Takhzyro (lanadelumab) for Hereditary Angioedema "I have been on this medication for 10 months. Biweekly self-injection. Prior to starting this medication, I was at extreme risk of facial swelling from facial or dental trauma. I was also experiencing vomiting and nausea from any spicy or fatty foods. I have not had any symptoms of vomiting or nausea or swelling since taking this medication. No side effects noticed to date. Apparently, this medication can cause kidney issues. My blood is tested regularly for this, and to date, I have not experienced any physical concerns. I am certain my doctor would advise if blood tests showed issues."
