I believe this medication will be helpful to those patients who tried everything and failed. I have had no side effects at this point although it is soon."

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My first day on Belviq. 43 yo male - 243lbs. I had a freaky illness about 4 years ago that shook me to my core. Suffered from severe anxiety after the whole ordeal. My doc put my on Zoloft to combat the anxiety (did the trick) but I gained 25 pounds in the process. Finally stopped Zoloft but haven't been able to shed the weight despite running 3 marathons & eating well. Recently approached my doc about Belviq (after great reviews on this site). After some blood tests, she prescribed it. I am sensitive to meds so I was quite nervous popping the first pill. Pretty quickly I felt a happy, a little revved-up and no much of an appetite. The only side effects I've experienced are occasional headaches here and there, but Advil cleared that up. Changed my diet and definitely not having cravings any more, so much that my boyfriend bought me a donut and I told him no thanks! Super proud of myself. I had my ups and downs but in the end I have lost 64 pounds and have thirty more to go. My medicines are down and my blood work has improved dramatically. High praise as this saved me from getting surgery. Only side effect better sleep and I was tired initially first three days. I don't chew my nails and feel more calm and am happier then I have been in years."

It's as if I have no energy to eat more than I have to and my stomach feels more full sooner into the meal so I eat less. Now I have tried many diets, many weight loss supplements without success so I was skeptical. Belviq is different. Instead of messing with your metabolism, it focuses on the appetite center and nothing more. I have had no side effects! My eating habits have changed for the better. I think that is how it works. You forget to eat and when you do eat you eat less. You get used to eating less and better, healthier foods seem to fill you up more than before. I have now new eating and exercising habits so yes, this is the new me. Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Not sure if anyone actually reads these but here is a follow up to my post last month. Today is day 48 and I am down 23 pounds. All side effects except my back pain are all but gone. The back pain is still bad at times. I still feel a little foggy but not so much that it affects me. I started intermittent fasting on 4/29/2019 so we will see how that works along with the medication. I make good food choices in more fruits and veggies and no fast foods. I still have no desire for sweets which was my biggest issue."

I have fibromyalgia and wanted to make sure I waited an appropriate amount of time between taking this and any other meds I had been. In 14 days I went from 195 to 182lbs. The only side effect I experienced was minor headache and sleepiness which has now subsided. I feel amazing. Insurance won't cover but I did receive help from Belviq with cost. Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Belviq for about 6-7 weeks. I have tried every fad diet and never had success. Exercise became almost impossible. So far I have gone from 254-236lbs. A little behind right now as I had emergency Abdominal surgery last week. But I have to say my cravings have decreased that I have to remind myself to eat. I always craved sugar filled treats. Now I can walk past the Bakery section and not look or purchase anything. It has also cut down on our grocery bill. Prepared foods and bakery items add not only calories but can be costly. This girl always ate at least 2 cannolis at once. Haven't had one this entire time! Yeah!"

I was shocked Because when we'd weigh in at work weekly I wasn't seeing high numbers. My doctor says slow and steady wins the race. I guess she is right! Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Belviq on July 24 and in 10 days lost 10 pounds. I drastically changed my eating habits though, you must put in some work for the pill to work, I honestly do not believe though, that even with the change of eating, I would have lost that much in 10 days (I did not exercise in those 10 days). Side effects - I had the worst headache for about 3 days, I just popped some aspirin and eventually the headaches stopped. The one side effect that I did have that I eventually led me to stop taking Beliviq is the tiredness! It was so bad, that I chose not to take the pill anymore (stopped on August 1) and try to do this on my own, and so far so good. As of today August 20 I am down 13 pounds! Outside of that, I HIGHLY recommend it!"
