For High Blood Pressure "I have been taking it off and on for many years. Back when I first started to take it, back around 20 years ( I'm 47 now) it worked. No side effects. Started taking it again for around 8 months now. Side effects galore. Itchy throat, legs & big toe cramps, numbness in my arm, back ache, headache, dizzying, and sleep is like never enough but can't not work. Checking with my doctor Friday to see what is my other options. BP is all over the scale."

For High Blood Pressure "I was on this for 3 years. Just the 10 mg and then I’d cut that pill in 1/2. It really worked to keep my BP safe. I did have an occasional tickle cough. Then summer came an I burned like I never had before. My eyes couldn’t handle any sunlight without a burning feeling. It was terrible. I eventually took myself off the medicine and my sun problems cleared up within a week."

For High Blood Pressure "I started on this medicine 5/4/22. Ended up with a 2 day stay in the hospital because of it 6/5/22. Within 3 days of starting it I got a terrible ringing in my ears. To the point I couldn't hear the TV. Next every time I stood up, leaned over or turned my head too quickly I got terribly dizzy. Then my feet and ankles got so sore it was really hard to walk. I stopped taking it on a Sat and went to the Dr. Mon morning. DR told me I'd feel a lot worse if I had a stroke. But he cut down to half a pill. I took the half pill for about 5 more days and by than I felt unsafe even walking inside my own home. Between the dizziness and terribly sore feet I was very unsteady. At the ER tested my potassium level and it was way to low. Under 2.5. So I had a IV for a day and half. I think this is supposed to be easy on your P levels but for some reason it did a number on mine! I still can't walk right I just hope it clears up. And my BP has been 90/60 w/o meds so I have no idea, but I will never take it again!"

For High Blood Pressure "20/12.5 lisinipril, I have been on this medication for about 7 years now. Everything was fine until 3 months ago when my upper right arm began to ache. It was annoying but I was managing fine. 2 weeks ago my left upper arm began to ache. It has gone from annoying to having a very difficult time getting dressed. Although it keeps my blood pressure in check, it has started to cause major disruptions in my physical abilities. I am only 52 and usually very active. I have made an appointment with my doctor and looking into natural remedies."

For High Blood Pressure "I was prescribed Lisonpiril-HCTZ 20/12.5mg for high blood pressure. After about 2 weeks on it, I developed a dry cough that continued throughout the day and night. I consulted with my doctor who said the cough was due to allergies and to try Claritan which did not work. Two months later I was told to try Zyrtec but that did not work either. After 8 months of chronic coughing, I looked into the side effects of lisinopril and found that dry cough was one side effect. I changed doctors and was advised that I needed an ARB Medication, not an ACE Inhibitor. After a week on an ARB, the coughing has stopped. The only plus to the Lisinopril is that it did regulate my blood pressure."

For High Blood Pressure "This particular generic pill DOES NOT WORK. I've been on the blue octagon shape generic (works excellent) and the peach round generic form (works OK). This is the first time I've been given this white round generic form and it DOES NOTHING for lowering blood pressure. I may have been given placebos. I could tell by a dull headache and realized I'm not peeing like I normally do on this med. I then checked my blood pressure, 141/98. Med was taken at 6 am and I monitored it every three hours throughout the day. Never went below 128/88."

For High Blood Pressure "This medication almost crippled me! Over the course of a year, my joints became so painful that I could barely climb or descend stairs without crying out in pain. This just started out of nowhere; I was perfectly able bodied then - crippled. I started researching arthritis, MS, etc. On a side note, I ran out of blood pressure meds and went without for almost 2 weeks. Miraculously, my legs and knees got noticeably better each day! I figured it was a coincidence and started my BP meds again. All the joint pain came back. I did not truly make a connection until I stopped my meds again for 3 days and I was able to deal with the stairs almost pain free! This time I am convinced there is a connection with the Lisinopril HCTZ and looked online: there it is - muscle and joint pain! It is worth noting that I was on this med for 2 years before this happened to me. It does control my BP. So, it can start at anytime. Be aware."
