Taltz (ixekizumab) "Diagnosed with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis disease 16 years ago. Put on methotrexate; simponi 1x month with 20mg Leflunomide everyday for 10 years but developed a chronic cough + leflunomide caused diarrhea. Cimzia (3 months - no change), Started Taltz 1x month 18 months ago Rheumatologist added 500 mg of Sulfasalazine a day, doctor prescribed 50 mg arthrotec 2x day for pain. Taltz works well on the psoriasis but not working on the arthritis. Past 5 months have been experiencing horrible tendon/muscle pain in upper arms; wrists; outside of calves. Joints feel stiff and am noticing more plaque on soles of feet. Biologics are suppose to be the most aggressive treatment but most seem to be supported with secondary medications. Agree with others, the injection is painful, burns and leaves welt for 3-7 days, icing before injection helps - epi pen style is better! Some biologics are used as TFN blockers while others are inhibitors?"

Taltz (ixekizumab) "I just started my injections today. I was reading the reviews and combined with a horrible experience in the past with the epi-style self-injections it made me not even want to try the injection. I was terrified but after a few deep breaths I quickly hit the button and I felt nothing. If there wasn't a stick mark and a bit of raised skin I would have thought the injection didn’t work. One injection site is without any noticeable mark an hour after injection but the second injection site has a large welt. I’ll update my review after a few months."

Taltz (ixekizumab) "Ok, so I'm only 45 days in after 18 months on Otezla, and I could not be more excited about Taltz. For the past 18 months, I experienced nausea twice a day after taking Otezla. I tried everything - with foods, without, etc., and nothing seemed to work. That drug did happen to give me relief - 7/10 from the arthritis, though skin conditions didn't change much, but they weren't 'that bad.' 45 days in on Taltz and I feel like a million bucks. The arthritis relief is 9/10, the skin condition has improved, and I have zero nausea and only have to do one simple injection a month."

Taltz (ixekizumab) "My grandmother took a Taltz injection and immediately went into a stroke and died. We are in the process of a lawsuit where they deny all responsibility and continue advertising to people who do not need or want this medication."

Taltz (ixekizumab) "Very helpful with obliterating PsA symptoms that had been painful enough to wake me at night, and incidentally clearing up undiagnosed skin effects I had for decades. When choosing the injection site, I imagine my belly as a clock face and the digits corresponding to the month. Then I don't have to remember where I injected it last."

Taltz (ixekizumab) "Had my first Taltz injections today. I have taken Humira, Cosentyx, Simponi and Enbrel for my condition and never had such a painful injection. I wonder if they are using square needles? Over the years Humira especially has somehow managed to make their auto injects almost painless but the Taltz injections were by far the worst"

Taltz (ixekizumab) "Currently about 3 months in. I also have psoriasis and it almost immediately started going away. Each injection my psoriasis was noticeably better the next day and is basically clear now just some deep redness that takes time to heal I'm few spots. I have gotten a couple of eye lid infections since starting, I get headaches which us uncommon for me and the fatigue I get from it is pretty bad but not much worse than Humira. In my opinion this is more painful than humira or etanercept and honestly those didn't bother me but this one I hesitate at times taking. I get many injection pens that don't work as intended and I have to have replaced usually from getting stuck inside itself. For me at this point I find it more effective on my psoriasis than my psoriatic arthritis (PSA) but still effective on PSA and honestly nothing has worked fantastic for me with either condition but has been a blessing quickly with psoriasis."

Taltz (ixekizumab) "Taltz has been a miracle drug for me! I suffered with PS & PSA for 10 years and was prescribed Methotrexate, which made my joints hurt worse and gave me horrible leg cramps every night. I also took Otezla for about 6 months and it did clear up the PS but no improvement to the PSA pain and swelling. When my doctor recommended that I try Taltz, I was resistant because I was scared to take such a strong drug and worried about the possible side effects. But I finally decided to try Taltz and my PS cleared completely up within the first 2 weeks and within the first 3 weeks, the swelling and pain in my fingers, toes, and various other joints got much better. It took 2 months and I was completely out of pain. I had been in such bad pain for so many years that I did not realize how much I was suffering until the pain was gone! The only bad thing was the Taltz injections were very painful, but in 2023, Taltz changed the formula and the injections are now pain-free! Thank you Lilly!"

"I’ve been using Taltz (ixekizumab) since September 2021 for psoriatic arthritis and improvement is incredible. As Adalimumab wasn’t working for me well, Taltz became 2nd choice and I finally can say that I’ve got a lot of what I have list of my mobility - I am still using walking stick, but I can walk for longer, and with less use of pain medication. Flares are not so intense and I only had one when I had to have a longer break when having ear infection. This medication gave me back myself and hope for normal life."
