Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Major Depressive Disorder "I have changed my rating from 4 to 1. Upon recommendation of my counselor, I saw a physciatrist to regulate my antidepressant medication. Thank the Lord!!! Physciatrist switched me to another antidepressant that has been on the market for a long time. It is actually the first one I was ever prescribed, Zoloft. I'm into my 6th day off Fetizma and I'm starting to feel like my old self again. Fetizma had me in a state of mental anguish. I wanted to harm myself. I was so sad, so sad, then rages, then shame over ugliest behavior ever. I hate this medication."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Major Depressive Disorder "I just started on this new drug. I am very nervous about the side effects as many are listed .... But I've tried so many different medications I have to give this one a try!! I was taking Prisiq but had a reaction from the sun ( even with sunscreen ) so took myself off. I enjoy sitting in the sun and was on vacation. On my second day of taking Fetzima no side effects other than my heart feels like it's pounding a bit but nothing that bothers me too much. I really hope this medication works for me. Stay tuned!!"

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Depression "I transitioned from Venlafaxine for Fetzima over 3 weeks. Migraines during this timeframe. I have been on only Fetzima for 5 weeks. My overall mood and ability to concentrate is much improved but the side effects are bothersome. One side effect not mentioned here is what I am guessing is an hormonal imbalance. My nipples are sensitive and swollen (I am a 58 yo male) and have outbreaks of acne mostly on my neck area. My blood pressure went for normal to hypertension stage one. Increased headaches (not migraine quality) and blurred vision. Fits of anger/irritated feelings especially when driving. But I do feel emotionally better than when taking Bupropion and Venlafaxine."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Depression "Fetzima is ruining my life. Its like poison. After being on Paxil for 4 years. I weaned off it with Dr’s direction. After withdrawal were so awful my Dr put me on Fetzima. First 2 weeks I experienced all day gut rot. Dr said that wasn't Fetzima causing it. Week 3 & 4 were pure torture. From vomiting daily, diarrhea, crying nonstop, fits of rage, chest heaviness, lost 12 lbs. Cant eat, feel like I'm loosing my mind. After 30 days I stopped these meds cold turkey. I'd rather suffer with GAD then live on these kinds of meds. Never been so sick. Haven't been able to work. In my opinion Fetzima is garbage....."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Depression "I started fetzima in the middle of January 2020 it is now March. Unfortunately it isn’t doing much in helping my anxiety, my obsessive thoughts. It has helped me from feeling destitute. My energy is up. I think it has less side effects than other SSRIs and SNRI. About my obsessive thoughts - I think about things that upset me in the past. I did do this before I wasn’t on anything but I feel like I do it more often then I use to. Also I read these reviews and see people were in “rage” on this medication - pretty scary. So now I’m thinking I’m like that too lol. I try my best to remember that everything will be okay. Something that has helped ..it seems.. is I take a break of it for a day. Next day I seem to have better clarity. Make sure to advocate for yourself for what’s best for you. They tell you to try different medications I haven’t found much difference in most of them. Good luck to you - love"

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Depression "Only was able to take this for two days. Second day I felt just awful. Similar to Wellbutrin. I don't think my body can handle norepinephrine increase. I also got painful urination that lasted days after I took my last pill... ouch it hurt."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Major Depressive Disorder "On day 10 of Fetzima 40mg after lexapro stopped helping me even though i still take it. So far so good it seems to be helping my mood hope it continues. No side effects that i notice. Going to be upped to 80mg as long as my BP is ok. The struggle continues wont stop till i find some kind of normality"

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Major Depressive Disorder "Some good results from Fetzima but it made me incredibly aggressive and reckless. And I was talking and talking and talking all the time. Trying to pick fights with strangers. So, yeah, had to quit it."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Depression "By day 4 on Fetzima I was having so much anger and rage it scared me. Not a common reaction for me. I was talking extremely fast, reacting to almost anything with anger. I did research on Fetzima, called my Dr. immediately and changed off Fetzima and back to my previous medication. It was the most horrible experience. I've never had a medication affect me in such a terrible way. I'm doing great being back on my previous medication. STAY AWAY FROM FETZIMA!!!"

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Major Depressive Disorder "I have adult ADD,anxiety and Chronic Pain. Had to switch doc's (he moved) and the new one insisted I try Fetzima. I have been on it for a week. In addition to severe nausea & vomiting my stomach is rigid. I have been having bursts of rage that have started to become directed inward. Thoughts of self-harm (though not ones I would act upon). Have had flashes of suicidal ideas & am sad. I wasn't sad at all before I took this drug-just anxious & couldn't focus. I have had serious problems with all antidepressants I have tried in the past. I'm reacting in a similar way though it is less severe and my anxiety (when I'm not angry) is marginally improved. Not enough benefit to outweigh thoughts of self harm & suicide!."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Depression "My doctor gave me this medicine as a treatment for my depression, I also suffer with anxiety. I tried it for a few days and I have to say the side effects really beat me up. I would wake up feeling so crazy and on the second day I had an intense crying/yelling manic anxiety attack. The next day I was laying down feeling relaxed when my heart rate and blood pressure suddenly shot up. I didn't feel anxious or anything it was just my heart rate that shot up it lasted about 30 mins and it was scary to say the least. This drug may be effective for some people but as for me it simply didn't work, maybe if I took it longer but I was risking my heart health. I'm 25 years old I'm to young to be living like someone 3x my age"

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Major Depressive Disorder "I've tried damn near every med you can think of. I have MDD, GAD, PTSD, ADHD..wellbutrin stopped working after 3 yrs, and I don't do well on SSRIs (fetzima is SNRI). So I said , everyone is built different, so trial and error/guinea pig it is. 20mg once daily for 2 days then up to 40mg/day. Day 1 had completely 0 side effects. Day 2 nausea and vomiting, lasted until day 5..which is when constipation began. BUT my depression is under control despite environmental factors I can't control. I am less emotional, moody, or irritable in general. Suicidal thoughts don't last as long as before. I'm not a zombie. No weight gain. Its Good. Not Great. 7/10 for me. Stared 80mg today..nauseous but will subside. I'm pretty stable. Give it a chance."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Major Depressive Disorder "I've tried Zoloft, Prozac, Effexor, viibryd, and now this. Started with 20s for two days before going to 40s. First three days I was vomiting, nauseous, and itchy. When that subsided the depression got way worse (which is huge considering how bad it was before). I cry and sleep way more. I feel suicidal and reckless. Calling my doc first thing Monday morning to change plans because this is not working."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Depression "I am on my third week, 20mlgm first two now 40. Doc plans on two weeks at 40 then 80. I:m not sure if I will stay there or what just yet. The only side effect thus far was about a week of lightheadedness upon rising, which has since subsided. I do believe the depression doesn't feel quit as heavy and the three hours I do sleep were better sounder sleep. I have tried everything there is and this is wook for a whole then side effects outweigh bennifit or just stop working. I am hoping that the seemingly quick response continues. This could be the one. Hopefully the saratonin reuptake adds to it's effectiveness. Waiting to see../"

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Major Depressive Disorder "I've been on 20 mg for a month. My dr said I should start on a lower dose because of stomach issues I've had in the past. I've tried SSRIs and I didn't like them. Wellbutrin was fine but now am trying this. My body feels energized in the morning, even if I had only had 5 hours of sleep. I haven't noticed any changes to my mood, I still feel negative. My heart rate has gone up, I notice my resting heart rate is not as low as it used to be (I wear a Fitbit). Haven't had any weight gain, haven't had any libido changes, and my stomach hasn't hurt. So far, 1 month in and on a lower dose than he starting dose, I have had no negatives, but also no real positives either."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Depression "Tried many antidepressants. SNRI are far superior to all SSRI for my MDD, but at the higher recommended dosages. Effexor XR at 225mg had been the best fairly better than Pristiq and much better than Welbutrin. Won't take Cymbalta or any other hepatic side effects possibilities. Did try in for 6 weeks with no improvement. My insurance covers Fetzima 40mg not much help 80mg vast improvements and 120mg first 2 weeks no difference after that 15 to 20% improvement. Wellbutrin no help. Zoloft importance and no help after 4 weeks so no go. My advice try Effexor XR and don't give up on it until 4 weeks at 225mg. Especially if SSRI aren't working. I had no known side effects at any listed does and been on antidepressants for 17 years"

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Major Depressive Disorder "I started taking Fetzima as an alternative to citalopram, as it was no longer effective for me. I immediately started feeling sick (queasy, light-headed). My doctor told me those were withdrawal symptoms, but I still feel them weeks later. I quickly became irritable and have gotten worse and worse. I'm hot and sweaty most of the time, but when I'm cold I also sweat. The irritable and constant crying have caused me to gain weight as I'm eating all the time to try to feel better."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Depression "I have had amazing success for depression with Fetzima 80 mg daily of this med. I take it in the morning. The depressive symptoms I was feeling disappeared after less than a week. It is so great to feel back to 'normal' again. I do sweat WAY more, and if I have even a mild alcoholic drink my face gets really flushed and I sweat even more. But it's a great medication for me."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Depression "I have been on cymbalta for years. Recently I went through a series of extreme life changes. Cymbalta didn't seem to be working. I went into a deep depression. My doctor switched me to fetzima. I am on day 10 my medication. I have notice extreme sweating and out burst of anger. I was more laid back on Cymbalta. I am hoping if I give it a little more time that maybe the effects will get better."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Major Depressive Disorder "Started taking 60 mg in the morning for 9 days and then increased the dosage to 80 mg for major depression along with anxiety. The main effects I felt were extreme agitation, irritation, and anger. It was next to impossible to concentrate on anything. My body and brain were very restless. Realizing that antidepressants take some time before they reach full effect, I tried my best to push myself to stay on it to see if I experienced any improvements. I didn%u2019t. So, after 5 weeks, I stopped taking it."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Major Depressive Disorder "I have struggled profoundly w severe depression for 40 years . I have tried 23 different anti-depressive drugs in multiple different combinations without luck . Last year I underwent ECT (electric shock treatments).I felt better briefly . When the depression returned I turned to Fetzima before trying the MAOI's . I am fortunate not to be experiencing the most serious side effects , although I may be having trouble w my eye due to the drug . I am depression free for the first time in years and very grateful ."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Major Depressive Disorder "I gave it a 5 because Im only on day 5 of treatment. The only reason I'm leaving a review is because the side effects have been awful already. I've vomited every single day between last Wednesday (first dose) and today (Monday, 5th dose). I've had a killer headache 3 out of 5 days. I can't sleep for longer than a couple of hours, which makes no sense as I'm on 2 different sedatives - I should definitely be sleeping. And i've been constantly covered in sweat. Even when I feel cold, I'm sweating like an animal. I haven't noticed any mood changes (positive or negative) which is expected because of the short time I've been taking it. I just thought I'd share the side effects and hope they go away with continued treatment!"

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Major Depressive Disorder "Absolutely awful. Took it for 5 days and became a complete rage monster, just like the other reviewers. I hope you can all find something that works for you, whatever that ends up being (even if it's this!) and remember: many things exist that you can't see right now, and a purpose for living is no different. Good luck, mental health warriors!"

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Depression "Where do I begin? I’ve exhausted almost all of my options for approved antidepressants in Canada, with my fair share of negative & positive experiences. Fetzima is the 2nd worst I’ve ever taken, right above Moclobemide. After only a couple days, I had the worst headache of my life, felt like my brain was in a hydraulic press, couldn’t even open my eyes. This lasted 4 more days until I stopped taking this medication. I experienced nausea, but not as bad as some other reviews state. I experienced the body tingling, although this wasn’t too bothersome. I experienced heart palpitations accompanied by chest pain. There is a disabling brain fog that comes with this medication, it certainly numbs your severe emotions, but leaves you with a miserable feeling of apathetic melancholy. I also experienced ear popping & severe sinus irritation, although I’m unsure if this was related to the medication. Not even close to being worth a try for me, but everyone is different."

Fetzima (levomilnacipran) for Depression "Switched from Zoloft, after the initial first week and withdraws from the zoloft, I noticed that my irritability never went away and seemed to get worse. I was yelling at my kids 3 days straight and realized this just isn't me. It's treated my depression but the irritability and agitation along with the other effects just are not worth it. Have a hard time sleeping due to the dreams that I have that only started once I started taking it. Hallucinations started as well. It seems some days I have a hard time with what's real and what's not only when just relaxing my mind seems to jump all over. Will be switching ASAP this drug isn't for me. I would rather have the weight gain from the zoloft. Expensive even with insurance."
