For Birth Control "I've been on Tri-Linyah for about a year and a half now, and for the first year, I had no symptoms at all. My skin got better, no weight gain. But these past six months have been terrible. I've had EXTREME mood swings-like fine one hour and the next, I'm full of anger and sadness. I've been crying over the simplest things and getting anxious and sad before bedtime. I look forward to my period week because I know I'll feel like myself again for that week. It's been making my relationships struggle, and I'm about to quit it because the side effects definitely aren't worth it."

For Birth Control "I LOVE this Tri-Linyah birth control. From reading other reviews, it is different for everyone, but I love it. My periods are completely regular, and I know the exact time and day I’m going to start, so no surprise periods. I have barely any cramps, and before this pill, I had HORRIBLE cramps to the point of tears. And the best thing, no pregnancies. I never gained any weight. The only downside is I do get very emotional the week before my period, but nothing severe. It’s just a normal thing."

For Birth Control "I've taken the Tri-Linyah pill for 2 years now and I hated it! I was very emotional the whole month, gained weight, really, really sore boobs, stomach discomfort every day! But it's different for everyone!"

For Birth Control "At 16, I went on the pill. I was on the Ortho Tri-Cyclen for about 3 years with no problem aside from small weight gain. Suddenly, I had gotten my period for 2 months straight! So, my doctor changed me to Sprintec, and immediately I was getting headaches and yeast infections continuously! So now I'm on Tri-Linyah, and it's horrible! My mood swings are out of the world! I lost my sex drive completely! I went from wanting sex with my man of a year all the time to never! The amount of discharge has completely increased, it's horrible."

For Birth Control "I was on this for 3 years, and I can definitely see the pros and cons, but keep in mind, birth control is very different for everyone! Some of the negative side effects I’ve come across in my experience: weight gain in the first year of taking it (went from 153 lbs to 165 lbs), awful mood swings/I’ve noticed a lot more anger in my emotions, I get nauseous every time I take it, and low sex drive. Some pros include: no unplanned babies, periods are light and always on time, clear skin, and bigger boobs. It has its ups and downs, but for myself, it gets the job done, which is great, but I can’t wait till I can get off it in my marriage and get my body back in gear (:"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "If you are searching for a birth control with no side effects, this Tri-Linyah is NOT the one for you! I started Tri-Linyah almost a year ago, and I so regret staying on it for that long. I originally got on this pill for extremely painful periods. It only helped with my periods for about 3 months. After that, the pain was worse, almost more painful than before. And my mood swings, out of the roof! My relationship with my friends, boyfriend, and family suffered from it greatly. I constantly battled between feeling emotionless or absolutely furious—there was no in-between. The only time I was able to actually feel happy, or just normal, was during the week of my period when I was not taking a hormonal pill. I wish I would have read into this pill a lot more before I got on it. The only pro from this pill was no babies!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking this pill for about a year now. I rate this pretty high because I have not become pregnant, which is why I went on the pill. But I have noticed mood swings tremendously and being extremely emotional when my period is coming."

For Acne "I have been using Tri-Linyah birth control for over 2 years now, and I like it a lot. There are some pros and cons, like with any medication. For my acne, it works SUPER well. I used to have horrible, uncontrolled acne, and this I wouldn’t say “cleared” up my skin, but definitely keeps it under control. I have one pimple here and there, but definitely not when I used to have breakouts all over my face off the birth control. It keeps my periods light and my cramps to a minimum. The only downside-and I don’t know if this is just a personal problem-are my mood swings. I get super, super depressed around when my period's supposed to start, and I think the birth control heightens my emotions."

For Acne "I have been taking Tri-Linyah for 8 months now, and it has worked GREAT for my acne. It took about 4 months to finally clear it up, and I haven’t had much of a problem since. The only downside I’ve noticed to Tri-Linyah is the changes in mood. I am super irritable and have mood swings a lot, and am very emotional all the time. It’s so bad that I’m seriously considering not taking it anymore and just dealing with my horrible acne. Everyone is different, though!"

For Birth Control "On Tri-Linyah, my periods are light and relatively easy. I didn’t gain a bunch of weight, but I do have a lot of uncontrollable mood swings and anger - like I’m talking rage, and it’s enough to make me hate this birth control. But keep in mind, every body is different. My skin has been super clear, but I can’t deal with the emotions!!! And neither can my relationship, lol."

For Acne "Horrible!!! This birth control pill caused me to have an upset stomach every day. Then came the mood swings and emotional episodes. And it also caused me to have severe anxiety attacks, so I quit taking it."

For Birth Control "I moved to a new city and a new pharmacy. They switched my birth control from Norgestimate to this Tri-Linyah. Literally, after 3 days of taking it, I had all the symptoms I get with my period! Sore breasts, horrible, and I mean horrible cramps, and HORRIBLE mood swings! Not to mention the constant overheating! I called the pharmacy to switch it back by the 7th day."

For Birth Control "Since I've been on this pill, I've had terrible mood swings around my period, the first week of every pack, I feel nauseous and throw up usually once or twice. I have never gotten pregnant, but my boyfriend and I take extra precautions, and lately, I have horrible acne and back pain."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for only about 3 months. I absolutely hate it. I had spotting between each period, my mood was way out of control, and it made me hungry. I was eating everything in sight, even when I was button-popping full, I wanted more. I'd be full, and my stomach would still grumble. I gained 15 pounds on this even though I'm pretty active and go to the gym 3-4 times a week. Every time I was on the placebo pills, I swear I'd lose 5 pounds immediately, within two days. I have been off of it for 2 weeks now, and I feel like I eat normally again. It also gave me really bad acne. I was blessed with very good skin and barely got pimples. My forehead and chin are now covered in acne because of this birth control."

For Birth Control "I've taken this pill for 3 years. No pregnancies, but 30 pounds of weight gain and insane mood swings. The only reason I'm still on it is because it makes my period incredibly regular, unlike other pills I've tried, but not any lighter and still some occasional cramping. I'm thinking of changing at my yearly appointment or going off of birth control entirely, but I really need to weigh my options. Pills are different for everyone, and I would still recommend it."

For Endometriosis "Pros: Before Tri-Linyah, my period was super irregular, to the point that the shortest time between periods was 2 weeks and the longest was a little over 2 months. With this birth control, my period comes exactly every 28 days. I also had hormonal acne before taking this pill, but since being on it, the only time I break out is the week before my period, but nothing bad, just your normal pimple. I am thankful that I get 3 months' worth before I need to go refill again. Cons: I get super emotional, but it’s whatever. The worst is that I get really intense cravings and I ended up gaining weight."

For Birth Control "On Tri-Linyah, I’ve experienced extreme mood swings and irritability. I feel like my relationship suffered greatly because of this. I was switched to this pill about 3 months ago when I switched pharmacies. I used to be on Ortho Tri-Cyclen. I guess this is the generic form. I just put two and two together and realized my birth control could be contributing to my negative feelings. I stopped it about a week ago and feel so much better."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this birth control, Tri-Linyah, for about a year, and it's completely cleared up my acne, and I used to get severe cramps, and I have not gotten them at all since. The only downside is I have awful mood swings, and my emotions have been up a wall. I also have had yeast infections from this, and I've experienced two-week periods multiple times. I'd say it's worth it for the most part, though."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this contraceptive for about a year now, and I LOVE it. My periods are still the same length (about a week), but they're so much lighter. Before Tri-Linyah, I had the worst period pains, and now my periods are a breeze. As far as mood swings, I don't see a change in my moods other than usual. Also, I haven't gained several pounds because of it. Plus, NO BABIES! Keep in mind it does have different effects on different people."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Tri-Linyah for 4 years. I have never gotten pregnant on this pill. My boobs got a cup size bigger on it, and I was 115 pounds before I took it, and after taking it I am 125 pounds. My periods are on time and lighter on the pill. The nausea subsided about 2 months after first taking it. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it gave me mood swings and lower sex drive."
